Kelandon - you surely have better things to be doing with your time than researching the biographies of 20 people with the name Richard White? If not, than I would suggest playing Galactic Core to understand how miserable a Richard White can make you. Poor, poor Richard White. He lost his fame and was never acknowledged for the genius he showed in creating the greatest torture technology ever invented for a Mac. :( -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. It's still there as an old game. —Alorael, who has certainly seen finer forms of torture for the Mac. Some of them are BoE scenarios. GC holds the distinction of being the best form of protracted, nonlethal torture. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Alorael, I have to disagree. "Homeland" is truly horrific. I would rather play Galactic Core for 12 hours straight then play Homeland for 10 minutes. -------------------- And everybody say....Yatta! Posts: 1287 | Registered: Thursday, August 14 2003 07:00 |

Yes, we all love ripping on Galactic Core, but why do we do it? I hate all kinds of games, and yet I don't feel the need to go to their forums and rip on them. Why is GC different? Why do we love to hate it so much? I must honestly say that I enjoy coming here to find out the new and interesting ways people will use to describe their loathing of GC. Its like an audience-participation freak show. Z -------------------- Pan Lever: Seventeen apple roving mirror moiety. Of turned quorum jaggedly the. Blue? That's why I said GC is non-lethal punishment. I think 10 minutes of Homeland could cause serious harm, 20 minutes might result in permanent damage, and half an hour would invariably be lethal to one who has not gradually built up resistance. —Alorael, who isn't sure why it's so much fun to bash GC. It is fun, though, so everyone joins in. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Well can anybody tell me where I can find Homeland 2: The song of the void; where I can actually download it. Maybe it is better than the first one. I went to the Dragonlore website, and they said Homeland 2 should release in 2002.... Oh man! I hated when somebody lie to me. -------------------- If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. quote:One day, Richard realized that GC could not be played on Windows. He was sad. His torture devices would never gain fame among PC users. Then he sat down, and wrote Homeland. Suffice to say that practice, apparently, honed his skills. Edit: That is if he wrote Homeland later. Did he even write Homeland? It strikes me as odd that someone would release two different games for two different platforms without porting either of them... I had never played GC, as it is came out when my Mac (my pretty LC II) was no longer my ordenator. Once, though, I had a dream. This dream, according to the lady down the street that uses Pidgeon's interns to read the future (Pidgeon's, literal translation, not a good one, is a great little company that produces ready to give bread crumbs to facilitate feeding in public plazas) told me I had a Vision of the Future. This vision--from what I've found in an exhaustive, three year old research, about GC--describes a future very similar to the events in that famous game. I am now in the process of acquiring a Mac to play this game and prepare for the future. I recommend all people to do this. The future is known. The future is avoidable, or at the best one can train adecuately to receive it and conquer it. If all the world does this, we may make a better future. (another dream I had involved the past of our world, and it resembled Homeland, which is the real Middle Earth, in the real Earth. But that's another story) (but then again maybe it's all balderdash. I'm waiting for the Pope with the olive and the this and the that or the black Pope or the 112th Pope, or whatever) (as an aside note I played Homeland for about a room. I found that spending an hour in a public plaza, during a day of extreme pidgeon activity, during a day where those afore-mentioned pidgeons suffer from extreme incontinence and hallucinations that make them think I am a 'loo to end all 'loos is a far more entertaining endeavour. but I digress) -------------------- quote:Random Jack Vance Quote Manual Generator Apparatus (Cugel's Saga) Posts: 604 | Registered: Sunday, June 20 2004 07:00 |

A pair of pigeons has built a nest on my balcony, and managed to lay eggs before we could get rid of them. Now the guilt prevents us from doing so. :( So much for using the balcony this spring, and on with bird poop! Did you know that pigeons mate for life? Actually, I have now. It looks much like a baby chicken, only much uglier - under it's downy yellow fluff, its flesh is black. The parents take turns sitting on the nest, but one of them definitely spends much more time there than the other. No way of telling whether it's the male or female though. I wouldn't mind them so much if they didn't poop so much - it's a neat experience, getting to watch a baby bird hatch, grow, and fly away. Oh, and, uh, Richard White is the pigeonest! Word is Bond.
