Oh, imagine my delight when I discovered the fearsome Gazer upgrade. I'm not sure if that was in the previous Geneforges, but it's not even called a gazer in G4. If it's safe to reveal, someone else in the know may elaborate upon what it is. Suffice it to say, I got some good mileage out of that lethal critter, and found it highly gratifying to invoke some unholy wrath on my foes with it. Are Fyoras Cute? Not anymore, if you've seen the new graphic. I keep a Cryoa on board for a long time when I use creations in G4. Undead would be much cooler if they were (A) rare, (B) seriously dangerous, when encountered, and (C) typically found singly or in duos perhaps. I would like a chill of terror to creep down my spine when I bump into an undead...being something particularly deadly and hard to kill, or maybe likely to induce terror or confusion even in experienced adventurers. Maybe only physical damage should have the power to destroy the skeletal ones. . You'd have to break them apart with a sword. Methinks Aran caters to the fickle, shuffling masses of spiderweblings with invitations to bread and circuses, then shuts the gates and releases the hounds, er, lions. (Smithers, have that man killed!) Meanwhile, one wonders how much more nothing does it take to add something to nearly nothing? Is less more (more or less?) Do we herein wrestle with the great existential paradox of meaning versus meaninglessness? Who makes meaning here? Or perhaps this is an issue of freedom and responsibility. We are free and responsible to choose what and if we post. Or shall it be seen as a vital issue of isolation and connection? A minute spent here is a minute isolated from live human contact. Or perhaps it really reduces to the paradox of life and death. Do we live to post? Have we already died a death in getting sucked into the web?
