It's not just that, oh no. It's the constant praise, the ill-gained, undeserved praise. Just like with pink! It's not the fact that they're liked, because green is also liked, and if I went around hating everything that someone likes, I couldn't do much. No... I refuse to be part of the crowd which mindlessly echoes the words of dictators. Love this, this is hip! This is pop! Dress like this, look like that, listen to this, and so on and so on.

But you can blend in if you want. Nothing inherently bad about that. Just isn't me, that's what I'm saying.

It is not me. NOT ME. I do not have blue eyes, damn you. Blue is of the devil. Blue is the popular color. Go on, ask anyone and they'll say "Oh yes, I absolutely LOVE blue, it is so the greatest color ever, like, totally". Everything these days, EVERYTHING, is blue. Everyone loves blue. Blue is the best color, because everyone loves it.

Well, I will have nothing to do with blue, you hear? I love green and I'm proud of it. I hate blue and I'm even more proud of that! Sure, a picture of me would be great, because in my quiet state of forum dwelling any attention is better than nothing, but understand this: You can NOT make me a sell-out, if the price is accepting blue as something more than a mere whore of a color.

Am I being clear here? I do NOT have blue eyes! My eyes are GREEN. Not blue.

And it is NOT a picture of me. Not.

Favourite bad guy ever: Gendur. Complete badass. Also, Gundark, just because he's so pathetic he's amusing.

Hm. Favourite heros.. Definitely Fethos/Amaleyn. And Dinyah, Agath and Syra from the same story.

Also, Grul, Gil and Hasu, the famous trio. There's just something about a ginger mermaid, centaur with a fetish, and a quiet but brilliant troll.

Oh. And Ulrika and Joonatan for that matter. Not that they did much, but the story was rather good.

What's your most embarassing moment? in General

Now what's that thing I said about me fretting about all sorts of little mistakes I do in public... I know I talked about it to someone...
Oh right.
quote:
Storykeepperi: You know, like fretting about something insignificantly small thing you did/didn't do.
Storykeepperi: "I turned a corner too quickly and nearly hit my foot on the corner, oh noes!"
Storykeepperi: "Everyone saw it and are laughing inside..."
Storykeepperi: "That one girl just sniggered." o.o
Well, that's never actually happened, as far as I can recall. Possible, though. Like some others here, I try to repress any memories of perhaps embarrassing/not so embarrassing things to keep myself sane. Not really necessary considering I've no sanity left, 'cos it was left at the doorstep. But that's aside the point.

Right. Embarrassing moment. Um... So, I'm like 3 or 4 or 5 or something, and I'm in kindergarden. Back then we still had this thing with lunch, you know, that someone would read out loud some kids name and he got to go first to get his food. So, one of the nurses says this boy's name - and I get up, like I think 'It's my name, yes, I get to go first!'. But then just as soon I realise it's not my name, and I quickly sit back down, while muttering something about stretching my legs.

And you know what's worst? It STILL bothers me. O.o

Islam 92%
Buddhism 63%
Judaism 58%
Christianity 54%
Paganism 38%
Hinduism 21%
agnosticism 21%
atheism 17%
Satanism 4%

Your beliefs are most similar to those of Islam. Do more research on Islam and possibly consider taking the shahadah and officially becoming a Muslim, if you aren't already. Despite the actions of some - who go against the teachings of Islam - Islam is a religion of peace; the word "islam" means "peace through submission to God." "Muslim" means "one who submits to God." Islam is the third of the three Abrahamic faiths, and it shares much with Judaism in Christianity; its differences are the acceptance of Muhammad as the last and final prophet, and the oneness of God - in other words, that Jesus, though he was a revered prophet, was not in fact God, and only one God exists. Apparently the Taliban could not read (though their name means "students"), because the Qur'an states that men and women are equal as believers, and that all believers should be educated and seek knowledge. Modesty in dress and behavior is required in Islam for both men and women to preserve the values of society and move the emphasis from superificial appearance to intelligence, knowledge, and God.

Um. That was unexpected. I suppose it makes sense, after reading the description, but still. I didn't know Christianity (the usual Church religions, I mean) was that far from what I actually believe in. Interesting result, definitely.

stranger, no. Not sarcasm. That really is a cool picture. I was serious, except for the razz of course.

Also, I really do prefer going shopping with someone and considering I've no close friends I'm with my mum. I mean, not the kind where I go to our nearest shop to buy some food, but the kind where we'll have to go farher away to buy clothes or anything like that.
Also, I have no car and it's difficult to carry big bags of stuff home with just a bicycle, so.. handy excuse. ^^

That picture is just damned cool. I practically love it. Ron actually reminds me of a couple of guys over at my school. They're tutors and in the student body. Sweet, no? :P

Also, about Myst, I don't find Achenar's room very frightening, but I first got there when I was 15 or so, so it wasn't a big deal. What frightens me to this day about that game are some of the underground narrow tunnels. I have to take a deep breath and remind myself that there aren't any people in the game who could come after my character while I'm going there.
Still, when I'm going back I end up clicking madly till I'm outside the whole building and then I still have to check behind my character to see that no one's there. It's creepy. A sort of game claustrophobia.

Otherwise, just spiders and certain social incidents. Going to places where I haven't been before to see someone I've never talked with before freaks me out. Today I had to go to the bank to get my new card, and I had to beg my mum to go with me because I couldn't go alone. Not like it was a big deal afterwards. I just asked it, gave my ID card and got the card.
Scary.

You made pretty speeches. I dislike overly long, mostly quite pointless speeches and so... Besides, you're a bit too noticeable over at Desp, and that can't be a good thing. Not always.

Also, out of you three, Aran is the one I feel I have most in common with anyway.

Don't be silly. Making that was fun! I don't mind at all... Otherwise I would've been forced to make a bland post with just your name in it, and that's not even nearly as fun, right? :P Indeed, I am correct in this.

I have added all of the maps from the game to my site. They are accessible from the maps and in the links under the map, on both resolutions.

Yes, I am aware there is no actual information on most of them. I only have the maps. The rest will come later.

What I'd like for you to do is to browse through all the maps, click all the links and just generally run around the site as much as you can, checking for any mistakes I might have missed.
These mistakes could include 404 links, missing maps, wrong maps, misspelled words, or other kind of wonky errors. I'm pretty sure everything's clean, but I'm tired (it's 3am) and so it's perfectly natural if I missed something.

Also, I'd like to hear your opinions on the site design. Especially how it works (if it works) on the smaller resolution, 800x600. I've tried to make everything so that the pages work on either main resolution, but if something just doesn't work, then please inform me.

Here's the link one more time, in case you missed it on the top: http://gamma.nic.fi/~ribla17/geneforge/geneforge.html
