Yeah, what do you think it's supposed to do? The description is vague enough that I'm honestly not sure... If you really just need the flash, then just use put_boom_on_char(1000,2,0); -------------------- TM: "I want BoA to grow. Evolve where the food ladder has rungs to be reached." EDIT: Goldenking! Why'd you have to post and mess me up? :P quote:...I would certainly hope the book is better. That was a terrible movie, even without the blatant simultaneous ripoff of Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. Lame dialogue, more lame story, really lame cliffhanger, and what's that? Oh, the dragon's been hiding behind that curtain silently for the entire movie? Okay! (catches breath) But yeah, while some book-movies are cool, it's generally more fun to just read it and use your imagination. Not being sarcastic here, either. quote:Good lord the movie is boring... it's pretty, certainly, but it's so boring. Like ten minutes of dialog in a 2.5 hour movie. BAD. But the books are good, you say? -------------------- TM: "I want BoA to grow. Evolve where the food ladder has rungs to be reached." Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. Okay, something that works better, in my opinion, is just using the Num Lock key. When that's on, you'll be able to use part of your keyboard as if it were the number pad. If it's at all like my iBook, the numbers will translate as such: 7=7 8=8 9=9 u=4 i=5 o=6 j=1 k=2 l=3 Of course, then you have to remember to toggle Num Lock off when you want to do something other than move... 'cause otherwise it ignores any non-number-pad input. Does that make sense? -------------------- TM: "I want BoA to grow. Evolve where the food ladder has rungs to be reached." Actually, I meant the trees from your original post, and then the grass and leaves from the last alternate. But I'd advise some sort of autumn-izing of the bright green grass frill. Green grass is perfectly normal in autumn. -------------------- TM: "I want BoA to grow. Evolve where the food ladder has rungs to be reached." Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. Nope. But with careful wall-building, you really shouldn't ever need the automatic corners. -------------------- TM: "I want BoA to grow. Evolve where the food ladder has rungs to be reached." Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. Posts: 4130 | Registered: Friday, March 26 2004 08:00 |

Yeah, I love this idea. I'm also still willing to run the previously-proposed grab bag contest if there's enough interest. -------------------- TM: "I want BoA to grow. I was a little skeptical when I saw the title of the topic, but you know, the poll was much better than usual. Congrats on making a functional poll, which is really a rare skill around here. As for the actual topic, you know, I still see A4 as the game that Jeff had to make. It wasn't my favorite by any means, and I think it lost a lot of the previous games' atmosphere with the engine change. But I really think it was a consequence of the brand new engine, and to a lesser degree the pressure that the finance side put on the company. So I'm basically excited to see the Avernum series get settled with the new engine. Heights and boats are welcome returns, and I expect that the new point of view will let Jeff's somewhat bitterly funny writing shine. Graphics, well they're less important. I still personally prefer the BoA engine, though that's probably just because I'm a designer. -------------------- TM: "I want BoA to grow. Evolve where the food ladder has rungs to be reached." 1. My dad can brine the heck out of a bird, and it's always amazing. We've had a solid run of really good turkeys, so I'm gonna say 5. 2. Nope. The turkey itself is normally flavorful enough, and when it's not, I bring in the hot sauce. 3. Hopefully. And piles of whipped cream. 4. Why on earth would I do that? 5. ...if you mean stuffing, yes. Otherwise, I think it's cruel to dress it up. I mean, you're already going to eat it, isn't that embarrassing enough? 6. Not that I can think of. -------------------- TM: "I want BoA to grow. Evolve where the food ladder has rungs to be reached." Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice.
