That last one was quite funny, as well. I've not been disappointed in Slarty yet. Long may it last!

I really like the Intermission. That's the longest great parody of a Shakespearean soliloquy I've seen. I am awaiting the next few episodes.

Thanks guys. I'm glad you're still enjoying the strip :)

I don't get it. Was it something Slartucker the dog said that caused combustion, or was TM the savior just being cruel?

TM doesn't cause combustion (and certainly isn't any kind of savior). If you read the previous strips, it should be extremely clear what happened.

Oh. Right. I was just confused because TM was the one laughing. So I guess he was just happy to see others suffer. And the savior thing was just to describe his appearance in the comic (I certainly don't believe you're any sort of canine either).

To be fair, I am probably more doglike than TM is savantesque.

They are actually pretty good, all things considered, but I am still miffed about being made a snail.

But the parody made me laugh out loud. It was so well done that I no longer mind.

Brilliant it was.

Unfortunately, stripcreator does not appear to allow for custom images.

So unless Slartucker finds some different place to upload real comics instead of parodies using a database of ready-made cartoon characters, you will have to be happy with what you are shown as.

Trust me, I don't like being a postman anymore than I like being a pink bunny with a hatchet. :P

Edit: That said, color mods are as easy as breathing with photoshop.

There are four new strips! I am only giving the title of the first one, to avoid spoilers.

MagmaDragoon: What Aran said. I will say, however, that I actually enjoy that kind of limitation. There are still hundreds of images to choose from, and being forced to use something that's not a perfect fit often leads to the discovery of an unlikely but poignant comparison. If I hadn't had to use that crappy mailman for Aran, I wouldn't have been able to make the crack about poser models, for instance, which in turn would have made the stick figures Avernum 4 joke weaker.

For similar reasons, I tend to find metered poetry minus the meter to be more appealing than free verse.

Ha! I looked at all but the last one before it was announced!

That makes Dikiyoba feel so much better. Dikiyoba just went away to sleep and came back to find that Dikiyoba had missed a few things. It's good to know that Dikiyoba didn't miss everything. Dikiyoba needs to get a life...

I'm... well, I'm just kind of confused. Happy to have made an appearance, but confused.

Shall we see Slartucker's journey through the underworld now?

Somehow I doubt - seeing the elegant facility with which he spreads these strips. Procreative minds can hardly be stopped ^_^

PS: Slarty, I wanted to ask you since long time: Are you related to Slartibartfast?

You know, that's really not a bad idea. And I've always liked book 4 of the Aeneid. Hmm. Now, I'm gonna need a guide...

Nomenclaturally, yeah. It's a cross between that, "Starf-----", and my name. I've been using it so long and so widely that it has become pretty native to me.

I never heard of Lazarus visiting the underworld... I mean, yeah, he died for a little while, but that's quite something else, in his tradition.

You don't need a guide. As in John Myers Myers Silverlock, the problem is getting out of the Underworld not passing through it. Pick a moderator to get you out like Aran now that he has been raised.
