quote:I'm surprised how people always manage to misinterpret the explination for this phenomenon. It reminds me of the "if Hitler did God's will, is he in hell?" question. Yes. That is not to say that what he did wasn't God's will. Whatever anyone does falls along the lines of God's will. But God did not will that Hitler and only Hitler was the one to kill 11 million people. That was done of Hitler's free will. If not him, then someone else would have done it. And that person would be the one suffering his existence away. What the brothers did is the same case, albeit on a much smaller scale. Joseph was going to end up in Egypt no matter what. The brothers, however, were not the ones who were required to make it so. That was their own decision. Jacob's favoritism of Joseph came out of his own free will, although it did pave the way for his brothers' jealosy. In fact, if it weren't for his uncle Laban's trickery there would not be any favoritism. That stemmed from Jacob's love of Rachel more than Leah. Of course, if it weren't for Laban's trickery there would be only two tribes, four maximum. Just another case of everything falling in under God's will. -------------------- ??? ?????? ???? ????? Fortress of Grah-Hoth (rebuilt). Wracking waves of anger spread over the complex. Kzar'rhd was finding it hard to concentrate on the task he had been given, his wights were becoming erratic. It was coming from the uppermost level, where the beginnings of a gigantic scrying pool was being created. They had already pinpointed the location it was meant to scry, the demonic planes. They had yet to scry through it properly, right now it was just a small pond of magically altered water that had a place to go but not able to sent anything through. The end result would be to allow it to affect all of the five senses pass into the Pit. Eventually a portal into and out of Hell. This cult was obviously either insane or had no idea what they were doing. Kzar'rhd had orders though. He was to aid them in their research. The fulfilment of Krahn's side of the agreement. It wouldn't be able to transport people for a year at least, but with the demons at the other end who knew what could happen. Given his wights' instability, he decided to go up to view what was happening himself. What he saw shocked him to say the least. Master Mrundh, Demons! Calm yourself, Kzar'rhd, what exactly is happening? The scrying pool. The location of it's counterpart in the lower planes has been taken over. A demon, powerful, though not a Grah-Hoth. It's angry. Raging about some ruby or other that was stolen from it. Attempt to make peace with it before it can find the other side of the pool. Find out what it is after and if possible ally yourself with them. The aid of the cultists would help, they have some practice with demonology. I will relay this to his grace, the lord Krahn. -------------------- ??? ?????? ???? ????? Posts: 883 | Registered: Wednesday, October 19 2005 07:00 |

Firestorms are not magic. They are explosions of fire created using a magical source. The source has nothing to do with the effect in the same way that the effect of throwing a boulder with magic ignores the source. The Cotra shade is part of a mid-endgame quest. Just avoid getting killed by it and you should be ok. EDIT: Wrong city. The third test is what I must now assume you're talking about. The third test is not northwest of Cotra, it's northeast of fort Dranlon. [ Thursday, April 20, 2006 19:58: Message edited by: radix malorum est cupiditas ] -------------------- ??? ?????? ???? ????? quote:That's a matter of play style. Some people appreciate the fact that the guardian is best at meleeing enemies an beleive that should be his primary focus. Others beleive that creations are the way to go, no matter what. Therefore skill points spent bulking up his intelligence and creation skills (but no more than one should be raised higher than 3) will never be wasted. And then there's those who have a distinct masochistic attitude toward the game and try a missile guardian. On torment. (Yes I'm looking at you, stareye.) They're crazy and their advice should be taken most of all because apparently, if they can win like that they can win with most any setup. :P -------------------- ??? ?????? ???? ?????
