OOC: I am hoping someone will start continuing my part of the story. I am getting fed up with being the person who has to do it. I'm sure there is a good reason for the lack of posts. It is probably lack of electricity and Internet. Hopefully. Now to continue my leg of the adventure.

IC: Alcove continued on to the holding cell and noticed something strange. She hadn't seen hide or scale of Mancire or Fluffy since she had entered the tower. Where could they be? She put her hands to her head and tried to scan for their signals with no result. That was to be expected. The walls of the castle were extremely thick and she couldn't scan through them very well. All signals would be muffled. She decided that it mustn't be anything serious and went on her way.

She rounded the corner and saw her imp guards still on guard. "Everything all right?" She directed towards them. They nodded back. She told them to open the door and they did as she asked. When it opened, a blast of fire came searing out at her. She had just enough time to dodge the flames when the mage came running out the door. Alcove looked up at her and said, "Oh, no you don't!!!!!!" She got to her feet, chanted and raved some words very quickly and threw a blast of statue spell at her. It caught the mage in the back and she froze in mid-run.

Alcove walked over to her and realized that this mage would need a more powerful spell to bind her to one place. "So, I statue spell doesn't last long on you. Hmmmmm. There has got to be a spell that will last on you until questioning time. Hah!! I know!!!" She ran to her quarters and grabbed her spell book. She ran back to the frozen mage and laughed.

"Ha ha ha ha ha!!! This should keep you in one place for a while. This spell is called a casing spell. It raps the subject up in a casing of webs, sleep clouds, and statue spells." She instructed the imps to take the mage back to the holding cell and they obeyed. When the mage was positioned on her bed, Alcove acted. "Try and escape from this!!!!!"

She started ranting and raving and lifted her hands above her head. Her hands started to glow a green color and then red, then blue, then yellow, and finally orange. Then her hands started projecting electricity between them. She then brought her hands down in front of her and thrust them towards the mage. Electricity and orange light shot from Alcove's hands and struck the mage.

It was a strange sight there on in, even for Alcove. Webs started to cover the mage and wrap her like a mummy. Then an aqua cloud filled the room. Then yellow bursts shot out from Alcove's hands and struck the mage several times. She recognized these as statue spells. Then all of the sudden the room started to glow purple and then magic barriers started to cover all the walls and finally the doorway.

The magic stopped pulsing from her hands, so she put them down, and stared in amazement and surprise. "Hmmmm. I must have missed that part of the spell." She walked over to the pedestal she had placed the book on and looked over the spell. It seemed to end abruptly at the bottom of the page. So, she turned it. "Ah, there's the rest of the spell. Oh, it seems that magic barriers start appearing to totally seal in the subject and then lighting is suppose to flash over them to keep them from breaking."

Alcove looked back at the barriers. There was no lightning. She assumed that she missed part of the chanting and looked at the book again. "Oh, there are the missing words.? She turned her attention towards the barriers and said the necessary words. Blue light and lightning shot from her hands and struck the barriers and lightning began flowing through them like it was their blood. Satisfied, Alcove instructed the imps to continue guarding the mage and she headed back to her quarters.

OOC: Sorry if that is so long. I have no choice but to do that since no one is continuing my part of the story or giving it any detail. This should set the scene for Mancire and Fluffy to appear again.

Hmmmm. Seems to fit me somewhat. I may take the test again and give more honest answers. Something tells me it would come up the same again. I have proven myself to be a royal pain more than once already. Just check out the "Around the Universe in However Long It Takes RP."

I got Time Mage the first time for the other one.

IMAGE(Spiderweb Software Boards What kind of RP sterotype are you_files/demi.jpeg)

I got this the second time. Hmmmmm. I think I will try it one more time.

I came out with Time Mage the second time as well. Hmmmm. That's odd.
--------------------------------------------------

I came out with Royal Pain again. I guess I am one then.

I came out with the Time Mage again the third time. No sense in trying it again. I'm the Time Mage and Royal Pain.

OOC: Sorry, my power was gone for almost the entire day. I'm sure that the situation is worse in every place south of us. So I hope everyone else is all right. I will try to continue my part of the story.

IC: As the imps holding the mage neared the tower, Alcove commanded them to stop. They ceased movement. She flew in front of them and chanted a few words. She then proceeded to stretch her arms out to her sides and then brought them up in a prayer position. She suddenly jutted her hands out forward and a red wave of energy shot forth at the tower.

