I found this brilliant site on the internet this morning. It is a site that contains all sort of variations on one single shot from a Star wars movie. It's really fun to see, what they have done to the pictures. :)

It's called the Star Wars Photoshopping Project

Hope you like it as much as i did. :)

EDIT: Just in case you haven't noticed, there are 18 pages full of those pictures, you can go to those pages by clicking on the tiny links below the last picture (Pg 1 Pg 2, those links) :)

Bon Jovi isn't pop-metal. It is pop/rock.

Well, i read this article about metal, and that's what it said, so... i thought let's see what other people think about it. I don't really think Bon Jovi earned the title of making metal ;) But that's my opinion...

Nu metal mostly means all the bands that can't be placed under one specific type of metal. There are, i believe about 20 different sorts of metal, things from pop-metal *gags*, things like Bon Jovi, to Death Metal, like Morbid Angel. And mostly new band which oviasly make metal, can't be put in one specific box. That's why they made a giant heap for all those bands, and called it Nu Metal. But it's a shame, cause there are bands in that catagory you can hardly compare... It's a bit stupid, the term Nu Metal, but i can't think of an alternative.

Also, for those of you who say they listen to metal then state bands such as Slipknot or Korn, you are contradicting yourself. The only connection they have with metal is the genre name "Nu Metal" which is just another form of alternative. Even Alternative Metal is in some ways metal, Nu Metal is not. [/QB]
I hate the term Nu Metal. It inncludes Slipknot, KoRn, Linkin Park, System of a Down, Type O Negative and those bands have nothing, or very little in common. I don't know what label they should get, but giving everything new the term Nu Metal, it's just wrong. And some bands can't really be discribed as metal, like Linkin Park, but Slipknot is metal, but not ordinary metal. It has eliments of all sorts of metal, which makes it hard to put in a box. But everyone's free to call it how they like, Nu Metal, Metal, Alternative, rubbish ;) i still believe it's good music.

Guns 'N Roses, well Axl Rose has been saying for at least 4 years or so, that there will be a new studio album of Guns 'N Roses, Chinese Demoncraty or something like that. I don't think it will ever come, cause the good musicians, the real power of guns n roses is gone, they're all in Velvet Revolver now. Not that i would mind if it never comes out... ;)

And the new Stones Album is pretty good, i read a lot of good reviews about it, and what i heard, it's pretty good. But that can be a matter of taste, at least they sold a heck of a lot of them.

About this hole AC/DC - Metallica thing... you can get inspired by a band without making the exact same music, or music that sounds like it. But you can also get inspired about stage performance, album-art, and that sort of things. But they have some simular sounds from time to time.

About AC/DC; Bon Scott is no more. That's why they had to find a new singer, Brian Johnson. But Thunderstruck and Back In Black are from that era, and those are good songs. Of course it's sad Scott died, but complaining about Brian Johnson isn't fair. You wouldn't like it if they had stopped back then. ;)

Same for Metallica after the death of Cliff Burton, which is a sad story. They made some really good music after that, including their most popular album, The Black Album, or selftitled. And after Jason Newsted left, they made some good music as well, with Frantic as one of my favorites.

You don't know how happy i am to see that song! Golden Earring is a Dutch band and one of the few bands that is known worldwide. It's really cool to see that you listen to it. My dad is an enormous fan of them, and he was supprised when he read this.

Really cool man, according to me, you have a brilliant taste of music. Golden Earring, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Led Zep, Nirvana... good stuff ;)

EDIT: Thralni, i think people will think classical music is boring because they know to little about it. If you should search in that musicworld, anyone will find a classical music style he or she likes. And beside that, some people will see it as boring, because they can't dance on it... Matter of taste ofcourse. :)

True, i have cd's of some very unknown but very good bands. And there are a lot of good bands which i'm unaware of that they excist, but seem to make good music. And that's something i like about music, you can find new music over and over again, sometimes good, sometimes bad. it's some sort of a endless search, and i like that :)

In the first place: Happy new year everybody =)

Second of all, i was wondering what your favourite musicians composer or songwriters are. Since a lot of different music is popular on this forum, i was wondering what your favourite type of music is and which artist or composer you think is the best. My (current) favourite music style is metal, and Edward van Halen is one of the best guitar players in the world, and he's my personal favourite :) . As for bands, i like Chimaira, Slipknot, Nickelback, The Darkness,KoRn and many more. So what is your favourite?

I'd love to play Rainmaker on my guitar, it's from Iron Maiden, and Down Again from Chimaira. And i'd love to drum A.D.I.D.A.S. (stands for All Day I Dream About Sex ;) ) from KoRn and Breathe from Nickelback. Those are good songs, it's not the taste that is most wanted on this forum, but mixing culture is never a bad thing :) What i hate to play (for drum) are crappy popsongs. They only have 1 beat, repeated over and over and over and... over. It's so boring... And on my guitar i hate to play crappy popsongs as well... no solos... no interesting chords... just stupid boring chords...

hey people, it's been a loooooooooooooong time since my last post, but who cares? :P I haven't really experimented myself with chemicals, but i've done it a couple of times, and i really enjoyed it :) it's fun to throw six different things together in a little bottle or something and then noticing that it's become green :D and turns red after leaving it in the sun for a while :D (it's just a stupid example, i don't know if it's possible :P ) But it's a way to spend some time, it keeps you of the streets ;)

Why on earth would you want to wish for a polar bear?

Well done chicky! Its beer that you want I guess...

Anyhow, a polar bear can be quite nice from time to time. Espacially when you're cold. I heard its fur is quite nice and soft.

damn, am i dumb or what? i ment BEER instead of a bear, that's really, really stupid. i would rather have beEr then a beAr, cause beEr is goooood :D ...

But don't blame me, i'm just an idiot :D

have a beer, or a bear, whatever you want

And you need wood, so that you can make a fire and toast your freshly caught duck, i mean chicken. And of course, there is now way you can eat a chicken without a good pair of sneakers, so you need those as well. They taste a bit dry, but with a bit of olive oil and some salt, they're quite nice :D
