I try to be as well rounded as possible. I can't go around bashing things without ever having tried them, right? Thus, I have seen Sailor Moon, been to France, and even read the Bible.

This will forever be known as the day that Emperor Tullegolar lost his dignity.

It had to happen sometime. :P

I decided to Wiki Sailor Moon and the Doom Tree. The Doom Tree fits him and his philosophy pretty well, except for the love part.

I tried to think of something witty to put here.

Needless to say, I failed.

I'm never going to look at Tullegolar in quite the same way again. :P

(What? Never mind how I know what it is. This conversation isn't about me.)

There are some things not worth knowing. You have to be careful what you admit to Thuryl.

I don't get it. Is there something wrong with wanting to see everything from my own perspective instead of someone else's? Rather than dismiss something as foolish based on what other people say, or even what the mighty wikipedia says, I like to see everything for myself first.

I think your responses reveal how weak you are. You're all begrudging that I've seen something you haven't, and thus you react critically as a means of making up for it. Sour grapes, anyone?

I don't think it weakens my image at all. After all, I only saw a few episodes of Sailor Moon, spent much more time in Germany than in France, and read the King James version of the Bible... which I stole from a hotel. Plus, I still have a much cooler hat than any of you ever will.

A man walks down the street in that hat, people know he's not afraid of anything.

—Alorael, who respects Egol for trying before bashing. That said, an important part of delegation, an essential skill for all would-be despots, is learning whom to trust. Find the right people for opinions on various topics and you'll waste much less time on, say, Sailor Moon.

Speaking of which, ET, I don't think I've ever seen a picture of you without that hat. Do you just wear it everywhere?

I wanted to wear a Commie hat that looked just like that for my Senior ID picture.
They didn't let me. :(

Of course not.

I didn't dismiss it on what Wikipedia told me, I dismissed it on what it showed me.

Begrudging? Sailor Moon?!? You gotta be kidding me!

Maybe it's just me not being a fan of cartoons, but I don't think many of us begrudge you, or feel like we really missed out on something. Rather, we feel like we missed the bullet.

*Tries to hide nauseated expression* Yes. Very cool.

Fitting for a Swashbuckler, though.

Well, the begrudging over Sailor Moon thing was a joke... but I do sense you now begrudge the hat.

Hmm... maybe...

*Takes another look; nauseated expression returns*

Nope! Definitely not begrudging that hat!

I hope you have a scarf too because that wouldn't do much for your ears or cheeks. Toque, that's what you need.

In that picture the ear flaps are tied up on the top. When they're down, they cover your ears and even the back of your neck. That, plus the fact that I'm a fan of turtlenecks, keeps me quite warm even in the coldest winters. In Soviet Russia, hat wears you.

That black furry hat... it looks like you took one of these:

IMAGE(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/9/99/Kiwahirsuta.jpg/250px-Kiwahirsuta.jpg)

...and glued it to a regular hat after spray-painting it black.

While it's an interesting idea, Ephesos, I don't think it would work since I'm a bit taller than 6 nanometers. By the way, I don't just have the black feather, I have different colors I can switch it with depending on what I'm wearing.

Randomizer, please be less obvious about your jealousy. It's embarrassing.

I didn't even notice that until you mentioned. Now I really want to re-watch them. Such a great show.

Since this photo is from late November, I think it qualifies:

IMAGE(http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b129/armill3/postphillymarathon.jpg)

This photo was taken post-Philly Marathon, my first ever (3:52:45). On the left are friends Amy and Erin; to the right, my friend Adrian and my wife Diane. The bad clothes I'm wearing were from Goodwill, since we were planning on discarding them right before the race started, but since they hadn't disappeared when we got back, we gratefully reclaimed them - it was pretty cold! Even though we're smiling there, we all felt like death. :)

EDIT: Oh, and the new Battlestar Galactica kicks Firefly's rear end. :P

Way to not win a medal like your friends. Even your woman got one. Oh, and nice pajamas.

The medal is under the coat. Way to probably never have run a marathon.

The only slightly winter-type thing around here (partially because it's summer here) is the bigass icebergs a wee bit off the coast.
Yep, super exciting.

I'll have you know I'm quite proud of having never run a marathon. It's bad for your knees, exhausting, and very, very unprofitable. Plus, if everyone gets a medal, there isn't even any prestige to be had. Really, what is there to gain from such a thing at all?