Each of the fire barriers disappeared and she watched each golem turn around and give her a nod as they moved out of the way. She then spoke to the imps. "Take her inside to the holding cell. And DON'T let her escape!!! Do you understand!!?" The imps nodded to her and took the mage into the tower. Alcove followed behind and entered the tower. She went to Baltazar and told him the news.

"I have captured the mage that Mancire tried to bring to the tower. When would you like to question her, my lord?" Baltazar responded, "In due time. Make sure she cannot escape in any way. I?m going to go take my royal bath. I am tired from the scanning journey and quite frankly, I need to freshen up a bit. When I am finished, we will interrogate her. Go about your business." Alcove thought to herself, ?Finally, he is going to get a bath for once.?

King Baltazar got up to leave for his bath and remembered something. "Alcove, what ever happened to that Delgar person we once had here? I can't remember his job or anything, but I get the feeling that he was important in some way to this kingdom. Something tells me that we will be needed his services, whatever they were. Do you think you can locate him for me?" Alcove gave him a semi-smile.

"Oh, leave it up to me, I will find him someway, somehow. I don't remember where he went or anything much about him, but if I can find him, I will tell him that you require his services and will pay any named fee for them. Is that all, my lord?" ? Yes, that is all. I will return for the interrogation in approximately, two and a half hours." Baltazar continued on towards the royal bathroom. Alcove hurried on to the holding cell to see that the mage would be unable to escape.

OOC: Sorry, Omlette, I might need the services of your character. What was his job again? I need an explanation. I'm sure your character would like to be paid a nice hefty sum for his services. I hope that we her from our Carolina natives soon. Otherwise, my part of the story will be dead for a while.

OOC: Sorry, people. I would have posted sooner, but I was sick again today and too tired to stay awake for very long. Zephyr, your character will be free when I get back to the tower. It won't take too long, considering how far you were from it when you lost the mage. I will capture that mage before she gets too far.

Zephyr, you are rather impatient, and it is becoming impertinence to me. Calm down and wait a little will you. I am being battered up here by 50 mph winds and the house is crowded with relatives. Well, actually two relatives and their two dogs. Our house was made for three people and now there are five with two added pets. Cut me some slack.

IC: Alcove started scanning for the mage. She didn't have to travel far before she picked up a signal. It was off in the distance, maybe a hundred yards. "I knew she couldn't have gotten very far. Not out here." Alcove chanted some words and cast a few stealth spells on herself. She silently made her way towards the signal. When she was within 50 yards of it, she realized it was in the air instead of on the ground. "Oh, so she CAN fly. That's a surprise. Mancire had been wrong all along."

She moved closer to it and soon she could make out a figure in the air. It wore flowing robes of blue and wasn't looking behind it at all. "This may be easier than I thought." Just then, the figure turned around, as if it sensed something coming towards it and saw Alcove. The figure gave a cry of surprise and sent a fireball out at her. Alcove dodged it easily and continued forward.

The mage continued to throw all sorts of spells at Alcove and she dodged every single one of them with amazing skill. Soon Alcove was within fifty feet of the mage and could see that she was becoming desperate. For the first time, Alcove prepared a spell and threw it at the mage. The mage barely had enough time to react and at the same time threw an ice bolt spell at Alcove.

Alcove's slow spell hit the mage and she seemed to weaken considerably. The mage's ice bolt spell caught Alcove off-guard and struck her in the shoulder. "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!" She screamed in pain. "You will pay for that." Alcove chanted a few more words and threw a statue spell at the mage.

The spell caught the mage in the arm and she suddenly froze still. As she began to drop from the sky, Alcove quickly raved a few words and once again, her eyes glowed cobalt blue. She stretched out her index finger at the mage and a yellow beam shot from it. It struck the mage and wrapped around her. The mage ceased dropping and hovered frozen in mid-air.

Alcove used her free hand to cast another spell. She began speaking the familiar ungodly words and made a motion with her arm and hand that looked like she was bringing a fist down on a table. Two imps appeared in front of her. "Take the annoying little mage back to the tower and I will follow you from behind." The imps nodded and flew to the mage. Alcove released the beam and the imps caught the mage as she was released. They then proceeded to take her back to the tower, with Alcove following behind

OOC: We are currently beginning to feel the effects of Hurricane Isabel and I am not too happy about it. I am on my way back to the tower to free you Mancire, so be patient. Sorry if that was rather long, everyone. I needed to make it so that Mancire would stop worrying. I will free him in the next post, or, he can free himself by showing that Alcove and the imps have returned.

