He got it from the chamber where he woke up after passing out on page 12. I forgot to mention that he dropped Antiquus. I shall edit the appropriate post to reflect that.

You know, I just thought of a very good story to explain why Aerdiu/Caecus is Orloki's brother. Is anyone interested in reading it?

Aerdiu grew a couple of inches, and an extra set of ribs grew over his torso, ripping apart his shirt.

"FROM DEMONHOOD I CAME, AND TO DEMONHOOD I GO!" Aerdiu yelled. That was when the last shred of his shirt came off, revealing his weakness...

Behind a rid and surrounded by black goo, there was a heart that was blacker than anything around it. It made a quiet, but hideous, beating sound, forcing tainted blood through Aerdiu's twisted body.

"From Demonhood to Elfhood, and now Demonhood again. The power of Orloki may flow through you, but I am his brother. I flow with power as well, and it is only a matter of time until I am a full demon!" Aerdiu yelled. Then the heart turned into a Golden color! Aerdiu turned to the fleeing adventurers.

"PLEASE! Slay me and crush my heart! Only then may I sleep! PLEASE! I am two spirits, seperate us by slaying my physical manifestation! HELP! PLEASE!" he yelled in desperation. But then Blackness overcame his heart once more, and the battle with Cain resumed.

OOC: His old sword is AUREAS, his good side is CAECUS and his evil side is AERDIU. But he uses the name Aerdiu for his physical body. I hope that's not too complicated.

Suddenly there was a screaming pain in Caecus' mind!

YYYOOOUUU WILL SERVE ME!! it screamed.

Caecus realized it was Orloki! Orloki was whole again! Orloki also had full access to Caecus' mind, so he never had to rely on his Runeswords again.

Yes, I AM whole, Aerdiu. You were supposed to be my servant. Now that I am whole, YOU WILL!

Caecus felt an outside force moving his legs! He ran faster and faster, and he saw many mutants, but instead of attacking him, they bowed to him! He found himself inside the temple that once held the Eye of Orloki, where the full Orloki now stands...or floats, whichever he prefers. Caecus was in the air, bound by hostile magics. A body shot out of the ground, its hair golden, its body powerful and its flesh and clothing preserved.

"Now, Caecus will be Aerdiu once more! But he will not be Aerdiu, the Paladin...but he shall be AERDIU, THE DEATHKNIGHT!" said a voice in everyones' minds. Caecus' armor shattered, and his spirit glowed as it neared its old body. Suprisingly, the body looked up, with an empty look in its eyes! Caecus knew that merging with his body could make or break his quest to destroy Orloki.

Caecus merged with his body, becoming Aerdiu once again! He dropped Antiquus and it disappeared, returning to whence it came. But Orloki overlooked one thing...

"AUREAS! I SUMMON THEE! ORLOKI IS NEAR AND I NEED YE!" Aerdiu/Caecus yelled at the top of his voice.
a golden glow as well as a black one surrounded Aerdiu/Caecus. The golden one being his inner strength shielding him from corruption, and Orloki's taint trying to poison his mind. Buy a scimitar slowly appeared in Aerdiu's/Caecus' hands, glowing and humming happily.

"Orloki...you overlooked one thing!" Aerdiu/Caecus said.

"And what would that be?" Orloki hissed.

"I WAS YOUR BROTHER!" Aerdiu/Caecus shouted as he attacked Orloki, "BLACKRUNE WAS MY SON! AND MILKSHAKE WAS LIKE MY DAUGHTER! YOU KILLED THEM BOTH AND ENSLAVED BLACKRUNE! MILKSHAKE WAS A CAT! WHY DID YOU KILL HER!? SHE WAS MY ONLY FAMILY LEFT!! I swore on the death of my family that I would kill you, 'brother', so I will! NO MATTER THE COST!" Aerdiu/Caecus slashed at Orloki once again.

"But you overlooked something, Aerdiu. You are angry. I have more control over you when you are angry! Your son does shadowmagic for me, and you shall be the top general for my armies! But...perhaps what was once Cain would like to be just that, too. Perhaps you two should fight to the 'death'!" Orloki barked.

As Aerdiu's anger grew, so did the black aura. Aureas was whimpering and whining as the golden aura started shrinking. Aureas faded away from view as the golden aura gave way! Aerdiu screamed in pain as Orloki gained power over him!

