As has been mentioned earlier in this thread, it's worth reading the Cookbook and my articles, as well as BoA's docs, in order to get a handle on how basic tasks are done. The Cookbook in particular describes how to do simple things.

Hey Aran! EndeavorBot has a small bug: that's 88 new members, but only 27 active new members!

By the way, is the overwhelming majority of that post EndeavorBot's signature? Or is there some other bizarre reason why it doesn't quote properly?

Indeed, we might take into account monthly averages since joining. We can say that my posting rate was very low on the spam content, because it's pretty near (or probably below) my monthly average since these stats began being collected. We can say that there's something fishy about Salmon's post total this month, since it's so much higher than his monthly average.

Eighteen is the lowest I've ever been, and my posting rate has remained fairly near the same from month to month.

I tend to hoard magic items (from potions to magic weapons), but this ended up not being very much in A4. In A3, my Hawke's Manse was insanely cluttered with dozens upon dozens of items. In A4, I had perhaps ten or fifteen items that I was keeping around.

Very clear now. :P

(Sorry. I just can't resist poking fun at you non-metric users.)

Even for non-metric users, "stones" is a bit arcane. May as well give one's height in cubits and one's annual income in terms of the purchase price of cows. Measure one's property in square stades. Give one's weight in drachmas. Crash rockets into Mars.

Eh, I take it back about the nephilim. They don't play into the slith homeland story at all, so it doesn't really matter. They evolved, as far as I'm concerned.

As for the sliths, though, there's a very good reason that I want them to have been created by the vahnatai, and the reason is sort of hinted at in Exodus. It will become much more apparent in the third, concluding scenario (if I ever make it).

I just want it noted that Alec said this. I find Alec about as interesting and compelling as I find Bill O'Reilly, but every now and then he comes up with a really zany one that would be hilarious were it not so pathetic, and this is definitely one such.

I don't think Magma's link words, but Wikipedia does in fact have an article explaining it, at Spam (electronic), under the heading "History."

Profanity is actually okay. It's just dodging the auto-censor that is a problem. If you can post it without trickery (or trickeration!), you're in the clear.

"Calamity" is the word. You can find it on an obelisk at (13,38) in the same outdoor section, which is in the far southwest corner of the same section in the maze of passages, behind a secret passage.

And you don't need to find the obelisk, for sure.

Anyone wanting to script in A4/GF should probably get a reasonable feel for BoA scripting first, which is very similar and actually has documentation.

If fatman turns out to be a fat woman, I'll like shim just a little more for the comedy of it all.

Word on the ban length is that it's a medium ban, so something measured in weeks.