Bye.

Is there anyone on this site that lives in Pennsylvania? I am beginning to feel lonely up here. I see people who live in New Mexico, Texas, North Carolina, Maryland, and some other places. But as of yet, no Pennsylvanians.

OOC: I have been getting really confused lately. This RP gets weirder and weirder by the minute. I am losing track of everyone's positions. I keep getting Mancire and Fluffy mixed up. It seems that lately when I tell a certain side of the story, people forget what I have posted and take it on themselves to recreate the scene. I am not naming any names, but you know who you are.

IC: Alcove turned around and looked at Fluffy. How in the hell did you get out of your room?!!! I cast a statue spell on you, summoned mice in your room, and sealed it with a magic barrier. How did you escape from your punishment??!! You have some explaining to do. Plus, you don't need to worry about the rebel base information, Mancire is already in the process of botching it up for us."

She then sensed Mancire approaching the tower. She walked over to the window and looked out. She was nearly knocked off her feet when Mancire suddenly came through the window, carrying a cloth with him. He spoke to her triumphantly as he came through the window. "I have brought you a present. It is a rebel mage and she will tell you where the rebel base is."

Alcove looked down at the empty blanket and then back up at him. "Is this some kind of joke, Mancire? That empty cloth is going to give me the location of the secret rebel encampment?" Mancire looked down at what he was carrying. He no longer had the mage in the blanket. "Oh, NO!!!! She must have fallen out!!! I got to go find her!!!" Alcove cast a statue spell on him before he could leave.

?Oh, no you don?t!!!!! Not again!!! I doubt that you dropped that mage, not with claws like yours. It?s more likely that seeing she was going to end up as prisoner, she took her chances and teleported away. What did you think you could do? Just grab a mage and think that you could get them here without some form of retaliation? Mages can do things that you cannot conceive.?

Mancire now frozen in one place, looked somewhat demoralized. Alcove spoke once again in harsher tones than before. ?I can?t trust you to stay put in your room. You killed my imp guards last time. This time I will put you there and make sure that you can?t get out. I can?t keep you there with a statue spell. It didn?t seem to work on Fluffy when I tried it last time, and he is very similar to you.

There is something about your two species that makes you ?statue spell? resistant. No, this time I will put a fire barrier in place on each window and put demon golems in place as guards in front of them. If you try to escape this tower, they will rip you to shreds. You will be free to roam the tower. You just won?t leave it until I return. I am going to go out to find that mage before she makes it back to the rebel base.

Her power is weaker than mine, I can feel it. So, she couldn?t possibly have teleported as far away as I can. She would have teleported to a safe distance from you and started to make the trek back to the base. Teleportation is not a thing to be used lightly. It depletes a user of much magical energy. Now I am off."

She removed the statue spell from Mancire and quickly flew out the window, chanting all the while. Soon Demon Golems started appearing in all the tower windows. Then she raved a few more words and pointed her hand at the tower. All the windows began sealing themselves up with fire barriers. She turned around and looked at al the land around her. "This is going to be quite a challenge. But can handle it." She flew forward and began scanning the land.

OOC: Very good. Just the way I wanted it.

IC: Schostas suddenly sensed someone was calling him and woke up. He made sure that he made no signs of someone just waking up. He looked over at the barkeep and answered. "Yes? What do you want?" The barkeep continued speaking, "Don't you realize that we have been surrounded by two armies on both sides? We'll be massacred! Are you going to help us with the problem or not?" Schostas now realized the gravity of the situation, but continued not to make any signs of his concern.

"Yes, I will help. What would you like me to do?"

OOC: Someone else’s turn now. Now you have my permission to talk for my character now that he is awake. If my character is sitting still, and is asleep unknowingly to all others, he has the ability to come out of his sleep at will. He can sense if someone is sneaking up on him while he is asleep or if someone is trying to get his attention.

He may not have become a mage like his parents, but he inherited a skill of theirs. He has an aurora or field of magic around him that acts like a proximity alarm. If someone shouts in his direction trying to get his attention or is trying to sneak up on him, the alarm will go off and he will wake up.

OOC: Sorry about that. I meant to post sooner. It does appear that he stayed up all night long, but I will arrange it another way that becomes a surprise. I would prefer you to say, that he doesn't like sleeping in his room. He prefers to sleep right out in the open and since he wears a large hood, you can't tell if he is asleep or not.

