Yes! Its that big day of the year everybody has...

Birthday! And now its my turn. I just became sixteen. That means just two years before driving my own car. :) :D :)

My presents were a new Trombone (which I got already two months ago) and a CD of Rachmaninov's second Symphony, if anybody cares :)

Happy birthday, Thralni! Sounds like you got good gifts. Now you need to start agitating for a car. It may take a few years of wheedling to get one without paying yourself.

[Edit: Crimes against nature.]

—Alorael, who would post a Rachmaninoff trombone cake if he could find an image of one. Sadly he couldn't even find either a Rachmaninoff cake or a trombone cake.

Happy birthday. Mine is in October, and I'm hoping to get a piano of some sorts. It's unlikely, but so is finding anything in my bedroom, and I manage that...

Anyway, many happy returns.

No, we aren't relatives, we're classmates, ex-classmates, to be precise :( , but we're still friends, and we see each other in the breaks at school. And we both share a weard sense of humor, which can be found of several posts

I hated 16.

Best of luck.

Happy birthday. :)

I don't think there was anything special about my 16th year.

My long slide into the realm of stupidity began around year 16. I'm still trying to pull out of it. Good luck, and enjoy the times before you realize the slide has begun.

Thanks to all for congratulating me!

Its not that I find 16 really interesting or special, its just a new year, full of exspectations, full of frustrations, full of... Ehm... Any oher words ending with -tions?

Wel doesn't matter. Anyhow, I forget to post a cake picture, but that was already done, so I wouldn't today I'll get the festive meal I didn't get yesterday. I didn't have cake, which was said, but I did have a orchestra repetition (a word ending with -tion!) of three hours!!

Wel that's really something I would like to have. God. I hate three hour long repetitions. Bu the trombone was fine, and it already has a scratch. Maybe tomorrow it'll drop by exident from my lap, making a huge dent in the slide.

We'll just se what happens. I'm now going to enjoy my second day as sixteen.

(BTW, Indeed, chicky and I where classmates until a few months ago, but our ruthless school put us in different classes. :( But we both like chickens and have a weird sense of humor. That yopu already noticed (I think)).

I just realized I didn't actually say happy birthday.
Happy Birthday, Thralni!
As I'm not 16 yet, I can't say anything about how it is being 16... ;)

I think the word is recital. Pretty much the same normal meaning, but "repetition" has the connotation of being boring. And it's not usually used in the place of "recital".

I also got a Yamaha Tenor Saxophone for Christmas. Yayness! Except it was a couple Christmas'es ago and I've already pretty much destroyed it. A word of advice from an expert: do not drop your trombone while on parade. It will not endear you to the crowd or your supervisor. Or your peers, for that matter...
