38. you can dump all your loot to create a 15 foot wide pile on the floor, yet it all fits nicely in your pockets without a single bulge 39. your left hand is never used, it just kinda hangs limply by your side, withering away 40. When you lie to someone to protect a servile, they can somehow tell (Although they don't tell YOU) and they tell everyone else on the island, although the servile remains perfectly fine. -------------------- "Many minds make quick work of uncertainty" Posts: 36 | Registered: Thursday, March 31 2005 08:00 |

So what is the point then with either? If the woven crystal spool does not do anything, why put it there? If the trapped box that does 2000 points of magic damage has nopthing in it why have it exist? -------------------- "Many minds make quick work of uncertainty" Posts: 36 | Registered: Thursday, March 31 2005 08:00 |

I think that having a drakon canister on harmony would be a little out of place, considering you havn't found a drayk canister yet! -------------------- "Many minds make quick work of uncertainty" Posts: 36 | Registered: Thursday, March 31 2005 08:00 |

Well, even though there are two MAJOR endings, there are differences based on what you do for each of the islands. -------------------- "Many minds make quick work of uncertainty" Posts: 36 | Registered: Thursday, March 31 2005 08:00 |

I am just now playing as a guardian and I am a little freaked out by the guardian graphic on the inventory screen. First of all the helmet looks REALLY dorky, but what I find a little disturbing is the way the chest sticks out; are those lumps breasts or pectoral muscles? who knows? And the way that the belt makes the waist extremely skinny like a corset is a litte strange. Also, the guardian either has very thick thighs (like arnold when he was huge) or, if you want to look at it another way, wide feminine hips. I remember a lot of people complaining about the lack of a female guardain back on the GF2 messge board, but this is not the way to solve it! -------------------- "Many minds make quick work of uncertainty" Posts: 36 | Registered: Thursday, March 31 2005 08:00 |

Really? I can remember in GF2 I loaded up on Sacks of meal and Iron bars until I had OVER 800 POUNDS on my back, and I was still walking around like it was nothing (out of combat mode that is, in combat mode I was encumbered as hell). So far I havn't bothered to get enough heavy stackable stuff to reach 999 pounds, to see if it rolls over to four figues. -------------------- "Many minds make quick work of uncertainty" Posts: 36 | Registered: Thursday, March 31 2005 08:00 |

I know that when you -destroy the geneforge, kill the drakons AND -kill Lord Rahul OR -kill Kyryk The ending is basically that you tell the shapers at the camp your victory, but they are like "We cannot believe that you would murder your own kind" so they execute you and the war drags on. So basically, don't flip-flop at the end! -------------------- "Many minds make quick work of uncertainty" Posts: 36 | Registered: Thursday, March 31 2005 08:00 |

I have noticed this too, I can take my PC and stick it in the corner, then have any of my creatures go into a shop, take all the stuff lying on the floor, and every single time it says "You stole the item without anyone noticing you" even though my creation is in plain view of the shopkeeper! this must be a bug, I checked and GF2 does not have this feature. still kinda nice, though, I can take anything I want, and no one cares! -------------------- "Many minds make quick work of uncertainty" Posts: 36 | Registered: Thursday, March 31 2005 08:00 |

Once you sell the merchants your stuff they immeadiatley take them and sell them on E-bay. :D That is why they never run out of money. Buy things from them and they take your money and put it into their checking account. :D so they never have any money on them As for the whole crafting-for-profit idea, It works with some items, but not all. You can make a good profit by taking a 200-coin artila eye with a 60-coin silver necklace to make a 1200 coin blessed necklace. A 400-coin drayk scale plus a 500-coin platinum ring makes a 2000-coin armour band. Other then that, though, just sell the body parts , for with the wands, rods, and crystals the sum of the parts is greater than the whole. -------------------- "Many minds make quick work of uncertainty" Posts: 36 | Registered: Thursday, March 31 2005 08:00 |

puresteel is much more prevalent in GF2. I think that you could get a full suit of puresteel armour in GF2, but i never tried to, because the magical stat boosting items were much more lucrative. There were also many puresteel rings, I think for one quest you had to find four of them. -------------------- "Many minds make quick work of uncertainty" Posts: 36 | Registered: Thursday, March 31 2005 08:00 |

