I'd also like to see the rest of the Empire lands. Be it 1 Province at a time or all of 'em at once. The vast open surface in Exile III was fun. You could head out in any direction just exploring and find seemingly endless amounts of sidequests and other little things to do(at least during the first play-through of the game). -------------------- Worship the monkey Posts: 20 | Registered: Wednesday, August 18 2004 07:00 |

AV4 isn't bad. Its not the best game in the series though it isn't the worst either. I still miss the ability to pick-up things by ctrl+clicking and the elevation from the earlier Avernum games. Forgetting the plot here, I feel that A3 and BoA were more "complete" and polished then A4 is. I prefered the simplicity of the A3 graphics to A4 because there was alot more variety and such in the models. -------------------- Worship the monkey Posts: 20 | Registered: Wednesday, August 18 2004 07:00 |

Wow I never knew anyone from here played RS, I've been playing for like 2 years now. I'm level 96 now(Pk_Ranger006 - 92 ranged, 86 hp, no really noteworthy tradeskills) If anyone needs any gear I'd be glad to help out. I've got around 80 mil(managed to snag a party hat from a lvl 120 who died a few months ago) so giving away mith, addy even a bit of rune isn't much to me. Just add me, I'm usually on around 5pm est. -------------------- Worship the monkey Posts: 20 | Registered: Wednesday, August 18 2004 07:00 |

quote:Darn. I really didn't like how my Guardian in Geneforge could be owned by a single slow spell. I mean I just had enough AP to run up to the casters and hit them once before they'd retreat a bit. But with slow, every other round I can't even attack if they were right beside me. Nevermind having to chase them around too . -------------------- Worship the monkey Posts: 20 | Registered: Wednesday, August 18 2004 07:00 |

I kinda didn't like Geneforge...the whole combat system felt too weird for me(melee = next to useless) I hope A4 has only the Geneforge style graphics and not stuff like the AP restrictions(can't do anything unless you have enough AP) -------------------- Worship the monkey Posts: 20 | Registered: Wednesday, August 18 2004 07:00 |

Ugh I haven't even played World of warcraft, I just thought it would be an appropriate name. And the only places I really wanted to see are the other Empire provinces not really all the slith and nephil lands and such. I don't see how adding the other provinces would require a real-time 3d engine. It could be done with blades of exile even, but it would just take alot of time to make. I'd like to see something like a "World of Avernum", where you can explore the other provinces questing and solving problems, solving civil wars...the possibilites are endless. I'd also like to see more spells, and more classes like instead of having summoning spells with magic, make a summoner type character. I'd also like to see the ability to create some of your own items like going out getting iron/mith/even adamant ore from some mine then brining it to a smelter then you could be able to make armor and weapons with the iron/mith/adamant. And even better have the ability to enchant weapons with some high level spells like enchant a sword with 2-8 fire damage per hit, or 3-5 ice damage with a chilled effect, etc. -------------------- Worship the monkey Posts: 20 | Registered: Wednesday, August 18 2004 07:00 |

I created a custom item using paint and when I put it into my scenario for some reason the colour of the object is a few tones darker then it was in paint, is their anyway to get my items to keep their original colour? -------------------- Worship the monkey Posts: 20 | Registered: Wednesday, August 18 2004 07:00 |

First, go down to the 4 beam control areas and activate each panel once so that 4 beams fire into the center. Once thats done, you can use the control panel, press Load the Slime Components, then press Refocus beam, and finally hit begin process to win the game. -------------------- Worship the monkey Posts: 20 | Registered: Wednesday, August 18 2004 07:00 |

Gazers/Eyebeasts, they use control foes to confuse my fighters and drain my mage's mana leaving me with a mana-less mage that can't kill squat Edit: If I happen to have an energy elixer on my mage, I'm usually dumbfounded from the dumbfoundation-beams-of-death® so I can't cast spells anyway  [ Sunday, August 22, 2004 00:08: Message edited by: Holymonkey ] -------------------- Worship the monkey Posts: 20 | Registered: Wednesday, August 18 2004 07:00 |

I'm on an old pc(300 mhz, 64 mb ram, windows 98) and the game runs fine for me untill I open the automap which slows down my game. I have turned off special effects to try and speed it up but it makes no difference with my map open. Is their any way to fix this? -------------------- Worship the monkey Posts: 20 | Registered: Wednesday, August 18 2004 07:00 |

I did find a "map" on a wall in a hidden passage with the little arrows in the corners, but it looks like I have them right, yet I can't get into the middle. Edit: I don't think my frustration is that funny...running into endless amounts of invisble shades and guardians while going back and forth between levers isn't fun :( [ Friday, August 20, 2004 00:14: Message edited by: Holymonkey ] -------------------- Worship the monkey Posts: 20 | Registered: Wednesday, August 18 2004 07:00 |

For some reason I can't get into the middle part, I have the top right and bottom left levers down and the top left and bottom right levers up(I double checked this). Do I have to hit the levers in some order or am I missing something??
