I take offense to that. Cirion was not random. I actually quite liked the guy. (For the record, I know that was not aimed at me.)

mine is short for "leaf blower, six bags" i started it on a game a couple years ago after i did some yardwork.

PS. Flamming is a type of stroke on a drum, like a snare drum. it is where one hand taps the drum softly right before the other one hits the drum.

people who are very bad at playing often accidently flamm with the left hand while trying to play 16th notes.

Flam only has one "m". That's just my two cents.

Methinks you failed to get the joke. But you're still really, really flaming. :P

I would approve of this even more wholeheartedly (if such is possible) if you hadn't chosen the abbreviated form.

Not in this context:

In this case, I believe Andra was referring to the drum technique. (Is "technique" the right word?) She is, after all, a percussionist.

You think I don't remember these things, but I do. Kind of creepy, actually.

Anyway. My name. Huh. You know, come to think of it, I really don't recall why I picked this name. Just seemed better than… uhh… the ones I had thought of before it. I'd name them here, but they were just… stupid.

Actually, I was using the name "Cidolfas" for a while (not here), but I decided I didn't like ripping off a FF staple name.

At this point, seeing as someone apparently stole the moniker "Nemesis" from me while I was being a Poon, I will now have to stick with what it is now. Lesson be learned: don't change your moniker. Someone will steal it.

It's possible that you "stole" it from yourself. UBB is wacky like that.

Oh, I got it all right. With ribbons on :P

Also, for the record, the, ummm "person" who described me as a "confused male", well, let the record state that I have never, nor will ever, ahev any time for him.

Let us just hope he chokes on his own certain appendages tonight.

Of course, I also said that the pictures were of "Reg"... But yeah, it's not THAT hard to tell which one I am. :)

LOL! I never gave the name more than a passing glance and always just assumed it was "sasparilla". :D

Funny, I assumed it was an attraction to, uh, people named Sara? But no, that would be Saraphilia.

So what's a sarasa, and why is it so appealing?

That is kinda weird, yes.
Yeah, you can call the flam a technique, but is more appropriately called a stroke.
Okay. I'm done.

In the Wheel of Time books, there was a dance called the sa'sara, which was supposed to be quiet provocative. It still fails to fit, however.

Aran: I was quite surprised too. I might have edited one thing or two, but can't remember. The discussion was longer than I posted, but it got nonsensical eventually, so I picked a good cut-off near the top.

At the beginning of the thread, Muffin stated that it meant he was on fire. "Flamming" does not mean "on fire".

Have you ever seen a flaming muffin flam before? Neither have I, but I'm sure it would be spectacular.
