I always love when people discover these sort of things in the games. :D

Also I remember hearing about some special place that could only be visited if you wore pants in E3. But that was actually in the game wasn't it?

Irnai's assistant nursed his bleeding fingers as he played a dangerous game of wits with a particulary ferocious Messager Bird.

The bird moved and he leaped- with a desperate grab he managed to remove the message from it's holder.

Wincing as he walked into the room where Irnai was writing letters.
"Mistress, we have message and from the seal it's from no-one we have contacted before."

"Hand it over now," Irnai took the proffered letter and read it.

"By the way, what happened to your hand?"

"The bird attacked."

"Then you better put something on it, you're dripping blood everywhere," Irnai then put the letter down "But I do have good news, of course it may not sooth your sore fingers but it is indeed very good."

"A group from North Karnold called the Looters wants to make an alliance against the Dominion. This certainly is an inprovement on the last piece of news," she grimaced "The Nipper had to turn back, the hull was damaged."

--Fralsrik's Location--

Fralsrik was utterly miserable, wading through the filthy water and with no way to get the islands he could see. He then shook himself, no, he wouldn't succumb to those feelings- Mernal was counting on him to be successful.

He scanned the horizon and noticed that the ship he had previously seen was now a lot closer. Cursing his inattentiveness he got out of the water and hid behind a rock on the shore, wrapping his cloak around himself.

The ship land and Fralsrik watched as the humans jumped off, with his keen eyesight he saw that they weren't please at all.

"-ing shoal gas-hull"

"Patch up he-go back-the isles"

"Yeah, can't do-se here"

They were going to the islands? the Nephil thought excitedly. Mentally he thanked his stars that luck seemed to be back on his side.

As the crew started patching up the ship (It was temporary fix-they had to head back to get it fully fixed) Fralsrik stealthly climbed up the other side into the ship.
He snucked around ship picking up odds and ends- a blanket here a piece of salt-cured-meat there. The nephil then headed down to the hold, curled up in a dark corner and hoped that he wasn't discovered or that he got sea-sick.

After what seemed ages the ship started moving again.

Are you going to pick up another faction if you disable the Hunters so you can start again or something?

Actually I'd find it interesting if one of the bigger factions suddenly fell apart. Imagine all the other players quickly trying to snap up land.

--East coast of Valorim--

Two fair sized fishing boats (Called the Nipper raced deceptively fast through waves.
For the past several days they had been sailing much slower as they circumnavigated past Dominion Territory. Now that was past them they sailed more quickly.

Their mission? To contact the towns of Torria, Vila and Execa and to see the situation further north of their own territory.
Both crews were capable sailors but they had also been selected for their ability in fighting. No sense in travelling unprotected.

Each few days, sea-birds carried messages back south full of seemingly innocent messages on the conditions and amount of fish in the area.

A signal in the form of a light flashed from the Holly. The large island was in sight.

--Gorst (A week after last KIL Post)--

The seaside town was being re-fortified. Before the fall of the Empire, they had grown complacent and lazy, letting it's walls crumble and wards drain.

They would not make that mistake again.

So the walls were re-enforced and the priest of Gorst walked about, placing wards against disease on the walls and Mrrsa etched runes of protection against fire on all of the wooden buildings. These charms were simple and unshowy yet had proved effective against fire in other times.

After all of the excitement of the past few weeks. Their little corner of the world (ie Islands) were quieting down again. Yet people were still wary. Stories had somehow filtered through about distant battles and hordes of goblins.

--New Temple--

Kelas had sent Sister Alket back to Gebra in his stead while he and Jamid aquainted with the church, cleaning out the detritus of the centuries.

Before Alket had left all three had studied the books intensely. Many of the rituals were well known to them. Yet they had also found variations that produced very interesting results. A day later they had recieved letter from Mrrsa asking for the books for her own study. Reluctantly they did so, what would a mage need with priest books anyway?

--Gorst--

Currently stationed in Gorst, she studied the books in the former mayor's study. Mrrsa carefully copied out the prayers onto good quality scrolls-for future reference and to prevent damage to the books.

As she carefully did this time consuming process she came across a note left there by Kelas.
Text is un unknown language. Translate?.

Mrrsa stared at the page trying to recall everthing she learnt about any foreign lanaguage. It looked familiar but she couldn't place it. The page remained untranslated.

Then she remembered she might be able to find someone that could.

I am pleased that you offer support against the Dominion and Pirates, although there have been no signs of interest in us so far.
However there may be something that the Guild can be of help with.
Recently several Prayer Books, at least a few centuries old were uncovered on one of the Islands. Most of the text is understandable but there is one passage that remains untranslated by both the priests and myself.
The Dominion may have resources but for obvious reasons they cannot be trusted with this. I have enclosed a copy of the text, perhaps you know of a group that would have some knowledge in this field that would be willing to translate.
