-X- played through Geneforge with a sole Guardian intent on using no canisters at all. Playing on Torment, he succeeded after a couple of months. . . But he found Glaahks to be all but invincible when there is another creation nearby. So, with the Glaahk and Battle Alpha duos in the Crypts, -X- was slaughtered. -------------------- May the fires of Undeath burn in your soul, and consume it. That was unnecessary. -X- suspects that you just copied it out of the hintbook. And don't say that you were being nice to the people who don't have it, either. The less Spiderweb sells, the longer it takes for new games to come out, and the worse said games are. So stop. Before you set off a chain-reaction. -------------------- May the fires of Undeath burn in your soul, and consume it. Posts: 1636 | Registered: Wednesday, January 5 2005 08:00 |

-X- could have sworn that he fought a fyora named Sear late in the game. . . Somewhere near that one place. . . Caves. . . Pylons and Turrets. . . Lots and lots of sacks and pots. . . Ah well. Yes, but -X- used up all of the mind nutrients in the game by the time he went there. Which was right before he left on the blown-up Avernum boat. The undead are turning in their graves. Did you really think that it was demons who stopped you earlier? It was undead. Liches, in fact. They are coming, Ephesos! In order to stop the newbie from being chased away by the spirits of not-so-helpful members. . . There are pylons. Lots of them. Tons, in fact. There are also these demonic little shaping machines that constantly make Battle Alphas and Glaahks to go and rip you to peices. And then theres the Inner Crypt. There are literally unstoppable platforms that constantly spawn Cryodrayks, Ur-Glaahks, and Battle Betas(Possibly Gammas). Don't even go into the room where the platforms are, unless you have used the Geneforge and have seven Cryodrayks at your unbreakable command. Oh, shoot. -X- just scared away the newbie. -------------------- May the fires of Undeath burn in your soul, and consume it. Posts: 1636 | Registered: Wednesday, January 5 2005 08:00 |

Strange. -X- has played through Chapter 1 at least three times, and once with a luck of 3 - 5, but he has never gotten the thahdskin tunic. Sigh. Where should -X- begin? 1 - This is not relevant. At all. 2 - Nothing is stopping you from going back and retyping the sentence in capitals. 3 - If dermonster13 finds third-person annoying, then just ignore the posts that use third-person. Namely, Dikiyoba's Alarael's, and -X-'s. 4 - Yes, seriously, third-person. What's wrong with it? 5 - You are illiterate. If -X-'s Book hadn't been ripped to peices by his brother, he would give you a "Noob" point. -------------------- May the fires of Undeath burn in your soul, and consume it. -X- does not sell anything. Anything. It is in his nature to stack everything up in a single area of extreme value. Currently, that area is General Alwan's quarters. True, but they have the ability to call more rats out of thin air in wererat form, along with large claws, teeth, and thick skin. They are also more agile and are smaller targets in rat form. And, while Attorosi does hold immense influence among the wererats, along with alleged magical compulsion, as humans they may be mistaken for newbs or other members, and be ignored or welcomed until they strike. Also, the wererats may be secretly plotting rebellion behind Attorosi's back. -------------------- May the fires of Undeath burn in your soul, and consume it. quote:Yes. That comes from pressing the key twice so fast that the second one didn't register. The rats that you see are probably in rat form because those rats were in a combat situation, and their rat forms are more capable of handling it. True, there are no mentions of "werepups" anywhere that -X- has heard of, but that is probably because werewolves were thought of as extremely rare creatures and it would be hard to find two that were remotely close to each other. But it is also possible that the curse doesn't carry on, or because of a mother wolf's instincts to hide and protect her young, or because the children have not developed enough to be recognized as werewolves, or because the curse does not take effect until later in life, or a million other reasons. The legends concerning werewolves do occaisonally conflict, and this section of the debate should probably be dropped here and now. -------------------- May the fires of Undeath burn in your soul, and consume it. -X- fails to see how werewolves cannot reproduce. He has never found any indication of them being sterile, and it seems perfectly logical that two werewolves could reproduce. And, it's really hard to tell what the original form of a wererat is. If they can morph at will, and they aparently can, there really isn't any way to tell what they apear as. -------------------- May the fires of Undeath burn in your soul, and consume it. How are wererats more similar to rats than humans? They appear as normal humans until they morph. Also, there are differing specifics concerning werewolves. Possibly, couldn't werewolves be forced to morph into full wolves during the full moon, and so lose their ability to think for themselves, but when they make the decision to morph, consciously they change to a certain extent of their choosing, and can become rats or wolves to different degrees, like a man-wolf that stands upright? Wow. Huge run-on sentence, there. -------------------- May the fires of Undeath burn in your soul, and consume it. Posts: 1636 | Registered: Wednesday, January 5 2005 08:00 |
