The repuatation for being profane is deserved, I'll admit, but I'd say it's probably the best place to go for moderately civilized discourse on non-BoE topics. You might think that we're devoted to being vicious and untowardly mean to newbies. We really aren't; we're just as mean to oldbies, although they're more likely to take the joke instead of complaining incessantly. It's consistently fair to mediocre, and it strikes me as ass-backwards that something like it gets featured in Time magazine and the webcomic community gets all excited about an interview with some indie journal. Hell, to extend the analogy, it is to Internet humor in general what Squidi's 'work' is to webcomics. There's much better, but they tend to languish unfairly.
