The Drake Lord fired multiple fire bolts at Shadow Wolf, which he dodged by teleporting himself away in a random direction (Phase Shift. Can sometimes have painful results.). One managed to hit him as he landed, though. He threw several shurikens at the Drake Lord, then rushed behind and performed Sting on it, dealing a small degree of damage. Then the Drake Lord swung its tail at him catching him off guard, and bashed him all the way to the other side of the cavern. Gynia managed to protect him from a barrage of drake fire with a mana shield, before blasting a hail of small Ice Bolts at it... -------------------- Urban wisdom is not actual wisdom. hmm... damn, i haven't run Win98 at home since i bought my new computer last summer. try right-clicking one of the zip files, then click 'properties'. there should be something under one of the tabs that says what is used to view the file, and left of that is a 'Change' button. click that and select Winzip. if you can't do that for Win98, try Tools > Folder Options, then click on the File Types tab. scroll down till you see '.zip' and click on it, and you should see 'Opens with', then what it opens the zip file with, then the change button. again, click the button and select Winzip. -------------------- Urban wisdom is not actual wisdom. "In case you're curious, I wield the Silentstriker," he informed. Even if this drake lord is nowhere near as powerful as the Great Demon, this can get ugly, Shadow Wolf thought. But at least Gynia is here. The drake lord laughed. "Even with a special weapon, do you actually think that you, a ragtag band of oddities, can defeat me? You'd stand a chance if old Motrax weren't shrunken. Just try to make this interesting." "To me, you are just large game," Shadow Wolf insulted. OOC: I assume Wise Man, Maestro, Ryan and ef are all on the battlements. Also, i never mentioned that Maestro wields twin ninja blades (you know, shorter version of the katana) in melee combat. Wise Man took a look outside the fort, and was baffled by the amount of enemy forces. "They outnumber us six to one! We can't beat them back; we can only hold them for so long." "Fear not, Wise Man," ef reassured him. "Unless Kerli falls before assistance arrives, the battle can still be won." "A blademaster does not feel fear." The enemy troops eventually managed to scale the walls, and break a small hole through the wall. "Wise Man!" Maestro called. "The defenses have been breached, we must guard EF!" "You, as our leader, are figuratively the source of endurance for the troops," Wise Man said to ef. "Therefore we must protect you at all costs." "Very well," ef replied. Wise Man grabbed ef and leaped off the wall, landing on the street. He was followed by Maestro and Ryan (who was uninjured only because of the 'Divine Warrior' spell). A precise Ice Bolt ripped through the head of the bear on top of FD, killing it. The warrior looked back, and saw Gynia with her staff pointing in the general direction of the bears. "I'll handle the other bear," Shadow Wolf said, before throwing four shurikens at the bear (OOC: if you're skilled enough, you CAN throw four shurikens with one hand), two of which hit their marks. He then leaped into the air and stabbed the bear in the back of the head, then pulled the blade out before he could lose his grip on it.