I remember that in exile 3 you could only leave your extra items in the storeroom in Ft. Emergence, otherwise it would dissapear (Of course, back then you had six characters to spread the weight out, so it wasn't much of a problem) -------------------- "Many minds make quick work of uncertainty" Posts: 36 | Registered: Thursday, March 31 2005 08:00 |

uhh, Trin, i don't think you can have a half point of AP. Also, why is it that your PC doesn't get mercury poisoning from the quicksilver items and gradually go insane? (Oh, wait the canisters already do that, crap) -------------------- "Many minds make quick work of uncertainty" Posts: 36 | Registered: Thursday, March 31 2005 08:00 |

The recipie for the creator's belt is found on greenwood isle. Hawthorne tells you it once you bring him the Wand of the Inferno from the mines. -------------------- "Many minds make quick work of uncertainty" Posts: 36 | Registered: Thursday, March 31 2005 08:00 |

Hmmm... I would have thought that since the blood poison could be found on greenwood Isle, and that the deep focus orb could be gotten from Spharon on Dhonal's Isle, that the creator's belt would be the one people crafted first. ...Or maybe they wanted to save the orb for the Cyrstalline shroud. -------------------- "Many minds make quick work of uncertainty" Posts: 36 | Registered: Thursday, March 31 2005 08:00 |

My strategy to kill them was to use the essence pool to put steel skin, augmentation, and essence armor on all my creations. Then once the golems appeared, I ran out of the room, sent a rabbit by the door, led one golem out, and let the door close. That way I was able to engage them one at a time, and they weren't able to transfer health to each other. -------------------- "Many minds make quick work of uncertainty" Posts: 36 | Registered: Thursday, March 31 2005 08:00 |

I think that one thing missed here is that in GF3 many people DO notice that you are an apprentice. Although on greenwood Isle the people hadn't seen a shaper and assume that you're big and bad, you are called a n00b several times, especially on Dhonal's Isle. When Litalia talks to you on Harmony, she remarkes how much you have improved/gotten stronger. Also keep in mind that your PC's rapid growing in strength is also due to the acquisition of better and better equipment. Having 12 strength and 12 endurance doesn't do much if all you have is chitin armor and a dagger! If I were to give Joe Townsperson a lightning girdle, an essense aegis, an emerald chestguard, and an avenger's ring, it is safe to assume that that townsperson will be able to kick some serious butt. It is logical to assume that better equipment will make the PC stronger, without any consideration to the effects of experience/leveling up. -------------------- "Many minds make quick work of uncertainty" Posts: 36 | Registered: Thursday, March 31 2005 08:00 |

What I like in GF3 is that even though you have only two factions, rebels and loyalists, you have many different opinions within those factions. Before you get to Litalia and the drakons you get the story of lankan and the normal townsfolk, who are disgruntled with the shaper's Ironhanded rule. The serviles on gull were obviously mistreated, which made them understandable in rebelling. When Greta leaves you on Dhonal (If you followed the loyalist path, I have not yet played as a rebel), she simply says that she doesn't believe in the shaper ideals; she doesn't rebel and attack you. With the loyalists you have Khyryk, not exactly the Iron-fisted loyalist that Alwan becomes, and Diwanyia is horrified by your slaughter of the rebels. Consistently you see many people, whether townsfolk or shapers, not agreeing with the shaper orthodoxy, but not reblling out of fear or loyalty. What I would like to see in GF4 would be some sort of reform movement/faction. Instead of having the shapers combat their problems with brutal execution, have some of them respond with parity. That would make a good middle ground viewpoint similar to the awakend. I like how you have to choose which side to help, like on harmony when both sides are moderate, which then affects how the story turns out. As the rebels get more fanatical and the shapers get more brutal, then you have the option of switching sides. -------------------- "Many minds make quick work of uncertainty" Posts: 36 | Registered: Thursday, March 31 2005 08:00 |
