Training question. in Geneforge Series

Using books/canisters will count as using one of the points you would have gained from a trainer.

Fortunately you can use books/canisters to gain additional points after training two points with a trainer.

This is not a bug, just a bad feature. If you want maximum points in whatever skill go to the trainers before using books/canisters.

That is not true Salmon. Go back to where this began. I made a joke about nominating my dog and TM responded with a question of bestiality, so I responded with my preference for human males.

Of course the whole thing went right over Ben's head, so he asked about it, so I answered. Now here we are. It is my nature to frolic with males, especially being one of the few females. For playfully frolicing I may be guilty, but not for looking for votes. Take it as you will.

Kel - It does indeed.

Edit: In my defense, note that every post I made was in response to a question, and at no time did ask any questions to provoke a conversation.

If anyone else wants to do it, or take part in it, please do. It's just that the same questions are posted several times, and I keep sending people to older threads.

Ah, but one might read that as "human males only". Or "Human males only."
True, I would have elaborated on the original comment, but I had to go somewhere and didn't want to leave TM's question unknown.

Hmm, making a FAQ/Walkthrough was brought up before. It was potentially going to be a group effort. I think we should put one together, so I can refer everyone to it :P

Edit: Come to think of it, I will put together a FAQ for some of the most common questions. I started school today, so give me a few days.

1. This should be in the Avernum Trilogy or BoA forum.

2. Done before.

No non-human females either. "Human males only" would in itself exclude females altogether.

Edit: Aran, I knew someone would say that ^_____^

You're right :P

I didn't say all human males, but rather that all non-human males are automatically disqualified.

Ben got the VINS FISZ MARK, so additional black marks seems redundant.

Go back to my post about nominating my dog, and read every post after that. See if you can decipher a slightly different meaning to my "Human males only" comment.

Going Rogue? in Geneforge Series

I have not seen creations go rogue in GF3, but I typically make them with two points of intelligence. The few I have left at zero intelligence did not go rogue either, so perhaps that feature was removed.

No, it's just that sometimes he makes the creations and runs away (as he is supposed to), and sometimes he just attacks. It's a glitch, but reloading solves it.

Yes, you can start over from the first pylon. You will know you have gone to them in the correct order when nothing happens when you touch them.

Try reloading the save file a couple times. His reaction to entering combat changes slightly each time (fight or run).

editor scripts*don't* work in Geneforge Series

That is very strange. If the complete script is saved as the correct file name, I don't understand why it's not working for so many people. It would make sense if they were actually editors, but they are just scripts.

Are there any PC users who have gotten them to work properly?
