So... how many people her read comics, from the web or elsewhere? I personally have grown very fond of this form of entertainment, and now spent way too much money on various series money can buy in this back-water town I live in. I've mostly wasted money on mangas like Dragonball, Inuyasha and Full Metal Alchemist (the last one's my favorite by far), while using the local library to read western and native comics, such as V for Vendetta, Watchmen, Praedor and Väinämöisen paluu. On the web, I follow Order of the Stick, Better days, El Goonish Shive and Jack. One of the more recent series I've stumbled upon is Empowered by Adam Warren. It's a bondage-filled superhero parody with an ultra-cute main heroine, and is, strangely enough, one of the most sympathetic things I've read in a long while. I heartily recommend to everyone. I'll edit links to this post once I have more time. In these cases, pictures indeed tell quite a lot more words than me. I mostly only have time for Knights of the Dinner Table. It's a nice look at pen and paper gaming and reminds me of the groups I've played with. Never though of tying the game master to the ceiling fan after a bad session. :) I used to read the old DC and Marvel comics when I was younger and could borrow them from friends. Edit - Forgot the comics version of Myth Adventure that was illustrated by Phil Foglio and his other works Buck Godot and What's New With Phil and Dixie. Also pretty much anything that was in The Dragon. Studio Foglio [ Sunday, April 06, 2008 12:52: Message edited by: Randomizer ] Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Let's see... I follow Doonesbury by Garry Trudeau on my MSN page. It's where I get all of my news from, besides the occasional thread bearing news on one of two forums I follow (One of them might be this one!). Which is why it's quite infuriating when Doonesbury just does a re-run comic strip. That that Bourgeoisie Capitalistic Elitist Classist Aristocratic Corporatist can only get his act together once and a while to write a simple comic strip, while the Proletariat Workers and Peasantry are being oppressed with constant back-breaking labor infuriates me. XKCD, Order of the Stick, and A Softer World. I graduated to webcomics after our subscription to the paper ran out. I still checkout Foxtrot, Non Sequitur, Zits, and Dilbert on occasion. -------------------- Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est. Posts: 344 | Registered: Friday, February 25 2005 08:00 |

I am a fan of XKCD, Perry Bible Fellowship (which unfortunately is now on a "when-he-feels-like-it" production schedule), and Zippy The Pinhead. I don't regularly read any of them, however. I love Neil Gaiman and Alan Moore's writings, they write the best graphic novels! I'm also a fan of Jeff Smith's Bone series...and I used to read a lot of Marvel and DC comics when I was younger. As for online comics, I'm a big fan of CTRL-ALT-DEL ( http://www.cad-comic.com/ ), it's a hilarious cartoon about two gamers. -------------------- "And if I had the choice I'd take the voice I got / Cause it was hard to find. / You know I've come too far to wind up right back where I started." - Concrete Blonde (True) http://tobylinn.awardspace.com http://toby-linn.stumbleupon.com/ Posts: 72 | Registered: Wednesday, February 20 2008 08:00 |

I recently tracked down and assimilated the 8-Bit Theater archives. I also have a strict regime of reading Oots, Erfworld, CAD, Girl Genius, Gunnerkrigg Court, Dresden Codak, Sluggy Freelance, and XKCD. A halo of others are checked more sporadically. -------------------- Überraschung des Dosenöffners! "On guard, you musty sofa!" "Verbs for the weak!" OotS is brilliant. I also read newspaper comic strips. As for comic books, I just found out that you can buy every X-Men comic from the beginning to a few years ago on DVD for not very much, and I've started working my way through that. And wow, the X-Men of the 1960's were not the X-Men of the 1990's, which were the ones that I knew. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens.
