I hate the Redwall series. Those mise, hedehogs, badgers and others are a bunch of vicious, bloodthirsty hypocrites. The writer is a racist, and he portrays his feelings through the innocent animals! Remember, the ONLY 'good' rat was a complete idiot. Apparently all the sane ones are OMG OMG EVOL.

I'm trying to get through Lord of the Rings in English, but it's painful. It was so much more interesting in Finnish. I guess it's supposed to be proper english, but it seems a bit weird and I'm not used to it and it keeps distracting me. Also, I may have over-estimated my talents. Simpler stories must do.

So, should I tell you about Finland's politics? I just had an exam on that subject yesterday (history and civics, course 5). I don't think I did too badly. It's just that, I'm not exactly into politics, so my knowledge is a bit vague and at best only what I've learned from the book. No real-life examples possible. I'd just need to get home to check some things in my book... For clarification, you know?

Yhden asian vaan huomautan.

By the way, I dig how you did the Kafka thing with the protagonist's name in Patient II.

I wasn't fishing for compliments :/. Not consciously at least.
No comment on the loss. I've written enough about me that way.
You know, Edwin mentioned Kafka to me about that as well. I actually had no idea, I've only read like one of Kafka's stories. I like the Bible quotes more, anyway, but that's just me. I think they make the story kind of dramatic.

I play with the idea of becoming a 'professional' writer constantly, but I just don't get enough kicks from actual writing for it to be a worthwhile option. At least, not when I'm feeling moody.

Other than that, I'd like to study literature and maybe languages. Probably a bit of something related to computers, and then I'll just see where all of that takes me. Hopefully somewhere :P

EDIT: Oh, (anyone who isn't still terribly annoyed with me) could you be nice enough to take a look at my homepage and read maybe one, maybe two stories there? They're practically all in English, so that's no problem. I'd love to hear opinions, if possible.
I'll understand if no one is interested. After all... who would, for me?

This is exactly what annoys me so much. He can't even type and yet you welcome him with open arms thinking it's so nice to have new people around. In times like this he posts a pointless topic, and no one says anything about that? And no going around defending him by saying that he couldn't have known! Because he could have, he could have just joined, lurked for a while learning how things are supposed to be done.

And why is everyone being so nice? Why do you let these.. these n00bs go unharmed? Why do you let all those with numbers close to 4000 think they're somehow an important part of this community? They've hardly been here! Where are all those evil oldbies who were always oh-so ready to bite someone's head off?? Where is all the sarcasm? Everyone just keeps on 'encouraging' new members, when they should be verbally made feel like castrated midgets! With deformed limbs!

It feels like all those wonderful people have lost their touch, become softened with age. It's so wrong.. just because you're almost finally old enough to start doing idiotic things legally, doesn't mean you should start acting like your age too. It's never too late to try and reduce a complete stranger you met on the net to tears, just so you could suggest various ways of suicide to them. That's the beauty of it! The possibility to feel that you are indeed a better, more important person than that inferior creature with no decent self-defense.

By heavens, I'd love to do that to someone, but I know I'm not experienced enough to go that far. I can only make people feel slightly annoyed with me. I haven't yet mastered the skills needed to make people dread me in a positive way. I just know that right now I'm pissed off, I have no one to fight with, and God! Would someone please go and get Edwin fired from his job so I could yell at him for neglecting me?

EDIT: Did I forget to include that one simple phrase which lets all of you know what was my actual point? Oh yes... I hate you all, and I wish you'd disappear from these boards, never ever posting again.

Teh tree is that a-way.

quote:
Aw gee, now I got interested.

Hmm, it's true that the games are far too long to be adapted into a movie(s) on their own, but with some changes it might be possible. For one, you could skip first and second completely, only explaining the background of these in the third. Then there's many, many things from the game you can exclude, like most of the towns, places, subquests and so on. Some things could be combined. Most of the running around would have to be cut, some things would have to be altered into something simpler..

Erm, 'many years ago a great empire formed. It gained control of all the land, but it did not rule wisely. It hunted those who were different, and fought to deprave the land of uniqueness. People who resisted it's reign, were sent to a horrible prison. Miles and miles under the surface, an under-world... Avernum (or Exile).
One day, a group of bold heroes encountered a powerful mage, who was embittered of her exile from the surface. The mage encouraged the heroes to find a way to slay the emperor, and with her help they did. The empire was enraged by the death of their emperor, and as the late emperor's only descendant was only a child, the adviser, a powerful wizard, took control of the empire. He begun a war against Avernum. Teleports were built so that the empire's armies could descend below the surface, though none were big enough to allow the vast quantity of the empire's entire army to go down at once. The empire had started to built a bigger teleport, one that could transport much more people down, but Avernum had great heroes. They destroyed the portal after many adventures, with the help of strange beings from even farther below the ground.
And now... Avernum has its own portal, and they have found a way back to the surface, at last. Avernum wishes no war, it only wants sun again, and nature. All that has been only a distant and vague dream for so long.'

I'm not very good at improvising, it seems. I guess I should just stick with odd stories. At least I know what I'm writing about with them.
