There likely will be people who are, but I advise you to, when BoA comes out, work your scenario using "filler" graphics first and then request custom graphics when you're sure it will be completed.

I'm not very good, but I'm getting better and better at editing graphics. I might be able to do it, when the time comes.

I'm busy making PBO graphics (yes, they are crappy, don't believe anything else), but I could make up some time to help you too..

Large pits full of monsters=bad, in most cases. Nobody wants to fight through hordes of bugs. Make dungeons good, and make them fit your plot. Make it interesting.

Does anybody know who drew the graphics for the Nethergate and Avernum terrains and monsters? I think they would probably be the best ones to contact for custom graphics. Personaly I would love it if all the humanoid type monsters (Goblins, Troglos, Ogres, undead, ect) came with sitting graphics as well. A graphic of a Mac or a PC would be realy cool also. (Give them something to work at while they sit!)

Most of the graphs are made by Andrew Hunter, Jeff's trusted freelance artist..

I believe his e-mail is wormious@aol.com or something..

Even worse. There's nothing wrong with putting the bugs there, just don't fill the place up with bugs and have nothing interesting happen.

I'd be glad to create custom graphics for people. I am more experienced with BoE graphics, but I'm sure it ain't that hard to pick up the additional dimension. ;)

Actually, Sir Motrax, the extra dimentions make Avernum graphics several times harder than Exile graphics. Indeed, you have less to worry about detail, but you have to do 8 times the graphics for a single monster if you're doing a chaired graphic, and working off a diagonal directional basis is rather... unpleasant.

Add to that the monsters SEEM smaller than in BoE - thus detail is harder to add. Just my opinion.

Sitting graphics aren't really that hard to do. I don't know why people have so much trouble with them. It takes about ten minutes, tops. That is, if you're using a half-decent graphics program. It's much more difficult if you're using something like MSPaint. Paint Shop works, though.

The actual sitting graphic itself involving the chair is indeed a relatively easily accomplished feat involving a few alterations to the normal neutral non-combat based graphic and the original terrain chair object. These alterations are easily accomplished even in MSPaint. However, with a chaired character, you need a north, west, south, and east facing graphic for the non-combat position, the combat position, the attacking positions, and the seating positions, as well as a four part death animation. If you look at most the chaired graphics that are original to Avernum, these graphics aren't simple mirrors of eachother most of the time as they are in Exile, each one having unique alterations. So, if you intend on making custom graphics in the usual avernum fassion, you're left to draw twenty individual graphics for a single character.

Compared to Exile graphics, it is very safe to say that Avernum Graphics are harder to create.

I'd personally like to see lots of new PC graphics. The default choices for A3 are great, and there are plenty of them, but even more would be even better :D
