Proportedly Realmz OS X will be out by the end of 2007. I found an active yahoo group dealing with the conversion/porthere . It's likely nostalgia but if an OS X version finally gets out I'll pony up for it, especially if the scenario editor is updated as well(again it's supposed to be but who knows).

Divinity? Ugh. Divinity was completely wretched. It had more bugs than the Eastern Gallery, and was just very unintuitive.

A/E3 comes to mind when you can't kill the Dragon babies, lest angering the dragon and not getting your cool two-handed special-effect sword (i forget which one it was)

Way too many lifeforms are carbon-based. Put this in your signature/AIM Profile if you're not.

It's Beastslayer. The sword is not useful in itself and a waste of perfectly good mithril for another AP-giving sword from Carmine. Besides, it's more effective to just run past the babies than it is to stop and freeze them all.

[Edit: Me kill English good!]

—Alorael, who found that was the only point in A3 that he really missed Stealth. Hiding from monsters is not standard Avernum behavior.

If this is true, why don't we have an OS X port of BoE? :P

"Not hard" might still not be easy enough to justify putting effort into it ahead of working on a new game that will generate many orders of magnitude more profit.

Jeff carbonized Avernum 1 and 2 last year. This year he has been upgrading Avernum 4 and BoA to run natively on Intel Macs as well as TWO new games. It's not like he has a lot of free time to go back and work on Exile games.