He does what I am sometimes able to do, fall asleep in a position that would normally suggest that he is wide-awake. In other words, he looks as if he is still awake reading, but in reality, he is fast asleep and he sleeps this way so that people won't try to sneak up on him. If they can't see that he is asleep, then everyone will assume that he is still awake. He never snores while asleep and this trick is one that he has mastered over time.

IC: Rasil falls down the stairs and makes a god-awful racket that will wake even the soundest of sleepers. Somehow, Schostas manages to stay asleep and appears to just continue reading his book. People come out of their rooms to see what the trouble is.

Rasil just stands there pointing out the windows and staring in shock. People begin walking towards windows and start doing the same things. They all come down the steps, meet in the middle of the room, and begin discussing what to do. Schostas, however, remains asleep, apparently reading his book.

OOC: My character will wake up when someone calls to him or something. I can't be responsible for the discussing of plans. Remember, if one of you calls to my character, don't use his name or insert speech for my character. I want to respond for him. I need him to react in a certain way and someone might ruin that for me. I will post my response as soon as possible. I monitor this site most of the day.

OOC: This RP is beginning to confuse me. I won't be able to talk much when the hurricane hits.

IC: Alcove looks at the bloodstained bag and rage starts to fill her features. "What have you gone and done now?" He takes out the head and explains. "I decided to do something useful and get some information for you about the rebel base. Here, just search his mind for the info you seek." Her rage starts to flash over as she seeks the right way to yell at him.

"You idiot, you wretched idiot!!! You may be the stupidest person I have ever met. What a total numbskull. I can't read thoughts from a dead human being!!!! Are you that dense!!! Now go to your quarters and don't come out until I tell you to!!!!! You may have completely botched things up for us!! You have just given the resistance yet another reason to hunt us down. Now Go!!!!"

Fluffy turned around demoralized and headed towards his quarters. Alcove followed behind him and when he entered his room, she stood in the doorway and spoke with a still angry voice at him. I will have to punish you in some way, and I think I know just how. She muttered a few words and a dozen mice appeared on the floor.

Fluffy shrieked in terror and then she cast a spell on him, which caused him to cease all movement, like he had been stoned by a basilisk. Then she stepped out into the hall and cast a force barrier spell on the doorway. Before the door sealed up, she saw some of the mice crawling up his leg and the look of absolute horror in his eyes. Then it was sealed and she turned around and walks towards the window Mancire had flown out of.

She mumbled and raved a few words and imps appeared once again. "Go!!! Find Mancire before he ruins everything for us! You just better come back with him or you will face my wrath!!!" With that, the imps flew out of the window and into the daylight to find Mancire.

Life is becoming hectic up here. People are doing the same thing here. I have an aunt and uncle who live in a trailer home and are so afraid of the storm that they packed up their things and are moving up to our house for a few days. This is stupidity itself because their house is in a valley and ours is on top of a hill out in the open. When don't have extra room for two more people to sleep plus their dogs. Our house was made for three people only.

I'm not worried about the hurricane much. I am more worried about my aunt and uncle staying over at my house.

OOC: Ok, I'll bite.

IC: Alcove and Baltazar start flying away from the town, when suddenly Alcove receives a mind transmission. She looks all around her, scanning the hills and the plains and sees absolutely nothing. She can't make out the signal, she knows it?s a message to her, but it's too faint to figure out. An image flashes through her mind of a creature, but beyond that, she can't make out what the creature is. The picture is all blurry.

Baltazar seems to sense her distress and stops. He turns around and sees her looking back towards the town. "Alcove, what is it?" She turned to him and says, "It is nothing. I thought I received a mental message from someone off in the direction of town. But, that is impossible. I have never been able to receive messages sent to me. No one has ever sent me a message before. It frightens me. There is some sort of creature on this island I have never seen, but for some reason recognize."

Baltazar spoke softly to her. "I better get you back to the tower as quickly as possible. You seem to be weakening right in front of my eyes." He cast a spell on her and it seemed to strengthen her a little. They continued on to the castle and soon arrived. Baltazar gives her a command on arrival. "You need to go and get some sleep. I will watch Mancire for you. Don't worry about it. You are looking very pale and weak. You need the rest. Go to your quarters and lie down. I will not wake you until you are well rested."

