It has some crappy armors, some crappy armors that give +1 AP, and some ridiculously broken weapons, like a "Vahnatai Knife" that does 1-15 damage + 1-15 damage/level. Dragon King> Well, I got the name wrong. The BoE scenario is just "The Silver Blades". Also, my C64 was a "portable" one, so it had a built-in monitor. Of course, back then, portable meant it was bigger than my desktop is now, but it had a monitor built in. I told you it wasn't a good scenario, didn't I? Well, see, when I first heard that there'd be a new scenario named "Undead Valley", my thoughts went to the BoE scenario "Secret of the Silver Blades" - a somewhat boring hack & slash scenario released in the early days of BoE. While I harbored no illusions that Undead Valley would be a masterpiece, I believed that it would be... several degrees better than it was. Alright. Given this data, I feel alright about sticking with 25 levels for my weapon chart. Anyone who thinks it's too high or too low is welcome to comment, though. Given the data, however, cudgels (from Emerald Mountain) seem to be exceedingly good weapons. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Also, re.VCH, your stats don't help me at all without levels to compare them to. Everyone else, thanks for your help, and it'd be nice if I could get some lower-level parties here, too, if anyone has those sitting around. > It is possible to buy every skill in the game. Buy skills before buying items. Hrm? But there are no trainers for Strength, for instance... or did I misunderstand you? > Undead Valley skews the game completely because there is a trainer at the end where you can buy 5 points of lethal blow and 5 points of quickstrike as well as other things. Undead Valley skews a lot of other things, too, with its ridiculously statted god weapons. You can already buy 4 points of Quick Strike from DwtD, anyway. > There are too many knowledge brews throughout the scenarios. They make good rewards for higher-level parties... > I really should lower the hardiness because there is a mistake in Backwater Calls that lets you get almost unlimited hardiness. Darn it! TM swore up and down that there were no skill trainers in Backwater Calls, and only one spell gain. It seems now that this is not the case, at least for skill trainers Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

http://imban.desperance.net/boa/Artifacts_By_Scenario.txt http://imban.desperance.net/boa/Artifacts_By_Power.txt http://imban.desperance.net/boa/Item_Guide.txt http://imban.desperance.net/boa/Skill_Trainers.txt http://imban.desperance.net/boa/Spell_List.txt From top to bottom, a list of all unique items in all current scenarios (a checklist, I guess), a list of all unique items sorted vaguely by power (measured rather simply), a list of all equippable items in BoA sorted vaguely by power (again measured rather simply), a list of all skill trainers in BoA scenarios, and a list of all spell level purchase/gain opportunities in BoA scenarios. Utilities and Undead Valley are not counted here. --- I'd also like a bit of statistical data, if you're reading this and happen to be on your BoA computer. Namely, I'm looking for the level of your party's or parties' weapon-using characters and the amount of weapon levels they have. (For example, polearm users have Strength + Pole Weapons + Blademaster weapon levels. For archers, this is Dexterity/2 + Bows + Sharpshooter.) Well, it's a really bad scenario. Still, when and if I get my webspace back, I'll see about posting it. EDIT: I did. http://imban.desperance.net/boa/Undead%20Valley.zip [ Wednesday, March 23, 2005 20:24: Message edited by: Imban ] Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Xan, in the future, do not post links of that nature. You've been reported to the mod board for that. Everyone else, in the future, don't quote stuff like that and make me have to edit it out. :P [ Tuesday, March 22, 2005 13:58: Message edited by: Imban ] Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Well, theoretically, Croikle's editor is damage to your game, since it replaces an obelisk with no functionality with one that functions as a character editor. However, if you mean "will it make stuff not work", your game should be 100% fine after having installed it. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Knifing Demetrius yourself consistently terminates BoA with an unhandled exception. This is a "Don't DO that!" error because there's no reason you'd want to do this, but it's an error nonetheless. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |
