Okay, here's what you do, because I can't remember and it seems like you're being lazy: -In each scenario folder, there will be a text file that ends in data.txt. -Open the file, and search for "Crystal Wand" -Repeat until you find it. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. If you have the name right, then you're looking in the wrong game. Nethergate has Crystal wands, BoA does not. However, if what you're looking for actually goes by something else, then here's a list of what you might be referring to: Wand of Opening (Death at Chapmans)Illusory Rod (Canopy: Manufactured Womb)Morog's Scepter (Za-Khazi Run; an infinite use missile weapon)Other then that, I have no idea what you're seeking. -------------------- Scenarios need reviews! As far as I know, there's no Crystal Wands in any of the released scenarios. There's one scenario it might be in, though. I'll have to check. EDIT: If you could post a screenshot of it, it would really be helpful. [ Sunday, December 03, 2006 17:11: Message edited by: Nioca ] -------------------- Scenarios need reviews! That helps. Now that we know it is seriously powerful, it narrows down the search possibilities. It's from Exodus. Dikiyoba could have sworn that Dikiyoba checked that before. Apparently not. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

I believe you're looking for item 447 in Exodus, the Crystal Wand, and if I remember rightly its damage makes even the Adlerauge pale by compairison. The moral of this story is that grep -r is wonderfully arcane looking and useful too! EDIT: The moral continues, to say that grep is slower that Dikiyoba's memory. Oh well. Found it. It's in the scenario Exodus. EDIT: Dikiyoba and Nemesis beat me to it. Do either of you know it's general location? I've been through that scenario multiple times, and never found it. EDIT 2: My 'O' key is very happy today. [ Sunday, December 03, 2006 19:41: Message edited by: Nioca ] -------------------- Scenarios need reviews! AHA! No wonder I couldnt find it...that scenario really got my knickers in a twist cause, as Kel said, I somehow managed to kill scripts and stuff :P Ive finished it, but was avoiding it till I felt like something long and challenging again. -------------------- Aa' menle nauva calen ar' ta hwesta e' ale'quenle, melloneamin. --------------------- Finder of impossible beta testing errors. Originally by Nioca: quote:This is what the hints file has to say about its location: quote:--- Originally by Niemand: quote:Actually, I haven't played much of it yet. :P So the moral is, opening data files and using Ctrl-F is faster than grep. Or else Dikiyoba got a head start. --- Edit: Found location. [ Sunday, December 03, 2006 19:57: Message edited by: Dikiyoba ] Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Yes, if that wasn't clear, here it is again: the Crystal Wand is in Exodus, in Fort Alora (between the Strange Cave and the Peninsula), in the northeast corner, in the tomb. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. That explains why I never found the Wand. I had just switched the spokes, after taking a beating in that puzzle, and was not up to fighting them, thus losing quickly. Ever since, I've been a little reluctant to go there again. And now I know how Tyranicus feels. Sorry, Niemand and Nemesis.