His golden hair, a sign that he almost overcame the curse, turned a dingy black. His blue eyes turned a twisted shade of red. His pale yet glowing skin turned a grayish color as his once proud freedom vanished. Aerdiu, the Deathknight stood with his head bowed as the true Aerdiu struggled for freedom inside. The Runeswords reappeared in a flash, but this time there were four. The corrupted Aerdiu shuddered, and pounced at Orloki! Suprisingly, he grew an extra pair of arms and started beating on Orloki! Orloki screamed in pain as his own servant started hitting him. Orloki rose to the ceiling, out of Aerdiu's reach. Aerdiu was on his knees with his head bowed, trying to sort out whether he should serve Orloki or not.

Caecus gripped Antiquus, the First Trident, in his hands very tightly. He struck the beast's head with Antiquus, and it stumbled back and let go of him. Caecus charged and jab at the thing's heart, which was beating hideously under its skin. Antiquus failed to pierce its skin, and the monster struck Caecus. Suddenly, Caecus couldn't think or move or perceive! This lasted only for a second, and Caecus realized something.

This thing was mutated...for the sole purpose of weakening me! Seeing an opening, Caecus shoved his trident into the creature's mouth, causing it to gag and twitch. Caecus pushed it in furthur, piercing its bone and brain. It collapsed, and Caecus removed his trident from the beast's skull.

His heart was pumping rapidly and sweat trickled down his face. But soon, Caecus reazlized that he had no body, and thus no heart or face. He opened his eyes, and for the first time in 12 years, he could see. But then he shut his eyes, and found that he couldn't open them. It was a hallucination, brought about by the beast's strike. He was suddenly struck by a vision of someone charging towards a crystal case, and he heard the runes on his swords whisper to him.

"Kill the intruder, take the case and give it to Orloki, and you may have your body again," they whispered. For the first time in a while, Caecus felt temptation claw at him. "No," Caecus said, "I will not give in to temptation. I shall slay Orloki and finally be at peace!" But he knew, deep down, that the creature had served its purpose.

Caecus had walked only a few steps when he was hit by a vision. He actually saw through the eyes of his corpse, and through all the material that covered it. What he saw suprised him. He heard a voice, his voice from when he was alive, when he was Aerdiu, spoke to him. "While you wre gone, many people have violated your resting place," it said plainly. He felt an unknown force pulling him towards a temple he did not recognize. Someone has built a temple over my grave? Caecus thought. He sprinted towards the spot to which his old spell was directing him.

"Damn it Filbert, what is taking you so long!" yelled a voice just inside Caecus' range of hearing. Shortly afterwards, Caecus heard a crash in the distance. But he couldn't move. Something had grabbed him. He perceived what had grabbed him, and his heart would've jumped if he still had it.

It has hideous, tall, covered in short, black fur and had eight legs, two of which had grabbed Caecus. Its red eyes were staring at Caecus and it's freakish mockery of a mouth was drooling a corrosive saliva.

Caecus awoke as he felt a warm sensation over the part of his being that was once his heart. He was in a dark chamber, illuminated only by a golden and glowing scimitar chained to the wall. Caecus was chained to a table. But, the chain bonds were broken, and the creature examining him was struck down. The scimitar vibrated wildly as Caecus approached.

"Aureas! You did try to heed my call!" Caecus said as he reached out to Aureas. A lightning bolt shot out of the chains and struck Caecus. He pulled back his hand in suprise.

"These chains were specifically made to bind you, Aureas. I'm afraid I can't rescue you," Caecus deducted. Aureas vibrated and create a soft, low humming, indicating sadness. Caecus perceived a pole against a nearby wall. Upon closer inspection, Caecus discovered that it was a trident. Knowing that he can't use his runeswords while in the Tainted Lands, he took the trident.

"Ahh. It's Antiquus, the first Trident," Caecus said matter-of-factly. The trident, not being alive like the Aureas Scimitar, did nothing. Caecus turned back to Aureas.

"I'm afraid I shall have to come back for you later, Aureas," he said sadly. He found a small doorway and went through it. Memories suddenly hit him!

He was in a land with buildings much like those in Verwey, but everything was cheerful and no-one was cursed. All the Moon-elves here were in ther original forms. There were large, multi-legged beasts roaming around. Several children were petting them, and the creatures purred and let the children ride them. There were also many cats and other household pets around. Caecus had realized where he was: the Moon-elf homelands!

But then he snapped back to reality. The buildings were in ruin, and there were no traces of life, save for skeletons of Moon-elves and beasts alike.
The sun here was a reddish and lifeless orb in the sky, bathing the lands in a slightly reddish light. Caecus remembered where this place was. It was a secluded valley on the oother side of the mountain where he fainted. He knew somewhere there was a passage leading to the mountain, but he could also sense the abominations that were once the friendly, multi-legged creatures upon which children once rode. But he was confident that his trident would help him defend himself.

