The latest version of BoA should work - I used debug_mode recently, and I'm not running anything special.

Sorry. I've been fairly busy over the last few days. I'm still working on it, and I hope to have the next two scenes up soon.

In other news, it appears that your speculation paid off. Stughalf has made a reappearance on these boards. I'd include him in my script now that he has made a few posts, but if I did that, all the newbs will be clamoring for a part as well.

Stughalf's back? Oh wait - University's finished now...

And who said my "speculation" was mere speculation? (If it was me, I was lying.) They were predictions!!

Thanks everyone.

Saving a few minor modifications, I now have a finished, playable, and hopefully enjoyable scenario. As such, once I've done a few minor things (like fix Salmon's Crystal Cave bug, and make Ivan's sword have a name), I'll be sending the .zip file to SpidWeb.

So, I'd like to offer everyone a very big thank you, and would like to tempt you by giving you a clue for my next scenario...

Righto people. Hopefully, I have the last beta version to send to you.

Points of note:

Jumpin' Salmon - the special rectangle area has been moved, so you shouldn't be trapped - I wasn't when testing with a singleton.

Lurker - The trapped shade and Morley have been beefed up some. It shouldn't be as easy to kill him now. Furthermore, you can't kill Ivan (or you can, but not with a level one party).

And Dikiyoba - the snakes have been fixed, and your typos sorted out.

So:

Here it is!

Reports ASAP please! I'm designing my next scenario, and want to release this thing! Thank you!!

I'll eat my hat if Ecuador win. And film it for you guys.

Spring: Owen isn't all that good. He was awful at Real Madrid, and not much better at Newcastle. He's plagued by injurires, and his goal-scoring record isn't that hot either.

England, though, have no real strikers. Sure, Joe Cole and Lampard and Gerrard may get the occassional goal, but we're leaving Crouch with the burden of hitting the net every game. And that is something I'd rather do without.

Oh, and for people who haven't been able to watch all of the games, maybe we should make a list of teams that made it through to the next round?

I think it's a wonderful reward! How often can a team line up with Brazil, and say that they made it into the last 16 of the World Cup? Ghana were never going to win, but now they might go out to the winners. And enjoy themselves whilst doing it.

Flavor of doughnut: Plain frosting, with apple filling.
Spell circle in Nethergate: Craft was always too useful to be ignored, but Heartshock was my favourite spell... I'll plump for Craft.
Nationality of jumping bean: Doesn't it depend on where it's grown?
Animal to keep as a pet: A kitty. Called "Sparkles".
Goal in life: I have no real goal. I have dreams and ambitions. I too, like Dikiyoba, would like to be a writer, although the publishing bit is less important for me.

Where is it? I'm guessing Fort Orchid, but I don't see where...

I'm gonna hazard a guess, and say I found it. Erm, new version of scenario here: Here

I'm sorry I can't just upload the .tx.t file, but Sitemouse is particularly particular about what is lets you upload.

Ephesos, no worries about the delay - I'm only just about to release v1.0.1, so you didn't really miss the boat.

Right, thanks everyone, for your feedback. I finished fixing the scenario, and so I'll poat a link in a minute. First though, Niemand - hotmail isn't letting me download your file - it says it has a virus. I haven't a clue how to get around this, and so is it possible for you to convert the graphics again?

Okay, so Windows users can get the new version from here:

New Version!!

Erm, reports as soon as possible please?

Thanks to all who got back to me really quickly. All comments have been taken onboard, and I'm gonna edit dialogue and all that jazz later.

Salmon - you might need to reinstall BoA - I didn't get any unhandled exceptions at all.

Oh, and I don't think I'll be able to get round to updating for a couple of days due to family issues, so expect v1.whatever by about Tuesday.

Thanks for your interest people. Email should be coming to the Windows users right about now... (click)

And, as for testers, I think that should just about do it. So sorry if you really wanted to test (heaven knows why), but I don't have need for anyone.

Oh, and I WON'T be using the BoA Testing Centre, so I'm going to be in direct contact with all of you by email. I may throw up a web-page with known bugs (if any or found, I was kinda thorough in my squishing) at some point, but nothing yet.

Anyway, thanks for your replies, guys.

Nikki xx

EDIT: Windows users should have the email now (That's Dikiyoba, Salmon, The Lurker and Niemand). TM and Ephesos can have it as soon as I get the .cmg file.

"Mooney" is still unfit. He can't expect to perform miracles yet. He's just recovering from a broken foot - give the poor boy a chance. That said, his goal-scoring record was never *that* good. He's mostly hype IMO.

Crouch is a liability, but that's a good thing. He's very British (i.e. awful), but there's nothing wrong with that if he scores 6 out of 9 international games...

The boy Owen was awful though. In a bad way. I expect better.

As for Germany/Ecuador, I'm not sure who I'd rather see...

Predictions... The boy Rooney will be allowed to play the last half-an-hour. He will score, and everyone will be estatically happy. Hopefully, he won't break his foot again. Trinidad and Tobago will still be exhausted from their last game to be able to do anything really exciting, but I'm hopeful that they cause a stir.

Surprises so far - Spain actually playing well. Usually these guys are perenial under-achievers. And they sure showed me. 4-0 wasn't it?

Brazil and France aren't playing terrifically either. Hopefully we get a few smaller teams through into the later stages of the tournament.

And if I have to listen to another Scotland joke from the BBC, and, in particular, Gary Linkear, then I am going to squeal.

RE: Germany vs Poland - "the best matched played so far." I'd totally agree with that.

There must be something in the air at SpiderWeb right now - scenario's are being churned out at quite a rate. And I'm here to do my part for the baby boom.

As you probably know, I've been working on a tiny scenario (3 towns, 1 outdoors) for quite some time now, and last night I lay the finishing touches to a beta version. Finally. Which means I need YOU (well, maybe not lord llama or those kinda people) to test for me.

So, regular drill people - candidates (and by this I mean people who want to play the thing) should post their email address, and OS. That's really all I need.

Oh,and testing shouldn't take long at all. I ran through the alpha in no time at all.

So, thank you! And watch this space for further sub-standard scenarii (couldn't resist!) in the future.

Nikki xx

Edit: Oh yeah - my scenario is in Windows format, so if you're a Mac user (and heaven forbid), you'll have to convert graphics yourself. Sorry!

Oh, and I'll probably only need 5 or 6 testers, so once I have that many, I'll send the email out to everyone. I don't want (or need) 57 and a half testers.
