Sorry to double post and all, but editing wouldn't bump this to the top. Since Spidweb don't seem to want to put AGB on it's lists, would it be possible if somebody emailed me a Mac version of the scenario that I could put on my webspace? I've been asked by somebody for one, and can't provide one... if you can do this for me, please email me at nottmforestweloveu (at) yahoo (dot) co (dot) uk since the hotmail one I have is screwy and won't download. Thanks in advance! -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know? Posts: 2864 | Registered: Monday, September 8 2003 07:00 |

Aran, you old ladies man you! --- Okay, my third story... and this is probably the only time I have seriously been embarrassed. As I may or may not have said, I usually have a high threshold for coping with these things, but this time, I did go red. And stayed red for a while too... And it all revolves around the lady mentioned earlier... Okay, so, my wonderful girlfriend (who still brings this up from time to time) and I were in her living room, watching a movie we'd rented. The movie finished, and we bagen talking about how much we loved each other, and what each one would do for the other if we were asked, or had to. Eventually, things turned a little silly, and she said: "Right, wear my tutu, and clean up while I make a drink. My parents'll be back soon too, so hurry up." Not wanting to let her win this little competition, and already thinking of ways of making her do something even more silly, I agreed, and threw on her tutu over my jeans and shirt. For good measure, I also wore her sparkly angel wings, which she'd had since she was five. Coming downstairs, she called in from the kitchen, "Everything's in there. And I ordered chinese too, as a reward for you!" And so, I set to work. Just as I was about to begin hovering, the doorbell chimed; the delivery man had obviusly arrived, which was great, since I was starving. Calling in to me again, the lady said "Get that for me please? I'm broke 'til next week." And, sighing, I did, reaching for my wallet from the cabinet as I made my way to the door. Unlocking the latch, I threw the door open and greeted the delivery man, who, taking one look at me, stepped back a little and widened his eyes. Confused, I held out the money, took the bag, and said thanks, at which he replied, "yeah, no worries, and nice dress." Looking down, I realised I was still in the tutu. I slammed the door shut, lest anybody else saw, and turning around, rested my back on it, eyes closed, praying that nobody else had noticed. Then, I heard a clicking, and opened my eyes to see a camera pointing at my face, and my darling girlfriend smirking broadly, and in fits of silent giggles. The sad thing is, I've never found the photograph either. And I think that I've suitably embarrassed myself now. Time to think of stories about other people! -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know? *Name by Slarty, so blame him if it's filthy... Jewels: Glad it cheered you up. And Nicothodes' is easily the funniest, althought the TM/Stuggie faux pas could take the biscuit. Okay, new story. This one isn't really embarrassing for me, but was for my friend. But first, some context. I know this guy, Webber, thus known because his surname is "Webber" (complex stuff here...). He's bisexual, but hates the fact that people think he is merely homosexual, finding the label very, very repressive. He isn't your typical person, he's funny, witty, and very talented. It was he who got me writing. Anyway, we decided that we were to get a house together, if I don't go to univeristy, since we're such good friends. And so, at every opportunity, I now make wise-cracks about us living together, so that he gets wound up, and tells me to "stop being so gay! People will talk!" Anyway, today, he had a "working" lunch together - he is acting in an adaptation of Faust I wrote. As we left the place, he called in to Boots, a big pharmacy chain, and bought something for his mother. At the checkout, the lady kindly asked "Do you have a clubcard?", and he shook his head, and said he didn't. Seizing the opportunity with both hands, I piped up "We'll have to get one dear." Then, turning to the lady behind the till, "We're moving in together. He doesn't like to say, but we're going to be very happy!" The poor guy went bright red, and the lady looked very bewildered, but kindly said "It's so nice to see young boys living together. I hope you're very happy." Almost dying from suppressed giggles, I turned away, and let Webber explain. He got out of the shop ten minutes later, and simply said "You dolt. She didn't believe me." Hostile 17 is great for clearing up summons, and weakening those pesky mages. And because my mage isn't actually attacking them, they aren't coming for her. Bleesing 4 seems a bit pointless at the minute, but I may need it at higher levels. And I made it into the Lava Oceans, and am about to send the second chumk of my report. -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know? Okay. A couple of tihngs that would have been embarrassing, if I cared what society thought of me. Okay, so, a while ago, I was walking home. My phone rang, but I didn't manage to get into my pocket in time to answer it - we've all had calls like that... Phone rings, you accept the call just as it ends. Anyway, annoyed, I looked at who had just called. It was my girlfriend, but at the time, we weren't together. She'd called from her mobile, but I didn't have much credit, so I called her home number. It rang. And rang. Eventually, someone picked up. "Hello?" she said. "Hey sweetheart. Just thinking about you. What ya been upto? Andmore importantly, what are you wearing?" I answered. "Erm, hey Nikki... err, I think you wanted Joanne, didn't you?" the voice replied. I'd been talking to her mother. luckily, I explained, and all was well. Other things coming soon. -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Control Foes is really good against all of the monsters. And Arcane Shield - I swear by it. never really used it until now, but the invulnerability effect is so useful. The new(...) creatures seem easier in their respective caves than in the outdoors, to me at least. Spell 3 from the Blessing book is my current favourite. -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know? Just a question to other testers - what do you think of the difficulty of combat? The first one, in particular. I got past it, but heck, it's tough. email: nikkisjeffery(at)hotmail(dot)co(dot)uk -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know? 'Ghost in the Shell' is one of my favourite films ever. As is 'The Nightmare before Christmas'. And I don't know if the American release had it, but on the special edition of TNBC, there is a great film called 'Vincent', which is well worth seeing. There was also a Japanese film called 'Howl's Moving Castle', I think. That is also well worth watching. -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? 1) Show Balance 2) Some random number which i can't identify. Maybe the bank. 3) Joanne 4) Webber 5) Jilly 6) Parker 7) Rhys 8) Chantell 9) Top Up Credit And that's all my list shows. I imagine it to be more "Joanne's". And the only reason why so many different names pop-up is because I had to organise a get-together and called numerous people I only occassionally speak to. Oh, and I would kill for Aran's number. -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know? *Name by Slarty, so blame him if it's filthy...
