Athron has important info that you need later to complete a major game-winning quest. If you killed her, then you need to start the game over. That should keep you busy for a while. Killing Motrax is also not recommended. You will want him alive later on, to survive one of the other major quests. You can't take his treasure without making him hostile (well, not without cheating). Edit: If you're truly bored try the Avernum 2 or Avernum 3 demos. A character with no pole skill and average melee skill still does more damage with poles than with swords. Swords suck, basically. -------------------- "I can't read this thread with that image. It is rather difficult to prove non-existence. Edit: At least, empirically. [ Friday, May 25, 2007 09:45: Message edited by: Micawber ] -------------------- "I can't read this thread with that image. Most magazines are cover-dated the month after they come out, for the benefit of newsagents[*] as it makes their shelves look more up to date. For example if your magazine is published 15th May, and says May on the front cover, the newsagent wouldn't want to have it around for the first 14 days of June because customers will think "that was last month's" even though it is technically still current. [*] This is the British term. I realise I have no idea what the American name for a newsagent is. -------------------- "I can't read this thread with that image. Of course it would be quicker if you were a mod and were able to do the linking yourself. Oh, hang on... -------------------- "I can't read this thread with that image. Well they're not strictly comparable, as Adze-Haakai is a single big battle, whilst Sss-Thsss is more a test of stamina. But certainly I always deal with the sliths before the demons, as it helps to have leveled up a bit more (and the slith fights are good for providing xp). -------------------- "I can't read this thread with that image. If you've already killed the Adze-Haakai, you won't have any trouble with Sss-Thsss. -------------------- "I can't read this thread with that image. Changing your screen resolution down to the lowest possible will make the game easier to see. The link is safe it's purely a plain text file and can't hurt your computer. Just to emphasise what Randomizer said: before installing either editor, back up your scripts folder and keep it in a safe place, because you may not like some of what the editor(s) do. -------------------- "I can't read this thread with that image. Edit, moved to reply since Muffin has posted again: Oh I get it, you mean the lines that aren't links at all. They never were links, I don't think you should describe them as broken. A "broken link" is one that doesn't take you where it's supposed to. These ones aren't broken links because they're not links at all. -------------------- "I can't read this thread with that image. Sea Caves are underground north/west of Dillame. One way to reach them is through the trapdoor in the north east corner of Rocky Point. I didn't like not having haste. Money is really not a problem in Exile/Avernum, but the need to waste AP taking potions in combat really hurts. Edit: In fact in practice I would rather fight unhasted, and then everything takes twice as long. A character who directs the plot, you keep reporting back to them and they tell you where to go. Like Anaximander in E3. -------------------- "I can't read this thread with that image. It's flag (100,0). Values over 100 are pro-shaper, values less than 100 are pro-rebel. To get the most pro-shaper/rebel options I think you need to be about 125/75 but check the scripts, like Slarty said. quote:I figured that was how it would go down, but I am pleased to hear you confirm it. I felt joining the Anama added an extra layer of replayability to Exile 3, very good to see it repeated in Avernum 5. Don't make it too easy to play without mage spells though, the player should definitely feel the pinch or else it's a waste of a cool idea. I agree with the other stuff, too.
