Well he decided it wouldn't really benefit by having a wider variety of creations I suppose, after all there are already 25 you can make (including ornks), which is more than the number of spells you get. -------------------- Warning: Posts may contain misspellinks and typo.s Posts: 409 | Registered: Sunday, March 31 2002 08:00 |

I would guess each point of parry is probably equivalent to a certain % of armor, but as for how much the testing needed would be complicated and time consuming. -------------------- Warning: Posts may contain misspellinks and typo.s Posts: 409 | Registered: Sunday, March 31 2002 08:00 |

I concluded that about essence armor from using an armor potion which says its effect is essence armor as I haven't gotten far enough to cast it yet. As for parry, it says that in the description in the stats screen, in fact it only says it has a chance of blocking attacks entirely at "high levels". -------------------- Warning: Posts may contain misspellinks and typo.s Posts: 409 | Registered: Sunday, March 31 2002 08:00 |

No, the neighbor brings in one cow and adds it to them. Afterwards since the amounts willed don't add up to 1, there is one cow left over so he takes it back. -------------------- Warning: Posts may contain misspellinks and typo.s Posts: 409 | Registered: Sunday, March 31 2002 08:00 |

You may want to change your description of parry. Now it reduces the damage you take when you are hit like more armor-blocking attacks entirely is no longer its main function. Therefore it is not as useless as you make it sound. Also you may make note that essence armor also increases your max hp total. -------------------- Warning: Posts may contain misspellinks and typo.s Posts: 409 | Registered: Sunday, March 31 2002 08:00 |

That also means that you can't make terror vlish, pyroroamers, any of the third tier improved creations, and improved rotgroths (can't remember the name) without cannisters. And you need either canisters or rebel only trainers to make drayks and ur-drakons. Does anyone know how many canisters it takes before effects start to show up either in encounters or the ending, and weather getting yourself augmented affects you in the same way as canister use? -------------------- Warning: Posts may contain misspellinks and typo.s Posts: 409 | Registered: Sunday, March 31 2002 08:00 |

No, cause a mailman doesn't necessarily go to front doors, in many places mailboxes are at the curb. The answer was something different. -------------------- Warning: Posts may contain misspellinks and typo.s Posts: 409 | Registered: Sunday, March 31 2002 08:00 |

Parry isn't useless, its effect is just changed. Now instead of preventing you from being hit its main benefit is reducing the damage you take when you are hit. -------------------- Warning: Posts may contain misspellinks and typo.s Posts: 409 | Registered: Sunday, March 31 2002 08:00 |

I remember once I played some fairly decent rpg called Betrayal at Krondor, which was later made freeware to promote its sequel, which had scattered all over the place chests with various treasure which were locked with riddles which you needed to figure out to open them. I just checked gamefaqs and found a faq listing all of these, and here are what I think are the best of them (far too many to list them all and some don't make sense outside the context of the game). A barrel of rainwater weighs twenty pounds. What must you add to make it weigh fifteen? A box beneath a tree Inside some tasty meat Kept for a month or more It still tastes just as sweet A precious gift this Yet it has no end or beginning And in the middle nothing A strange earthen house That brings nought but disdain And yet those who stay there Never do complain All about the house With his Lady he dances Yet he always works And never romances All across the countryside to front doors he travels But you never invite him in Although my cow is dead I continue to beat her What a racket she makes! An untiring servant it is carrying loads across muddy earth But one thing that cannot be forced is a return to the place of its birth Answers its caller without being asked Responds within seconds and speaks all languages with equal ease Black when bought Red when used Grey when thrown away Bloodless and boneless it travels about Yet it never leaves home Brought to the table Cut and served Never eaten Buckets barrels baskets cans What must you fill with empty hands Flat as a leaf Round as a ring Has two eyes But can't see a thing Four legs in front two behind Its steely armor scratched and dented by rocks and sticks Still it toils as it helps feed the hungry Has a tongue But never talks Has no legs But sometimes walks Has feathers but can't fly Rests on legs but cant walk He got it in the woods and brought it home in his hand because he couldn't find it The more he looked for it the more he felt it When he finally found it he threw it away Holes at the top Holes at the bottom Holes in the middle But still it holds water It can pierce the best armor And make swords crumble with a rub Yet for all its power It can't harm a club It doesnt live within a house Nor does it live without Most will use it when they come in And again when they go out It never was before It is not now Fools wait for it forever Like dogs shouting at the moon Or armor worn by the trees Like a sharply spoken command Or a tiny vessel upon the seas Men seize it from its home tear apart its flesh drink the sweet blood then cast its skin aside The one who made it didnt want it The one who bought it didnt need it The one who used it never saw it This odd thing seems to get wetter The more it dries This sparkling globe can float on water and weighs not more than a feather Yet despite its weight ten giants could never pick it up Though a tasty treat Made in spiral towers Rarely will it be eaten alone Twins on either side of a ridge that smells They shall never see each other directly Two brothers wanted to race a course To see which had the slowest horse Since neither wanted to spur his mare What must they do to make it fair We travel much yet prisoners are And close confined to boot Yet with any horse we will keep pace And always go on foot What is this thing that having it You can no longer give it away But lacking it for the moment at least You can give it to those who must pay Whoever has it is angry Whoever loses it is angrier Whoever wins it has it no more -------------------- Warning: Posts may contain misspellinks and typo.s Posts: 409 | Registered: Sunday, March 31 2002 08:00 |

Well if you are playing DnD, what if they asked to make an intelligence check to see if their character can figure it out? -------------------- Warning: Posts may contain misspellinks and typo.s Posts: 409 | Registered: Sunday, March 31 2002 08:00 |

Well in my case its due to only being rated 4 times total. When I had two votes I noticed it said weighted average 4.4, so I guess first rating was 4, subsequent ones a 5, and now with 4 votes its 4.7, So the first rating is worth 60% of the total when there are only 2 (thats 50% more than the second), but after 4 votes it accounts for 30% of the total. Therefore the ratio of value between the first vote and the next vote decreases as the total votes increases. After figuring that out I realize that whatever the exact formula is, it is way to complicated for me to figure out. -------------------- Warning: Posts may contain misspellinks and typo.s Posts: 409 | Registered: Sunday, March 31 2002 08:00 |

If I'm reading that list right then its impossible to make Ur-Drakons without rebel only trainers. Is that correct? -------------------- Warning: Posts may contain misspellinks and typo.s Posts: 409 | Registered: Sunday, March 31 2002 08:00 |

On the other hand, maybe a lot of the most informed people figure that with the amount of time it takes to vote and the chance of it changing the outcome voting isn't worth it. -------------------- Warning: Posts may contain misspellinks and typo.s Posts: 409 | Registered: Sunday, March 31 2002 08:00 |

Then again I'm not sure if everyone only rates with 5s and ones, cause when I had only 2 votes I had 4 karma, though with the 4th vote it went up to 5. How exactly are votes weighted? -------------------- Warning: Posts may contain misspellinks and typo.s Posts: 409 | Registered: Sunday, March 31 2002 08:00 |
