Hey, you get what you pay for 'round here. I was just wondering if you were still here or had changed your moniker, Vlish. Now I can fire up the SICTG™ again, and we'll see who chuckles; yes, yes we will.

I'll just remind you that none of those titles are based on Marathon 2 levels.

Let's pause for a little look at how our SICTG™ comes up with its tasty offerings. The SICTG™ is fully wired for internet access. All Spiderweb history and any conceivable online database is at its immediate retrieval. Let's look a little closer at how it arrived at its latest product, the recently-generated custom title for Belisarius.

The first thing the SICTG™ knew was that Belisarius was a general under the Roman Emperor Justinian. The SICTG™ was a bit embarrassed to admit that it knew this from reading the comic strip Prince Valiant a long time ago.

Consulting the ever-handy Wikipedia, the SICTG™ noticed that one popular legend about Belisarius says that late in his life his eyes were removed courtesy of Emperor Justinian.

Next, the SICTG™ considered recent and even ancient Spiderweb activity. It noted that in the abominable photo threads there has been discussion concerning the eyes of Alec, holder of the Belisarius moniker. Aha, the trusty SICTG™ now knew it had all it needed to go on and calculated the cross-relevance.

With all factors finally integrated, the SICTG™ arrived at the inevitable result of "Eyes Out For You."

I don't think I really contribute anything to these boards. It's like always being in the kitchen of the Big Party of Spiderweb™.

Synergy, there is nothing embarrassing about reading Prince Valiant. Or the dictionary, for that matter. Diff' strokes, yo.

...kidding, Prince Valiant's not that bad.

Note that that post had much less value that the post it criticizes.

It was once truly magnificient, both artistically and storywise. There was a golden age of comic strips in America well before my time during which the Sunday newspapers were actually sold wrapped inside the comics. They were that popular. One comic strip like Prince Valiant filled a whole newspaper page from top to bottom with truly exquisite artwork. It may be that some of us, even decades after that golden age for a time fanatically collected such classics.

Aha, I note that you're one of the M2 relics to whom Drakey alluded. I still think the authors of M2 stole that level title from a Nitzer Ebb song which predates it.

Kingy — back atcha, buddy. You're a Cancer, aren't you?

I am jealous of the titles. However, I also take some perverse pride in the fact that there's probably no one here (besides me) who knows enough about me to propose anything fitting.

Hmm, maybe I can borrow this idea for the other board. It'll be rejected, but that's no reason not to try it.

Fret not, she of the elusive, but undoubtedly worthy five-star rating. The SICTG™ is well-equipped to deal with these little dilemmas.

Well, I suppose it would be, but I think I'm doing all right in that department.

I don't know that Synergy could really help with that, anyway.

I'm not entirely sure that it requires even passing knowledge of a person for Drakey or stareye to bestow a title. It simply happens, much like the Synerthingy.

And to be clear, it is not a title. It is your member status.

Actually, I *did* spend several days wearing a tin foil helmet, last year. I also talked about aliens trying to steal my thoughts. And I got paid for it. Ahh, now that was a wonderful job.
