It's cold for here, but compared to other places, it's positively springlike. It was gloomy and cloudy though, and I have been wearing long pajamas and socks to bed.

How did I know this was going to turn up? :P

Reliable, isn't he? As for me, I like that comic enough that I don't mind post count topics a bit, since I know it will appear.

I was thinking of celebrating when my post count is the same as my birth year, but at my current rate of posting, that will take a really long time. By then, I will probably have lost interest and missed it.

Spectrum, plural spectra, if you want to be rigorous about it.

It's hard to say. I'm in favor of creation rights and as much self-shaping as your body can take before it disintegrates (or you go all crazy, Barzite-style). I guess I'm in between the Takers and the rebellion.

Too...many...marching...band...people. On the other hand, according to my best friend, who was in our high school's marching band, the uniforms can make amusing toy soldier costumes for Halloween.

I would approve of this even more wholeheartedly (if such is possible) if you hadn't chosen the abbreviated form.

I am still recovering from a bad cold, which lingered on, gathering along the way an ear infection and a case of strep throat. The antibiotics were enormous. I also hallucinated. A lot. That might have been fun, had I not been sick.

I keep thinking "sasparilla," which has sort of weird Old-West connotations to it somehow.

I made it up. There's only one place online I don't use it, because I noticed that someone else there had a very similar name already.

It's kind of weird, though, because people are starting to call me my online name in real life, if they talk to me a lot by IM or met me online first.

There were too many races. That became ridiculous very quickly. I do like huge piles of items, though. Especially boots. (I'm a woman, I like shoes.)

Realmz used to look a bit better than some really old versions of Exile, if that's one's main judging criterion. I myself played Realmz on a friend's machine, years and years ago, who proclaimed Exile ugly and refused to play it for that reason. (Hey, I said he was a friend, not a genius.)

The burning question now is what the other reason is.

That was my point, wasn't it?

The Apple logo is no longer rainbow-colored? Wha? Well, the last time I used a Mac was an old Performa in 2001, so it makes sense that I wouldn't know that, or process that I'd seen it, considering I've been using this Windows critter for a while now.

And running around helping relatives with their computers. "What's spyware? Should I be worried about that? Hey, I can't open my Excel files. Can you play games on this thing?" Ah, well, at least they pay me.

Thanks! I always come back eventually, Slarty, even when I say I won't. This time, I actually have a purpose, though.

The Catholic/Protestant angle was one I hadn't thought of. I used to read a newsgroup, though, wherein one of the members had a link to a description of his dual boot Mac/Windows machine, which he called his bisexual computer, although he never specified which OS represented what.

Thanks! I'll have to be very careful, since overzealous pushing led me to shoving the barrel off several times already.

Other than this, I have been enjoying this scenario, Lazarus, although I am a bit disappointed to hear that there are only rocks in there.

Here's the screenshot.

EDIT: final screenshot as my saved game stands now, with moved crates and all, since I screwed up and started the puzzle over.

Remember, you can move diagonally, as can the barrel.

Sadly, other then that, I can't offer any more advice. Could you try posting a screenshot of your problem?

I had to move diagonally to get the barrel out of a couple of tight spots already, but I think I'm having problems getting it to somewhere where I can get it to somewhere else, if that makes sense.

I'll have the screenshot in a bit.

Thanks. The thing is, though, I can get it all except the actual pushing of the barrel into the proper room. I can get it to the room just before that, then I realize that I have it in a place such that I'm out of room to push it anywhere useful. And the solution doesn't help me with that part, alas.

Off to try again, though.

I can't get the barrel into the room with the hole in the floor. I solved the block puzzle, moved the crates out of the way, and pushed the last block into place. Try as I might, though, I can't manage to get the barrel where it needs to go. I finally got tired of it and played a different scenario to the end for a rest. Then I came back to Dilecia, and promptly cornered myself in a dead end with that wretched barrel again. Help!
