I somehow never got a hold of you to find out if I should send it to you, or if I could just update the site myself. As to the magnet, I have no idea what type of magnet it is, all I know is that he got it from his father, and that it is now stuck to the fridge where I have yet to find a way to get it off short of disassembling the fridge itself. It wouldn't have been so bad if he hadn't done it in conjunction with doing something to my computer causing a fatal error and resulting in me having to re-format the whole thing yet again. Fortunately the folks at SpidWeb were very understanding and sent me new keys for the games I'd bought no problem. -------------------- And the Glory of the Light did shine upon him. Well rested and ready to go again, I will shortly begin updating the General Information section of my A3 site, which I already did once, but then lost due to an extremely active computer using five year old. Incidentally, certain magnets can erase information of a CD, which is something I never knew before. I'll start working on it in the next couple of weeks and will hopefully update the site as I go along, taking into account the many suggestions made by various people. Before those incidents I hadn't had any problems with Jehovas Witnesses. In fact two of my best friends in high school were Jehovas Witnesses and I actually liked talking about religion with them and their parents, not that we always agreed with each other, but they didn't jump all over me and tell me I was doomed for not agreeing with them. I'm sorry if you feel I'm attacking your religion, but being harassed, and that's the only way to describe what happened, really turned me off of the entire concept of going door to door peddling religion. Minor point of fact... for the most part, I still don't dislike JW's, as long as they don't harass me. If I say I'm not interested, that should be respected. Does that not seem fair to you, Riibu, that if I say no thank you, I'm not interested, they respect that, rather than following me down the street trying to force me to take their publications, or telling me how I'm a horrible sinner? I know that those few people are not indicative of the entire church, but they're the ones I keep running into over and over. Religion, in particular, is something that I really feel you shouldn't debate, as you're too close-minded to be able to have a conversation about it. If you aren't even willing to accept that the other person's viewpoint might be valid, then you can't discuss it in any sort of rational way. I still remember you jumping all over me and telling me I couldn't be a Christian when I argued that I found Jehovas Witness' methods annoying and intrusive. Don't answer this when you've just read it and have to run off in five minutes. Take a little bit of time to think about it. Christianity, and most other religions, actually, boil down to a simple principle that most people teach their children before they even start school. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I've tried not to bash your religion, not always successfully, but I've at least made the attempt, whereas you seem to feel free to tell anyone who doesn't share your views that they're wrong. That's not fair, and, more to the point, it's not a Christian attitude to take. As for what started this topic, Palm Sunday is a day of contemplation for me. A day when I pause and try to think about what I personally can do to make my small section of the world a better place. It's also a day when I try to think of the one thing I like the least about myself, so that I can spend the next year trying to change it. So far it's been working on being patient with people, but I'm not getting very far, and I've been working on it for six years now. I'm thinking maybe I'll pick something else next year and give this one a rest for a while. -------------------- And the Glory of the Light did shine upon him. I don't think they have any idea how distracting it is when they're talking to people, nor do most of them realize that many people with their tongues pierced have an extremely annoying habit of clicking it against their teeth when they're bored or concentrating on something. I don't have a problem with tattoos, but I have to admit that I'm not overly fond of facial tattoos. There's one guy I see around town a lot who has a snake on one side of his face, some Chinese symbols on the other, and what appears to be a tiger on his forehead, and I personally think it makes him look like something that escaped from the freak show. -------------------- And the Glory of the Light did shine upon him.
