Cutscenes are extremely sexy and visual, but if you want to be boring and descriptive you'll probably want to use either a mix of cutscenes and messages, messages, or actual talking dialog. -------------------- quote: Posts: 1115 | Registered: Sunday, May 15 2005 07:00 |

My god you people are old. The first time I played a computer game was around 1995 when my big brother deigned to let me have a try at whatever he was playing. And isn't an ellipse this: ". . ." ? Rather than this: "..." ? [ Wednesday, September 14, 2005 13:39: Message edited by: Not I ] Posts: 1115 | Registered: Sunday, May 15 2005 07:00 |

quote:I think the word is recital. Pretty much the same normal meaning, but "repetition" has the connotation of being boring. And it's not usually used in the place of "recital". I also got a Yamaha Tenor Saxophone for Christmas. Yayness! Except it was a couple Christmas'es ago and I've already pretty much destroyed it. A word of advice from an expert: do not drop your trombone while on parade. It will not endear you to the crowd or your supervisor. Or your peers, for that matter... You can't join all three sects. Wait, scratch that. You can, just not all at once. And you can join as long as you keep each sect civil and by not decapitating political organizations. High leadership helps convince the three servile leaders to let you in without having you kill someone or do something irreversible. -------------------- quote: Posts: 1115 | Registered: Sunday, May 15 2005 07:00 |

EDIT: Ah, okay. I suggested some solutions which are inappropriate now that I've seen the thread (which you rudely did not link to, thus stalling my attempts to better serve you) I understand the problem completely now that I've seen the thread. I'll notify a mod, and I'm sure he/she'll get right on your case. Just relax. If anyone can fix this problem, it's a mod. You see, it has to do with an ID-10 T33 problem, which I've heard of from some of the other posters. In rare cases, the ISP trackers Spidweb uses to identify you cause your computer to react... badly to Spidweb games. There's really nothing to do except wait for a mod to come around. That or someone who's experienced with computers, as many of the older members are. Well, if you would all just read The Giver... And as for the emotion-inhibiting pills, they're actually for suppressing romantic and sexual desire. Wikipedia concurs, by the way: quote:And the Elders should give the residents a choice when they're old enough to make descisions (and not impair those descisions with propaganda). The choice? Live in utopia, eliminate all pain and suffering, forget everything. The catch is you can't bring all the pain and suffering that makes you real in with you. The other option is to live out in a cold and heartless world, where you have to make choices and take risks. You can succeed, but you can fail miserably and horribly as well. I am willing to kill anyone and anything that is a) trying to kill or seriously injure something else and b) going against my wishes. Some soldier in Iraq? Don't give a crap. Live or die, it doesn't matter. (for both sides) Some robber, shaking down a faceless person? BAMF! Good-bye. A guy who's trying to kill his girlfriend because she tried to kill his entire family? Divine protection for him if I can manage it. If some moron's shooting into a playground and I can't miss, uh... HAVE A NICE LIFE! Oh, sorry. It's over. Good try, though. I can put a price on lives: the life of another. And pinpoint murder is just too enticing to resist, especially with corrupt people all over the place. The only moral dilema I have here is whether "grievious injuries" are good enough to warrant death. Probably so. -------------------- I HAVE LOCATED MY CAPS LOCK KEY AND FEEL YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT! A/E 3. It also points out the irony on the sign. It goes something like CAUTION! SWAMP! (This is about the most useless sign you've ever seen) EDIT: You can find this sign on the coast of the same lake Ghikra's(sp) on. It's a little farther ahead. And in the middle of a swamp, in case you haven't heard.
