They made 2 sequels, which both sucked. The original rocked though.

You felt heavy because you had just been on a plane several thousand feet above the earth's surface. You did not feel heavy because of the relatively small difference in altitude between Colorado and Georgia.

I wonder if a kid could get addicted to that. If they did, then that is just plain sad.

I have to agree with Drew. Oregon Trail was awesome, and if I wasn't addicted to it when I was younger, I certainly spent many happy hours playing it as a child.

I upgraded to 10.4.10, and the problem still exists. I think it's reasonable to assume that if Apple were going to do something, they would have done so already.

As far as I can tell. It does nothing that can't be done in the editor, but it does make it a little simpler. One click for maximum stats, for example.
What I'm hoping someone can do is make a script that trains the Romans in the spirit circle, but my guess is that will never happen.

If your display is 800x6500 and cannot go higher, you're out of luck. The Geneforge engine (which is used for A4) requires 1024x768.

My above post tells him how to run Doom 3 in Wine. :P

1. According to the Wine Application Database, Audacity runs without any problems whatsoever, but Anvil Studio does not. I know I saw somewhere that somebody had written a Creative Zen driver for Linux, but I can't remember where I saw that now. For both Anvil Studio and your Creative player, you'd probably be better off installing virtualization software, such as Parallels Workstation or VMware Player (which is free), to run a virtual Windows installation. Most DOS games should be fine using DOSBox, and the ones that aren't should work in a virtualized MS-DOS or Windows 9x run in one of the above programs. Games are hit or miss. Many of them will not work correctly, but will have workarounds. The WADB is great for this. Doom 3 apparently has to be copied over from a Windows installation, and a NO-CD patch must be applied before playing it in Wine.

2. Just about all of them. I use Fedora 7, and I find the interface to be very simple and easy to use.

3. VLC Media Player is best known as a video player, but it also plays most audio content, including WMA, MP3, WAV, OGG, and ACC.

Pretty soon, Mac files will no longer be regularly distributed as sit archives. The newest Macs don't even have StuffIt Expander installed. They have some crappy built in thing that only handles zip and rar.

When XP first came out you needed a (then) powerful computer to run it. Vista really doesn't have incredibly steep requirements by today's standards. You don't even need a powerful video card like they say. You won't get transparent window effects without one, but that's not a big deal. But seriously, a PC with 512MB of RAM, a 1GHz CPU, and 20GB of hard drive space is not exactly hard to come by. They had PCs with those specs 5 years ago. :P

Seriously. There are only about two or three people I miss from these boards, and Rosycat is one of them.

Come to think of it, what I miss most about Rosycat is her more entertaining acerbic comments, and we have at least one girl who is holding up the tradition of those.

You realize that Thuryl's just claiming to be pregnant, right?

I think he's referring to Andraste.
