(Ahem. No flaming. But try to avoid murdering everything in sight.) "In case all of you didn't hear it, my name is indeed Ablis. Does anyone have any objections to setting up camp here until these two Silvermins return to consciousness and we talk with the man who was travelling with the Imperial forces? We may be stronger for it." Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

The man, lying on his back, seems very annoyed that someone actually attacked him. "Well, that would be hospitality for you. I try to get some information..." With that, the man fades from inside out into green energy, to reappear in the middle of the hordes of Silvermins, wielding two swords of pale green flame. The Silvermins are surprised by his sudden recovery and teleportation, and most are scattered by his attacks, which all seem to be directed to non-vital areas. "...and this..." He lets the swords fall out of his hands, causing them to burn out into nothingness. He charges towards Silverback, who readies his sword with a smirk to counter. Right before he reaches Silverback, he vanishes again, causing the experienced warrior to slash behind him... and cut through another cloud of green energy. The man appears above and now behind him, dealing him a kick to the back of his head quickly followed by a acid-green energy bolt to Silverback's back, causing the elite Silvermin warrior to stagger forward and fall to the ground, writhing in pain. "...is the welcome..." Fading out again to avoid a Silvermin who was charging at his back, he appears behind his charging would-be backstabber and glares at it, causing the ground to raise up in a tiny bump and send the Silvermin skidding to the ground. "...that is accorded to me?" With another flash, he teleports away from the liquid creatures and to the side of the Imperial leader. "They hadn't attacked you yet. Just make sure that you capture..." The man looks out into the re-forming group of Silvermins, pointing out Rohj and Silverback. "...those two, if it comes to it. I will aid you, but I do not want those two or any other humans to be killed." [ Saturday, May 17, 2003 19:02: Message edited by: Imban ] Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

A man sits on a rock near to the scene of the battle, meditating in almost-complete darkness. While he carries no light, the torches carried by the adventurers and the Imperials are more than enough for him to see the approaching conflict clearly. He thinks about this briefly, attempting to ascertain what time period he has been transported to. Sighing, he passes his gaze over the adventurers, Silvermins, and Imperials, briefly contemplating allowing the battle to proceed. Suddenly, his gaze stops on one of the Imperials, and he rises up from the rock. He makes a gesture in the air with his right hand, quickly tracing out a symbol of power. Three gates to the Hells open up between the Silvermins and Imperials, and out step three demons, ready to do battle. Despite being powerful, three demons are not going to be more than a speed bump for two small armies. However, this speed bump affords more than enough time for this man to gesture again, his body becoming almost invisible. He walks forward, watching the skirmish between the demons and the momentarily allied humans and Silvermins. As the last of the demons disintegrate, he dispels his stealth spell, appearing in front of the two groups just as they prepare to attack each other. In the torchlight, one can see that he is wearing a blood-red robe with black symbols of power woven into it. His short black hair seems to be kept in perfect place by an unseen force, and his jet-black eyes glare first at the Silvermins, then at the Imperials. "You will all cease this utter foolishness at once." Confused, the Imperials turn to look at him. "Believe me, I mean you no harm at this moment. I do not wish for this meeting to come to blows." The robed man then turns to the Silvermins and Rohj. "That goes for you, too. Will you agree to a truce for now, whatever you're fighting about?" 1) I don't know what these boards will be like in 5 years... 2) The demodding of Lady J either heralds the return of Misc or of Drakey having fun with the sun. 3) It's very unlikely. 4) Precisely zero. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Um, you needed a username and password (which the window asked for) to view it. So no one except Ghost could do so. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Alorael - YOUR DSL SUXS Unless you have your browser configured to only display a page at all after it's completely loaded, avatars load last and shouldn't be problematic in that way. :P Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Desperance makes topics to advertise itself? If you would be so kind as to point one out, I'd agree... (sidenote : Yes, a lot of us do sig-link to Desp (I would if I did not decide to do away with my signature), and Alec did advertise it to King Micah when he left, but we don't make topics about it.) Actually, 40 pages isn't all that bad - it would still be in the short story range, though. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

An epilogue is generally ineffective unless it has a story to back it up. (or, in other words, no, I do not want to read the epilogue to a story I haven't read, as I will either not understand it or it will confirm my wish to never read it) Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

I'd think it would be, but then I realized that Lady J was demodded from Misc after it was closed for whatever reason. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

um... wow, THAT went off on a tangent. Feel free to PM me if you feel like complaining, but any RP topic that's had over 600 posts that dies should be allowed to remain dead, since it probably died for a reason. Looking at the immediate post history (which I deleted in the name of injustice, but was mostly people trying to sorta take the plot in random directions / OOC chat), the topic was pretty much dead with no hope of revival. While I'm not frowning on there being RPs on Spidweb, it would probably be better for all concerned to start a new one rather than trying to revive a severely dead one.
