Yes, yes, it was an excellent vintage. And the profits all go to some nefarious deed or another. :P

He means to write in the same style as found in books that have already been published. Basically you take the trademarks of an author and use them in your own writing. Good exercise to try when learning to write creatively; bad idea to use another's trademarks while writing on a public-access board as it's skating on a copyright violation, if I'm not mistaken (and if I am, my bad!)

It depends upon usage. Parody is protected. Not getting a profit from doing so is sometimes protected depending upon whether it affects sales of the copyright holder. Releasing a free translation of a book is usually not allowed.

Writing in the style of an author is usually okay.

Oh, is it? Lol! I used to get in heaps of trouble for emulating my favourite authors in some of the RPs I was in before this one lol!!

This RP appears to have. . . a wide range of quality in it's plots.

Oh, and Iffy/Lucechiah, can you please wrap up the fight scene already? Preferably in one big post rather than the dozen or so small ones that are spread over days?

ET's way is funnier. Oh well he could edit it to he thinks it's an Anama skyship and gets thrown into the brig by the Runic League.

Nalyd, it's not my fault. I've been trying to get away yet the other person won't let me.

I want to get on with It's story.

I like that. He's drunk, and he has a nasty bump on the head. So...

Iffy & Luchy: Mind if I end it for you by having the skyship take a spill in New Colonia and recruiting the two of you?

I see. When you said we were forcible knocked unconscious I assumed it was by the enemy, not the people we were working for. I'm kind of busy at the moment but I'll think of some clever way to resolve this mess eventually. Perhaps there can be two skyships. One manned by the Manarinans trying to complete the quest, one manned by the Anama trying to stop them? Sort of like a race?

Goldenking: I'm cool with that; you're the boss so it's ultimately up to you. Was wondering how I'd drag Fi further into the fun! (BTW, the "client" is just an NPC and not terribly important, but it would satisfy Fi's ethics if she could see him safely to Manaraia (or whatever it's called lol!)).

Yipe. Erm... this is... well, odd.

Buckshot's character is definitely anorexic. And... well, this is all very odd. I feel like it looks a bit like SoT's thought experiment about what one of these SW-centric RPs might look like.

Safey, personally I'd like to see you play a non-magic character at some point in the future. Even better, a non-magic good-aligned character. Just food for thought.

But thats what real life is for.... On serious note I might give it a shot eventually.

I'd personally be excited to see it. You should consider joining the Avernum RP once we get it up and running again.

GoldenKing, I'm slightly disappointed in your responce. Something that can hurl a head-sized boulder with enough energy to blast a catpault apart with enough force to impale men on the wreakage meters away deserves a lot more then a few arrows.

More on the Avernum RP: It's not just limited to Avernum. In fact, it's open to all of Ermarian, including the regions of the surface that nobody else has really done much with (only boring people start in Valorim :P ). It's awesome.

Those who are interested should follow the link Azuma posted. Those who are really, really interested and have a bunch of time can find links to the original threads in that topic.
