To open these doors, you need to trigger the Sholai attack in the Western Workshop. To do this, get the entry baton and refuse to cooperate with the shade that appears. If you've previously gotten the entry baton somewhere else, you can't open those doors without manually changing SDFs. Unfortunately, the scripts aren't clear on which SDF controls those doors, so you may never be able to get in without starting over. (706) Posts: 726 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

If you haven't killed Agatha or completed the Geneforge, head north from the eastern entrance to Khyryk's Tower to find him. If you have, Khyryk will be elsewhere in the tower; you may need several living tools to explore it thoroughly. You can get the key as a rebel by completing the Kill Khyryk quest, which is given to you by Master Elek in Stonespire. As a loyalist, complete Khyryk's quest to free the Shapers. Finally, you may be able to get into the docks by casting Unlock on the lever near the door; this is a bug, so exercising it may cause other issues later on. The Shaper in Khor's Deeps will be hostile unless you're a rebel and have the key; it will usually be Master Hoge, but will be Mooralas if you've previously killed Master Hoge. The first ivory skull you can get without purchasing or stealing it is in Fort Wilton, the first area on Dhonal's Isle. Others are located in the Infested Mountains, the Darkstone Mine, the Crumbling Lab, and Benerii-Eo Labs. (704) Posts: 726 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

1. Once you've drunk the water in the Ancient Crypt, you can open the door. You can also open the door with level 3 Unlock Doors. 3. The water makes you temporarily enlightened, which helps with some special encounters, such as the one when you're trying to exit the crypt. From looking through the script, it appears that, in addition to giving Fanjul a pro-servile opinion, your opinions as a whole must be below 90. If Fanjul says she's heard of you after giving her a pro-servile opinion, she will train you. Otherwise, the number of pro-servile opinions you must give/previously given is roughly 4, plus one for each pro-shaper opinion you've previously given, plus 3 if you've killed Lankan, and minus 3 if you've given Lankan the canister on Harmony Isle. To find the tunnel, go to the Rebel Peninsula, which is one section north. Immediately after entering from the south, take the path to the west. Stay south while heading west, and you'll come across an entrance to the tunnel. (701) Posts: 726 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

To get the curse, head to the southwest corner and fight the troglodyte encounter; it can be gotten rid of by reaching the building you can get to after defeating the troglodytes. When you get to that building, the curse is automatically removed; aside from doing that or exiting the scenario, there's no mechanism for getting rid of it. The curse was the in-game implementation of the crystal in the building interfering with your ability to fight. (698) Posts: 726 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

For Exile 3, I captured the souls of an Order Mage and a Slith Archmage. A Quickghast may be good to have in some situations; a Crystal Soul may also be useful. It's a bad idea to capture a Doomguard, as any copies of the monster you summon will attack you. (697) Posts: 726 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

Hold down the Shift and D keys simultaneously, and type in the following: sdf 79 4 0. This will make Icy End friendly. (696) [ Saturday, July 30, 2005 19:08: Message edited by: Seletine ] Posts: 726 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

The amount of leadership needed to get every possible benefit is 16 if you're a loyalist and 14 if you're a rebel. Ten will get you through most of the situations which check this skill. This is after equipment bonuses and the Charisma spell if you have it. (695) Posts: 726 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

If I'm reading the scripts correctly, you need to kill that ghost to get the Ghostly Bracelet. It's not easy, and you aren't given that option if you approach it after ending the curse. (692) Posts: 726 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

To rescue the prisoners, find the secondary exit in the southeast corner and then tell them about it. To recover the personal effects, search the different boxes; there are 5 personal effects and 3 prisoners if I remember correctly. The staircase at (57,1) is on the other side of the lava flow. Knowing Firewalk will help you reach it. (691) Posts: 726 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

Get the Entry Baton from the West Workshop and then tell the shade that appears that you won't cooperate. A bunch of Sholai will then appear and attack you; when done, the doors will open at your approach. If you've previously gotten another Entry Baton or you've cooperated with the shade, press the Shift and D keys when you're in the Ice Walls. I've sent the first beta copy out to five testers(VCH, Frayalitz, Archmagi Micael, So Incredibly Sad, and Marx's Martyr); it's bundled as a .sit archive, as I couldn't send it as a .zip file from the Gmail service. Windows users can open it with the free StuffIt Expander program. I don't need any additional testers at this time. (686) Posts: 726 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

My first Blades of Avernum scenario, called Nephilim mystery, is ready for beta. The scenario is set in a remote Empire valley, which has been attacked by a group of unusually strong Nephilim. It's short(1 outdoor section and 4 towns), and is meant for levels around 50 to 70. People interested in beta testing it can post a message in this thread or send me a private message asking to test it. The scenario package is about 215KB unzipped and 36KB zipped.