Alcove gives him a small smile and heads off to her quarters. She goes in, locks the door, and collapses on her bed.

OOC: I feel for you there Tommy. You will be receiving the full force of the storm, and I will be receiving the after effects. I hope you survive. It's causing quite a stir in Pennsylvania.

IC: In the dark hours before daylight, Alcove and Baltazar were finishing up their scanning. When they started flying over the dock and the town, Alcove automatically started picking up lots of life forms. But that was to be expected. There were plenty of people living in the town and some of the surrounding area. But, Alcove had the power to read their minds at the same time. She began seeing some mixed images.

"Baltazar, I am getting lots of mixed signals. There are plenty of townspeople, but I am also seeing some new signals that I have never seen before. That can mean only one thing, new arrivals and adventurers." Baltazar got an excited look on his face. "Oh, goodie, fresh meat."

Alcove looked back at him and stared. She rolled her eyes and continued on scanning. As she flew over the mountain, she picked up two stray signals. One was unmistakable, a newcomer. The other was just a trace life from. It appeared to be some sort of life, but didn't give off the signal that it should have. That could only mean one thing, undead. But what were they doing on this island? They prefer to live in the caves and don't like the surface.

"Baltazar, I have detected two more life forms. One of them is a newcomer, and the other....? She looked over at him and said with a surprised tone, "Undead." He stared at her in shock, or maybe just disbelief. "Undead!! Bah! What would undead be doing on the surface?" Alcove returned the remark. "How would I know? I just work for you. Undead are free to wander wherever they want. They can survive in sunlight, they just don't prefer it."

Alcove and Baltazar turn around and head back to the castle. They don't want to be still out when the sun comes up for fear that they might be spotted.

IC: Having lost Mancire a while back, Alcove sensed he was in trouble again. She scanned the skies and sure enough, she detected a life form in the air 100 feet in front of her. Then it abruptly started to fall. "Oh, that Mancire is becoming a nuisance. He is as bad as Fluffy sometimes. I have had it with him for a while!!"

She chanted a few words and pointed her index finger at Mancire. A beam of blue light shot out of her eyes and fixed on Mancire while a yellow beam shot from her hand and struck him in mid-air. The yellow beam wrapped around his body and he froze in mid-air. She chanted and raved a few words and wove her other hand a few times and two imps once again appeared in font of her.

"Take this annoying little wretch back to the castle and put him in a room of his own. Then stay there and guard the entrance. Try to make sure that the room has no windows. If you fail, I will cook you on the spit and feed you to the lizards. Am I understood.?!!" They grumbled a yes in return and flew up to Mancire's motionless body. She stopped concentrating on his body when they reached him. They grabbed his body and flew him back to the castle.

"Now, Baltazar, maybe we can continue on to the fringes of the island. That includes the inhabited areas." Baltazar looked at her and agreed with a nod. They continued on and started flying towards the mountains and the town.

IC: Alcove and Baltazar have left the castle and are currently flying over the land surrounding the castle. After flying for half an hour Alcove still hasn't seen a single life form and Baltazar is getting impatient. "Haven't you seen anything yet!?" Alcove, irritated, responds, "No, oddly enough I haven't seen anything yet. If there are any rebels nearby, they aren't anywhere near the castle."

Just then, she senses something. A trace of a life form. Then many of them leading to and from the castle. "I sense something, but I can't lock in on it. The signal is muffled, as if there were some sort of interference messing with the signal. I can't get a lock. There are only two possibilities for a signal like that. Either there is a very powerful mage around who has cast a cloaking spell, or.... no. That can't be possible. Never mind." Baltazar becomes confused and excited. "That can't be what? Well, come on, speak up!! What is it?"

"Well, the only other possibility is a tunnel, which I can't conceive to be possible. How could there be a tunnel three miles long under the surface. The Rebels don't have resources like that. Unless...? She stops flying for a moment and hovers in mid-air. Baltazar starts getting impatient again. "Unless what?"

Alcove continues with a slight tinge of fear in her voice. "Unless, a mage is doing the digging. There aren't many mages on this island. Let alone, powerful ones. I have only ever known one mage who had the power to do such a thing, but she died six years ago. Her name was Arcadia. I know she can't be alive, because..."

Baltazar's patience began wearing thin. "For god's sake, stop being so mysterious. How do you know she is dead?" Alcove turned around, looked at him, and then looked down at the ground. "I know she's dead, because... I killed her myself in a power struggle."

