I didn't think of that. I guess it would be similar to Nethergate, cause you'd probably choose a warrior, mage, etc and it differ from the other avernums.

The only problem I have with larger games and better effects is the games take longer to come out. I'd say probably around march for mac, and windows june or july.

I think it should be a matter of choice. Say for example:
You pick a vahnatai character, you start out with fellow vahnatai

You pick a Slith, you start out in a slith fort

You pick a nephil, you start out with nephilim

An if you pick a human, you start out with humans

Thats just my idea, but I think it would be kind of cool.

You know, I'd really like that too. A whole "before avernum" game would be cool. Although im not really sure it would happen, because its avernum4, and that would have made sense for avernum 1.

I agree with this statement as well. The avernum concept is getting pretty watered down. This will be the fifth installment. Now an Avernum 5 would be borderline insane. :)

I admit, it is fun using the editor to be all powerful and godlike. :D
But its also fun to not use the editor for at least 1 game. It gives you a good feeling like you completed the game without using cheats. :) I think the game is fun either way though.

I kinda find it weird that i try and get every spell in the game, but I only use a handful of them. After all, conflargation isn't really useful. It's only good use is probably taking out hordes of low level creatures like goblins.

Hey loser, there is that experience factor where you kill more monsters you get more experience. :)
