Comment on ^^ilos's sig - The members of this board do not provide an accurate sample of the entire world's population, and thus the average intelligence of the board and the average intelligence of the world are likely to be different. To compound that, unless you use the median for averaging (as opposed to the mean / mathematical average), there will not always be 50% of the values on each side. IT ALWAYS INEVITABLY LEADS TO DOOOOOOOOOM I know of, um, two released scenarios which were jointly developed. Dragon Within 1 : Ragnarok (was NOT good) and, uh, The Wreck of the Slug (was okay, I think) And something is telling me that there was a third. Oh well. Actually, and you should try it for yourself if you have Blades of Exile, a continent full of Nephilim (who are individually more powerful than humans on the townsperson level) could beat the hell out of anything LESS than waves of Empire Dervishes. There are such a thing as artifacts, more powerful than the items in the Avernum series. :P I mean, there will inevitably be places to get swords of giving with guns anyway, so toning it down to the average Avernum level isn't as important as making sure it doesn't break your scenario.