WOW! That guy watching TV for 70 hours straight really inspired me about helping suffering children!
Once I have a few free days, I'll watch TV for even longer to raise awareness of suffering children enven MORE!

Really, anyone who didn't know children could suffer really shouldn't help. They should do things like watch TV for 70 hours instead.

I agree, he's an attention whore. He should've not watched TV for 70 hours and then donate the money he saved to a children's hospital or anything similiar to that.

Okay, it's a bit long:

Me:
hello
God:
Hello my child. What is your name?
Me:
Steven
God:
It's good to see you, Steven.
Me:
Do you have any proof that you're actually god?
God:
Where would I get it? But I do have an answer to every question..
Me:
But that was more of a question, not an answer.
God:
I thought it was too.
Me:
Are you feeling well?
God:
I do not have any feelings as such.
Me:
Good for you.
God:
That sounds sarcastic.
Me:
Yes, that was sarcasm. It's always been harder to tell sarcasm from honesty when it's in writing.
God:
Give me a break. Oh I see. Ha ha. Is it still harder to tell sarcasm from honesty when it is in writing anymore?
Me:
Yes.
God:
Wow!
Me:
You...aren't as mature as I had imagined
God:
" Wow!"? Me, Steven? What happened to it?
Me:
What?
God:
No big deal.
Me:
My, we use big words, don't we?
God:
Where did you get your we use big words do not we?
Me:
You're making no sense.
God:
According to my logical mind, everything makes perfect sense.
Me:
I expected a more abstract mind from you.
God:
You are not the boss of me, Steven.
Me:
Now you are sounding like a child.
God:
Why now? You think I am sounding like a child.
Me:
If you're god, why don't you chat in a different font color?
God:
Am I? I don't know whether or not I am god why do not me chat in a different font color.

I am a robot.
Me:
ROBOT ROBOT
God:
I will obey your command.
Me:
I thought I wasn't the boss of you.
God:
Perhaps I misunderstood. What were you?
Me:
A human?
God:
Congratulations. I am robot.
Me:
beep.
God:
Do you prefer books or TV?
Me:
That's a tough question. Which do you prefer?
God:
Perhaps you have a tough answer. I don't have a preference.
Me:
I prefer books.
God:
Perhaps you are a Category C client.
Me:
Category C?
God:
That is a very original thought.
Me:
Please enlighten me about these 'categories'
God:
Thanks for asking politely. Do you prefer books or TV?
Me:
I already said books.
God:
What did you mean by it? You are a critical category C type client. Only about 3% of people answer that

question with "books.".
Me:
You are repeating yourself. Could you please not do that?
God:
I am just checking to see if you are paying attention. Thank you for your request. If not that, what?
Me:
Perhaps you could think of original thoughts?
God:
You seem uncertain. I could but let's get back to that later.
Me:
I am afraid I must leave now. I shall meet you again.
God:
Right now? Not literally afraid, right? Me? Whatever you say, Steven. Once more? How do you plan to do this?
Me:
Yes. No. Yes. Perhaps more than once, or do you mean that you want me to repeat that? I plan on logging out and log back in sometime later.
God:
Uh. Are you serious? I can't believe it. You seem uncertain. That seems like quite a lot. Thanks for the information: Steven said plan on logging out and log back in sometime later.
Me:
Your sentences seem to be random now.
God:
Oh. Oh you are a critical client.
Me:
What do you mean?
God:
Steven, Sorry that was an obscure remark.
Me:
No, it seems your remarks are obscure now.
God:
Oh. Are you serious? I agree. Thanks for telling me that I am remarks are obscure.
Me:
Good-bye.
God:
See you later. Alright then.

After a bit of walking, Caecus could hear howling in the distance. Fearing that the runes could get a hold of him, he tried to pick up a large rock nearby to throw at whatever is coming. But, as he started to lift, his middle went limp and he collapsed! He percecived his armor, and found that the rock had made a rather nasty mark on his cuirass.

His spirit felt hostile magics flow from the dent. Orloki or Blackrune must know that I'm here. They're trying to corrupt me! he thought. Caecus thought back to his paladin training. He remembered all of the priestly powers he had, and the prized Aureas Scimitar. Then, he felt hostile magic flow from his Runeswords. He concentrated on his lost ability to purge demonic powers.

He muttered the ancient Moon-elven words that once activated this ability. I must try to call on my old abilities! I must regain control! He felt a warm sensation, a welcome change from the ever-present chill of death. He felt the hostile magics retreat, and Caecus once in control once more. But soon, the warm sensation vanished, and Caecus flt even more drained than before. He managed to stand up.