OOC: Alcove can't be sure that a tunnel is being dug. She is leaning more towards the cloaking spell theory right now, but her suspicions have been aroused. By the way, neither one of them has made it to the town yet and scanned it, so I will get to that later. I'll get to yelling at Fluffy soon.

IC: Looking around, Schostas sees the two at the bar drinking heavily and begins to get bored. "Oh, Barkeep." The barkeep answers. "Yes?" "Bring me some fried mushrooms and some Mogen David wine." "Yes sir. Neris!!!" Neris runs into the room. "Yes?" The barkeep gives an order. "Get the stranger some fried mushrooms and some Mogen David wine." Neris replies, "Yes sir. Coming right up"

She exits the room and Schostas pulls out a book and starts reading it. The title of it is, "The Hound of the Baskervilles." He sits and reads the book while he waits for his order. He stops reading temporarily and thinks to himself. "Dang!!! It's dull in here. I think I will eat and go to bed. Something is bound to happen in the morning."

He continues reading as Neris comes out with his food. "Here you go mister. That'll be 45 gold." Schostas reaches down, pulls a sack out from under his cloak, and pays her the money. Then he puts it back and starts eating.

OOC: Is someone going to play the part of Baltazar or will everyone permit me to do that. It is a challenge, but seeing how my past posts have been in the other RPs, it is one that I can handle.

IC: Baltazar finished reading the message, and looked annoyed. "Those puny mortals, if they think they can defeat me, then they got another thing coming. Alcove, get me my mithral chain mail. From the sound of things, there must be adventurers around. Let's do a quick sweep of the land around the castle. If there is anyone trying to sneak up on us, I want to know about it and retaliate before they know what has hit them."

Alcove obeys and goes to the armor room. She speaks quickly and precisely to the armor dealer, who is seated at his desk. "I need the king's mithral chain mail, now! We are going to survey the lands around the castle. He needs his protection just in case." The armor dealer looks at her in annoyance, but knows he must obey the order. "Very well." He gets up goes to a locked door and pulls out a golden key. He quickly unlocks the door, gets the armor, locks the door, and takes it to the counter. "Here it is. I just got done oiling it yesterday, try not to get it dirty or very damaged, okay."

He gives her a blunt smirk, and goes back to his desk. Alcove takes the armor back to Baltazar and he asks her to put it on him. She does as he wishes and gets absolutely no pleasure out of this whatsoever. It is a service that she hates performing because he constantly hits on her. She doesn't return the advances because along with his craziness, he is known to not bathe very often, so he has an ungodly stench.

She finishes putting the armor on him and they step to the window. Both of them have the power of flight, and soon they both take off out the tower window. While flying away from the castle, he speaks again. "Be a dearie and scan the area for life forms. If you find any let me know." ? Very well," she responds and starts surveying the area.

OOC: Alcove can survey an area with her mind, much like a mage can scry an enemy. Think of it as a magic map spell with a detect life spell intertwined.

*Alcove casts another spell and summons a mouse.*
*Fluffy lets out a shriek of horror and runs away.*

OOC: That was rather good. I liked it.

IC: They reach the throne room door and Alcove opens it. Baltazar sees it open and says, "Come in, come in, my messenger. I hear you have a message for me. What is this all about? I haven't received any messages in a long time."

OOC: Your turn Zephyr, I will not take the part of your character. I don't know what the message contains. It is up to you now.

I'll be back later people. There is a bad storm heading our way. Not to mention that on Friday will are to be hit by Hurricane Isabelle. Though I'm not very worried. I've been through hurricanes before and they don't scare me much. I am more afraid of tornadoes.

Plus I am still sick and recovering. Hope to be back soon.

OOC:

But there are no creatures out on such a night, on that cliff, and so the arrival of Arianne on Siris Island goes unnoticed.
This should be interesting, Arianne is back. IMAGE(biggrin1.gif)

IC: Mancire looked up from his food at Alcove and asked, "What's was that all about?" She replied, "Oh, never mind him. He's just a bit dumb at times and panics about everything. It's a very long story, and I don't care to tell it. Have you been successfully nourished?

Are you strong enough to face Baltazar?" He looked back down at his food and continued eating. "Almost." Alcove became curious. "What brings you here to this tower to see Baltazar?" Mancire finished the last of his food and drank the rest of his drink and answered. "I have a message for King Baltazar."

