This is exactly what annoys me so much. He can't even type and yet you welcome him with open arms thinking it's so nice to have new people around. In times like this he posts a pointless topic, and no one says anything about that? And no going around defending him by saying that he couldn't have known! Because he could have, he could have just joined, lurked for a while learning how things are supposed to be done. And why is everyone being so nice? Why do you let these.. these n00bs go unharmed? Why do you let all those with numbers close to 4000 think they're somehow an important part of this community? They've hardly been here! Where are all those evil oldbies who were always oh-so ready to bite someone's head off?? Where is all the sarcasm? Everyone just keeps on 'encouraging' new members, when they should be verbally made feel like castrated midgets! With deformed limbs! It feels like all those wonderful people have lost their touch, become softened with age. It's so wrong.. just because you're almost finally old enough to start doing idiotic things legally, doesn't mean you should start acting like your age too. It's never too late to try and reduce a complete stranger you met on the net to tears, just so you could suggest various ways of suicide to them. That's the beauty of it! The possibility to feel that you are indeed a better, more important person than that inferior creature with no decent self-defense. By heavens, I'd love to do that to someone, but I know I'm not experienced enough to go that far. I can only make people feel slightly annoyed with me. I haven't yet mastered the skills needed to make people dread me in a positive way. I just know that right now I'm pissed off, I have no one to fight with, and God! Would someone please go and get Edwin fired from his job so I could yell at him for neglecting me? EDIT: Did I forget to include that one simple phrase which lets all of you know what was my actual point? Oh yes... I hate you all, and I wish you'd disappear from these boards, never ever posting again. AiS--Is this really what you think? If it is, it should be you to leave the boards, not us. If you thinks all us n00bs are nerds, why post anyway? If we all left, you wouldn't be posting, either, so...it's a fair trade. What if it was you. You've played Spiderweb games and liked them and wanted to have your say in the community. You haven't been on this message board before and haven't lurked for years, you just wanted to chat, but you weren't sure of the unwritten rules that [most] people go by. People learn quickly to fit in, but don't expect it after 6 posts. We should be happy for new members. They're new people with (whether it seems like it to you or not) a brain--a brain for new ideas and new topic and new posts and a more active message board, and...if you want to look at it this way more oppotunities to overtake Alorael in post count (not that it's going to happen for a while, though... ;) ). Jethro is a new member that wants to have a good time here reading and posting and having fun. We shouldn't make him fell unwelcome by flaming him on his first topic. I was a newbie once, and so were you, and you didn't want to feel unwelcome.
