Actually, it looks excellent. Nice work, Nemesis. Oh, and about the sparkles... That explains why I never found the Wand. I had just switched the spokes, after taking a beating in that puzzle, and was not up to fighting them, thus losing quickly. Ever since, I've been a little reluctant to go there again. And now I know how Tyranicus feels. Sorry, Niemand and Nemesis. That's not the only thing that affects it, in my opinion. When you have the party go through scenarios, they gain levels at a slow an steady rate. However, you also learn what your party's strengths and weaknesses are, and thus can modify your skills accordingly. Essentially, your party evolves, and can better fight enemies in the future because their evolved skill set balances offense and defense. HLPM parties lack this evolving process, and thus tend to have flaws in their design that make them weaker. Also, standard parties, by the time they hit L60, generally have purchased some skills from a trainer, or used some knowledge brews (extra skill points), and other party-altering stuff that HLPM parties don't initially have access to, and partially never will. -------------------- Scenarios need reviews! Hmm. I'll say you're congratulating me on making such an excellent picture, and Avernum-themed too. On a post related note, it appears that my PPD is still hovering around the 12 mark (currently at 11.79). No wonder I reached 1000 so fast! -------------------- I tried to think of something witty to put here. Needless to say, I failed. Posts: 2686 | Registered: Friday, September 8 2006 07:00 |

This will forever be known as the day that Emperor Tullegolar lost his dignity. It had to happen sometime. :P I decided to Wiki Sailor Moon and the Doom Tree. The Doom Tree fits him and his philosophy pretty well, except for the love part. -------------------- I tried to think of something witty to put here. Needless to say, I failed. Found it. It's in the scenario Exodus. EDIT: Dikiyoba and Nemesis beat me to it. Do either of you know it's general location? I've been through that scenario multiple times, and never found it. EDIT 2: My 'O' key is very happy today. [ Sunday, December 03, 2006 19:41: Message edited by: Nioca ] -------------------- Scenarios need reviews! As far as I know, there's no Crystal Wands in any of the released scenarios. There's one scenario it might be in, though. I'll have to check. EDIT: If you could post a screenshot of it, it would really be helpful. [ Sunday, December 03, 2006 17:11: Message edited by: Nioca ] -------------------- Scenarios need reviews! I'm having a slight balance dilemma with my scenario. I am attempting to make the combat in my scenario challenging, yet not frustrating. I have a L66 party that's run through most scenarios to date, and it appears to be handling the combat okay. However, HLPM parties are getting chewed up (literally and metaphorically) by the fights. I know, HLPM parties are weaker than normal parties, but these guys are getting pwned so badly that I'm starting to wonder if my L66 party is more powerful than a normal party should, or if I somehow manage overpower my parties. Therefore, I have a request. I need some non-HLPM parties that are leveled within the range of 55 to 75. I don't care if they consist of a singleton or a full party, nor do I mind whether they consist entirely of mages or warriors. I just need some parties from an outside source to determine whether the difficulty of my combat is too high, or if it's on-target. A party that was created via HLPM at low levels (5-25) should be okay, so long as they have gone through several scenarios since. You can e-mail them to niocacitadel (AT) hotmail.com (replace the AT with @, no spaces) Thanks again! -------------------- Scenarios need reviews! If you have the name right, then you're looking in the wrong game. Nethergate has Crystal wands, BoA does not. However, if what you're looking for actually goes by something else, then here's a list of what you might be referring to: Wand of Opening (Death at Chapmans)Illusory Rod (Canopy: Manufactured Womb)Morog's Scepter (Za-Khazi Run; an infinite use missile weapon)Other then that, I have no idea what you're seeking. -------------------- Scenarios need reviews! What I'm wondering is why everyone thinks that Tullegolar is a cruel, heartless jerk. Admittedly, he can be cruel sometimes, but heartless? Besides, trees symbolize the peak of Tullegolar's philosophy. They're strong, unwavering, and capable of creating sticks to whack the weak with. So of course he would love trees. -------------------- I tried to think of something witty to put here. Needless to say, I failed. Posts: 2686 | Registered: Friday, September 8 2006 07:00 |

It's just too bad that I can't cast Return Life yet. On a side note, it appears my spell roster consists of A4 spells. I hope this won't cause any conflicts. A4's Divine Retribution was a lot different from the previous Avernums' Divine Retribution. Mainly because A4's DR is very similar to Aura of Flames from Geneforge. -------------------- I tried to think of something witty to put here. Needless to say, I failed. Yay for milestones! A prime example of how topics get derailed. And conversational drift isn't necessarily because the current topic is worn out. It can also be caused by some new fact or opinion entering the thread, in which during the process of discussing it, another new fact or opinion is introduced, so on, so forth. And before you know it, a topic on Drakons and trainers gets turned into a discussion of the Vlish mac. :) [ Saturday, December 02, 2006 19:29: Message edited by: Nioca ] -------------------- I tried to think of something witty to put here.
