Hey, could someone design a D and D scenario based on BoA when it comes out? I'm really tired of the old way and my friends don't play SW games so it'd be cool. Well, I guess it could be based on ANY SW game but this is a BoA forum, see?

I could do it, but I'd probably give up halfway just because it would be too complicated for my incompetant work-ethic. :(

Edit: Alright, quasi-cool idea.

Hmm... good ol' D&D. So you're wanting a scenario with D&D monsters, items, and plots? I could work on that, but don't expect it to be too elaborate. Perhaps someone else should make one, too.

Actually he meant making a D&D scenario based on BoA, not the other way around.
I have a better idea.
Tell them to play Spiderweb Software games instead.

Even if I did get them to play SW games, it wouldn't be multi-player (necessarily).

Oh well. I'd rather do a Geneforge one anyway. Which would be hard because there is only one shaper at a time in the Geneforge series, so it'd have to be much more difficult. Also, I'd combine stuff from 2 into it. It'd be really weird and full of discontinuities, but it'd be awesome. Eh? ;)

Actually the players could play as Sholai and then the other events would unfold around them.

Wow. Well, try almost any RPG at your local Best Buy or something. Anything (pretty much) from Bioware. I'd consider them the best. Baulder's Gate, Icewind Dale, all the greats.

Baldur's Gate (by Bioware) and its expansions and its sequel (of couse, with its expansion too) are two very high quality games that play very well and for the most part adhere to D&D rulesets and do a wonderful job of creating a universe. Check them out; Baldur's Gate 1 is likely twenty bucks MAX, same with BG2. Icewind Dale and its sequel are games based on the BG engine, but with modifications to make them more action-oriented. Neverwinter Nights is also a Bioware D&D game set in the Forgotten Realms universe, but I don't think that even with its flashy new 3D engine (as opposed to BG's 2D) it is up to the standards of plot and gameplay that BG and BG2 set. Give them a shot; they're excellent games in all.

On a slightly unrelated note, another very fine RPG to play if you're looking for some good action is Morrowind. 3D goodness galore!

Oh no! You have done yourself dire.

Anyway, I vouch for the Infinity Engine games being a heck of a lot of fun.

Karzoth, I can only repeat. Oh my!
That makes you own more than 50% of the posts in this thread... :P

Seen anyone qadruple post yet? Non-intentionally anyway (as in posting the same thing due to browser errors)?

It has been done before, but it's always impressive when people rack up those really high numbers.

God. I can explain that. Cable was dying, due to large storm, and the page kept loading and loading. Then finally my power went out. This was, of course, all not intentional (you guys know me, I'm not like that. I could care less about post numbers). :( maybe I should take a break from the boards so my stupid ISP doesn't get me banned.

There's still no explanation for the fact that your third post has a timestamp one minute before your second post... :P

What? That's because I went back and editted the post to say "omg" because I saw what had happened. The power went out literally seconds after I had editted that post. Please, I strive not for posts.

No, the edit has a separate timestamp from the post itself.

Anyway, calm down. I'm not blaming you, just making an observation about something rather peculiar.

We have uncovered your true identity, Karzoth! You are really a man from the future who has traveled here in a time machine. How else do you explain this temporal anomaly? :P

The post time doesn't change with edits. It's the time when the post is first added. There is absolutely no way to make two posts the earlier of which is one minute later than the second one. Strange... ;)