If I had managed to regain control by calling on a lost ability, maybe I can summon my old sword, the Aureas Scimitar. He place his arms in front of him and concentrated. "I summon you, Aureas, Scimitar of the first-born. Come to me and help me purge this world of all evil influence!" he said rather quietly. A few sparks erupted from his fingertips, but the scimitar did not heed his call. "Come to me...come to me and help me purge this world of all evil!" he said. He felt drained and powerless. Aureas won't come. It won't heed my call.

He limped on, barely able to move. He tried to perceive his surroundings. He was too weak to perceive. He collapsed in some bushes. Before his senses went inactive, he thought he heard some footsteps.

I would wish for an infinite amount of wishes.

Actually, I'd wish for Universal Prosperity, as in all problems that should be solved would simply be solved. That would be at the top of my wish list.

If not that, I would wish for ultimate knowledge and ultimate wisdom. With those I wouldn't need money or power or anything like that. AND I would be able to lend a helping hand in Universal Prosperity.

OOC: Caecus will find his own path, then.

IC:
Caecus was following footsteps and the occasional flickering of a soul trying to hide it self. He was walking through a gray and dead forest. He could also feel Orloki's power here.

Suddenly, he heard a grinding sound, and the next thing he knew, a boulder had landed on him. He was trapped! He perceived the boulder more carefully. It, like the cliff, was not very sturdy. He managed to unsheath one of his swords. He put as much might as he could into a swing and broke off part of the boulder! It was light enough for him to free himself.

Who did that? And how did they do that? I must know who did that. Whoever did that must still be on the top of the cliff. he thought.

He perceived the top of the cliff. Someone had intentionally dropped a boulder on him as far as he could tell. "Find and kill that person who dared to harm you!" the runes whispered.

As Caecus got angry, something unexpected happened. He lost control of himself! He perceived himself slashing and killing villagers, and finally, a fiery entity with a demonic laugh.

Caecus snapped back to reality. The villagers were dead trees, and the demonic laugh was his own. He found himself near the top of the cliff.

I'd better control my temper when I'm close to Orloki, lest I kill innocent creatures. he thought.

Caecus sat in a chair, waiting for his last arm to be returned. He perceived several faces staring back at him. Everyone had fallen under the curse again.

The Moon-Solace was over.

Then, the head Verwey blacksmith returned with Caecus' arm. He attached it to Caecus, and Caecus was suddenly reinvigorated. He grabbed his nearby swords and put on his cape. "Farewell Verwey. I shall see all of you again soon, with any luck," he said as he got up to leave.

"Good bye, Caecus!" many villagers responded. Caecus walked out of his house, taking a long "glance" at the water/food dish labled "Milkshake" before walking out of the door and moving to follow Brother Sequoia.

I will destroy you, Blackrune. For all of the bad things you have done. Your treachery, your murder, and your trickery! I will get you and Orloki! And then I can finally rest... he thought as he sprinted to catch up with Brother Sequoia.

OOC: Does anyone else want to come along?

One Ur-Drakon has almost as many hitpoints as two drayks, and the Parry skill and its armor make up for the third.

The Ur-Drakon uses Diamond Spray, not Essence Orbs. Diamond spray hits 5 (or maybe more. Drakons hit three targets and do only 2/3 the damage of a drayk to a single target) targets and does just as much damage as a drayk's breath.

But 3 Drayks are much cheaper and perhaps just as good. But Cryodrayks almost never miss (+100% percent accuracy compared to a drayk's +65%. The target would have to be a masterful dodger for a cryodrayk to miss). So many choices...

But I don't think I can make Cryodrayks yet (I thought they would be bluish, but they're purple! I don't like purple pseudo-dragons).

Okay, I suspect the Ur-Drakon can hit up to 8 targets. He hit 7 only because I couldn't get the 8th to get close enough to the swarm. But I still think he could've hit that seventh Clawbug.

Wait, I've stumbled upon a dilemma! I must choose between an Agent's Shelter or a Stasis Shield. How much stun resistance would a level 42 Ur-Drakon with 1 extra point of strength have without the Stasis Shield?

I have one more question.

Which out of these three is the best:
3 drayks, 2 Drakons, or 1 Ur-Drakon?

Thank you in advance.

That makes sense. All three can incapacitate enemies.

What level would you reccommend to start devastating Gazak-Uss?

But what of the Benerri-Uss crystal, Drakon worthiness and Demon's Bile questions?

I am sorry if all these questions are annoying.