"A message, huh? Well, let's not keep him waiting any longer." Mancire got up from his seat and Alcove led him off to the throne room.

OOC: I don't mind having my character called Alyssa, but only her parents knew her by that name. No one else. I would appreciate it if you would call her Alcove.

I will start a monster wave after we get a sufficient number of people on the Island of Siris. But that won't be for another page at least, or, 3/4 of the way down this one.

OOC: I'll continue with my character now that at least one person has joined.

Schostas wears ruby-red clothing and steel-toed boots. He has rings on both hands, set with large sapphires. There is a silver necklace around his neck and a medallion attached to it with strange words on it. His hair is Jet black and tied in a ponytail. He is rather handsome, but tries to hide it with the large red hood on his head. It hides all of his features, and it gives him a mysterious appearance.

He doesn't like talking to people much and likes to be left alone. He carries a black great sword that has a blue glow to it. It is enchanted with different spells and lies propped up against the wall next to him. He received it as a gift from his parents before they died and he protects it with his life. He uses throwing stars and a rapier as well.

He carries a pot of poison along with him to add to the throwing stars. Oddly enough, he doesn't look at all menacing and, as a strange note, he gives of the scent of evergreen trees. Women sometimes ask him for a date, but he always waves them away. He likes to be alone, and that's all that's to it.

He also wears drakeskin gloves and has a strange glow around him in when he walks in the dark, and even he doesn't know why.

IC: He notices the stranger's name, but doesn't recognize it all. Or at least he doesn't think he does. It almost sounds familiar, but he can't place it. He waves his hand at the bartender and asks for some Mogen David wine. He drinks it and smiles to himself. He loves this drink and gets it at every opportunity. He thinks of buying the stranger one, but decided that his solitude is better than trying to make friends right now.

OOC: I am dead tired right now and have been sick for a few days. I'll join in again maybe tomorrow.

IC: The imps get close to the creature and it suddenly tries to throw some magic at them but seems to grimace and fall unconscious. They swoop down and catch it. They then fly back to the tower and deliver him to Alcove.

They dump him on the floor and she looks at them with fury in her eyes. "What did you do to him?!!!" One of them responded, "We didn't do anything. He tried to throw a magical spell at us and then blacked out." She calms down. "Well. I have no use for you now. Bye." They look at each other in horror and try to fly back out the window.

Before they can, however, she waves her hands in the air and they disappear in a cloud of fire. "Well, now to get down to business." She turns her attention to the creature on the floor. Then she gasps, now realizing what she is seeing. It's a drake-man. They are not an actual species on their own, but only exist because of the insane experiments done by the Mazarin Cult, which once thrived in Theodus's kingdom, but left when Baltazar took power. Baltazar got his insignia from them, and proudly flies it above his tower.

They were believed to have all been killed years ago, but this creature was recently made. She regains her posture and casts a spell on the creature to wake it up. Feeling pity for the creature, knowing he was once a man, she says in very angelic and kind words "Get up. You have a message I see. You need to be in good condition to see Baltazar." When the creature gets up, she takes him to the tower cook and has him fed.

OOC: Ok, will someone else do something in this RP. There aren't very many people posting. I can't do a whole story myself.

Baltazar the Mad (RP) in General

OOC: This may be very long, but I am syill introducing my character. My character's name is Alyssa Chergrave. She prefers to be called Alcove (Pronounced al-coe-vae), though. Magic is her life. Oddly enough, neither of her parents were mages. She started learning magic from a local witch when she was 6, from whom she took her nickname, Alcove. The witch was very old, unfortunately, and died when Alcove was only 12.

No one ever claimed the witches home as their own, so, each day, Alcove would sneak away from her parents and walk to the hovel and would maintain it. Each day she would study magic from her various tomes and grew slowly in her magic abilities. She always hid it from her parents, and when she was old enough, she moved away and took the witches tomes with her. She moved to Theodus's Kingdom.

When Baltazar took over Theodus's kingdom, Alcove became his mage. She didn't like working for him, but she had no choice. When she started working for him, he placed a power bracelet on her wrist. Should she ever turn against him, all he had to do was activate it and it would kill her. She knew how powerful he was. But she had tricks of her own. She had the knowledge necessary to magically remove it if need be. But, she liked having his protection and a place of her own to live without much fear.

