Those people who make themselves into pretzels are pretty amazing, no?

Oddly enough, I am bit of a contortionist and can put myself in an arguably pretzel-like position.

Does everyone remember when President Bush passed out from choking on a pretzel?

The bad thing about people who turn themselves into pretzels... well, they get eaten sometime. I ate my uncle accidentally. We.. uh.. tried to save him.. from the remains. But yeah, God rest his soul.

Okay, I thought you guys should know, I just saw this: http://www.ironycentral.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_profile;u=00004627. He was listed in the directory of people who have popped in on the forums, but I checked as soon as I saw it and didn't see Mr. White as having actually checked any forums; rather, it would seem that all he did was hit this page: http://www.ironycentral.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi.

And the reason this is all on topic is that people choking on pretzels, people eating relatives who have turned into pretzels, and people who are being eaten by relatives after having turned into pretzels, they all make noises that sound like "RWG!"

You, sir, have gone too far. You have besmirched the fine names of legendary onomatopoeiae, such as 'ACK,' 'GAH,' and 'AAH.'

The Batman live action series from the 60's already did that, Drakey. I fear Batman may have ZOMPH!ed onomatopoeiae several blows from which it may never recover.

You can't help respecting anybody who can spell 'onomatopoeiae', even if he doesn't spell it right.

[As far as I can tell Drakefyre did spell it right, but this line adapted from the Philosopher seemed appropriate anyway.]

Mr_White can't be RW. Hotmail address, you see, with no reference to his games. That is, however, the closest member to my member number I've seen mentioned yet.

Mr_White was probably just a reference to Reservoir Dogs.

How about this one, or maybe this one. They are even closer, and they were mentioned.

On topic: Having never played the games, what do you do in the RWG? I am curious to the reason behind all this mocking.

Nobody plays the games, so nobody starts serious topics about them. And it'd be a shame to leave a perfectly good forum empty. Hence the spam.

Now they were. I meant in the course of regular discussion.

It was regular discussion, ben. I asked an on topic question afterwards.

Keeping RWG alive is one of the most important rituals of our order.

But RWG cannot live on spam alone. I am therefore taking the brave step of downloading the GC demo. If I don't make it back, it has been fun.

Curious: neither Safari 2.0 nor IE for mac 5.2 could open the ftp page. But good old Unix command line ftp got the file.

Hmm: after playing through the tutorial, I'm actually impressed. Oh, I understand that the problem is that the game's AI can't fight for toffee. But the graphics are Spartanly effective, and the gameplay seems simple, but potentially rich. Perhaps a revamped AI could revive this game. On the other hand, it looks like making a good AI could be quite hard, because there are a number of options, and a fair amount of motion to plan.

I agree upon downloading it yesterday I discovered it really isnt that terrible. More dated perhaps.