IC: Alcove was mixing a brew for potions when she sensed a presence approaching the tower. She ran to her crystal ball and looked deep into it. She saw a flying creature, but did not recognize it. She had the power to read other people's thoughts, but this creature seemed to have a twisted mind and she could not look into it much. She saw images of mages castings spells on a tied down man, but nothing else. A pain reeked through her head and the mind read was cut off.

She ran to her master. "There is a creature of strange sorts approaching the tower. What are your wishes?" Baltazar replied, "Did he seem to be dangerous to you in your mind reading?" Alcove jeered, "No. But he has a twisted mind. I could not look into it much. He doesn't seem menacing and he has no threatening magic." Baltazar looked skeptical, "Allow him to approach, but send out two imps to intercept him and bring him to me. It's just in case." She replied honorably, "Yes, my lord. It is done."

She went back to her quarters and looked into the crystal ball again. She chanted and raved some ungodly words and struck the crystal ball lightly with her hands. POOOF!!! Two imps appeared at her side and she commanded them, "Go!! Bring the stranger here to me. I will take him to Baltazar myself. Go now!!" She pointed a glowing hand at them and they leapt out of the tower window and slowly flew to the stranger.

OOC: It just occurred to me that I didn't describe her appearance. She is a rather beautiful woman. She has golden, fiery red hair. She wears black robes with golden phoenixes all over them. She wears a golden power bracelet on her wrist and a golden ring around her neck. She has Cobalt blue gloves on her hands and has ruby red-painted drakeskin boot on her feet.

Her demeanor is that or a calm person and normally very kind. But if she is ever in a rage, she can snap and send spells in any direction with glowing blue eyes and quick precise fury. She rarely ever misses and is fast. Very fast. A slow spell can have a profound effect on her, but the effect will only last ten seconds.

She is cloaked in some protective spells, but they deactivate briefly while she is spell casting and aren't used often because of their draining quality. She has other abilities I have not decided yet. They will turn up eventually. She tends to cast spells from a distance, but the distance hinders their effectiveness in no way whatsoever.

She can teleport at any given moment, but can't go more than 100 yards at a time. Her teleportation is primarily used to remove herself from a tight spot. She has the ability to cast charm spells on any creature, but the effects once again last less than a minute.

That should be good enough for now.

IC: Schostas sat in the corner, alone. He preferred it that way. Too many people in the area thought that he was a maniac, always jumping to the dumbest of conclusions and trying to fight anything that disagreed with him.

He wasn't a magic user, though his parents were. He lived in the original kingdom, but when the queen declared two separate kingdoms, then he quickly left for what was at the time, this struggling inn. Soon the inn became a deciding factor in the kingdoms, and Schostas felt he would soon have to move again. He was normal in all but one aspect, if he lost his temper, then all hell would break loose.

He would attack anything that raised a hand against him and for that, everyone thought him a maniac. He had already earned himself a reputation for killing various creatures single-handed in his rage. Including undead and demons of all kinds.

Even though he had no magic power of his own, magical items seemed to adhere to him when he wore them. It was almost a curse. Once he put on a magical item, he had a lot of difficulty removing it. For some unknown reason, cursings and cursed items had no effect on him. He could be slowed, but it didn't have much of an effect.

OOC: Unless someone else joins, I won't develop the character anymore.

OOC: I think I'll be evil in this RP. I can't be Celisto, I will continue her RP some other time. For now, I will be Baltazar's archmage. I have all the basic archmage qualities. I'll stick to the type of spells that can be found in Exile 3. I haven't played any of the other games yet.

My character's background is similar to Celisto's. But, my character didn't choose to leave her evil master and enjoys fighting at his side, despite the fact that he is crazy. She carriers out his every request and has a few hidden qualities that might pop up now and then. I haven't decided on them yet.

You could say that one of her hidden qualities is to make her loyalty to whoever is winning currently. If her master begins to lose, she will exchange her loyalty for him with her loyatly of the winning side. She has no desire to fight to the death, but she loves a good battle. She can summon any creature she wishes, but every time she summons a creature, she begins to weaken like Rentar-Ihrno.

I will continue to develop this character once we have more newcomers for the fight. There are too few just now.

Caught in the spider's web, and hearing the friendly spider speak to him, he started ranting and raving like he was losing his mind. "OH, MY GOD!!!!!! It's hitting on me now!!!!! Help!!! Help!!! Is there anyone there!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I don't want to mate with a spider!!! Help!!!!!" If no one responds to his cries for help, he will have to use his secret weapon of defense, and it won't be a pretty site.
