If anyone has this, I'd be very happy if they'd send it my way. I only have testing version 8 sitting around, and since 9 seems to be the final version, I'd like to have it. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

As Toast mentioned on the other thread, I'm pretty sure 8 was the last version. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Why doesn't somebody just release it to the whole community? Its not fair that only some should get it finished or not. [ Wednesday, March 23, 2005 18:10: Message edited by: VCH ] -------------------- The Knight Between Posts. Posts: 2395 | Registered: Friday, November 2 2001 08:00 |

Well, it's a really bad scenario. Still, when and if I get my webspace back, I'll see about posting it. EDIT: I did. http://imban.desperance.net/boa/Undead%20Valley.zip [ Wednesday, March 23, 2005 20:24: Message edited by: Imban ] Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Holy ****. I really regret ever wanting to play undead valley. That has to be the worst scenario ever. Mind numbing boring combat, no plot, stupid massive empty outdoors. Its like somebody ported it straight from the gameboy advance. RPG whatever, first person hacker yes. Ahh get that horrible thing out of my brain.   [ Thursday, March 24, 2005 18:41: Message edited by: VCH ] -------------------- The Knight Between Posts. I told you it wasn't a good scenario, didn't I? Well, see, when I first heard that there'd be a new scenario named "Undead Valley", my thoughts went to the BoE scenario "Secret of the Silver Blades" - a somewhat boring hack & slash scenario released in the early days of BoE. While I harbored no illusions that Undead Valley would be a masterpiece, I believed that it would be... several degrees better than it was. It has some crappy armors, some crappy armors that give +1 AP, and some ridiculously broken weapons, like a "Vahnatai Knife" that does 1-15 damage + 1-15 damage/level. Dragon King> Well, I got the name wrong. The BoE scenario is just "The Silver Blades". Also, my C64 was a "portable" one, so it had a built-in monitor. Of course, back then, portable meant it was bigger than my desktop is now, but it had a monitor built in. There are a couple of reasons to play this thing. These are probably the only reason to play this. 1) The "barmy" purple dragon is kind of funny. 2) The impossible bridge three layers of monsters -- efreet, null bug, altered basilisk. 3) The lightning pillar trap. 4) The undead gauntlet-- icy skeletons (cold field) and ruby skeletons (heat ray) combined makes for an interesting fight. 5) The vahnavoi javelineers cross fire room. Other than that-- it is a long exercise in humongous fights. Micael may be working on it again... You have to give him credit for trying... I gave up after taking out the first group on the bridge then realising there were like 5 more. Itz okay to have tough fights, but not boring ones. There was nothing compelling me to finish the game. -------------------- The Knight Between Posts. Posts: 2395 | Registered: Friday, November 2 2001 08:00 |

I played it for ten seconds and stopped. The only reason why it's ten seconds is because I didn't get control for ten seconds because of some unseen battle. -------------------- —Zxquez Zolohahni Xerch'de/Rate. Posts: 549 | Registered: Thursday, October 17 2002 07:00 |

I tried to play it, but it freezes all the time: reloads without number, invisible weapons and problems with picking up items ... :( Undead Valley is not for Mac, right? -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet? And there was that tower which had the friendly monsters except I kept shouting at them for ages and they still didn't open the gates so I just walked around the tower and left on the other side. And the monty haul! Corpses have on average 500 gold and the sheer number of artifacts lying around. And the 'reward' chest had everything except an emerald as 'not yours'. Pheh! But I did like the fact that the special sword was destroyed just before you left the senario. It was good becuase it meant it wouldn't unbalance the other games. -------------------- Milla-Displacer Beastie This is also a good site Posts: 650 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

OK, just finished...alright if you like fighting a lot...there were some annoying glitches...the first tower, after beating the Zombie Dragon, who the heck was I supposed to be talking to? Myself? There was noone else there. And Getting back to the beginning. Highly annoying having to travel back to where I was, through all the empty towers, walls and bridges. Still, with a few tweaks, it could be good. -------------------- Aa' menle nauva calen ar' ta hwesta e' ale'quenle, melloneamin. --------------------- Finder of impossible beta testing errors. I found a cool item or two. I'm not sure it it's usable outside of this scenerio, but it is a sword with a HUGE attack power. Blademaster's Sword 26 - 1950 dmg. + 1 - 75/level You get this sword plus a "Learning Brew" with gives +15 skill points by going through the huge gate before the first tower and defeating the Vahnvoi Blademaster. EDIT : The sword is a non-transferable item. Never mind. [ Monday, March 28, 2005 22:16: Message edited by: Dimebag ] Posts: 22 | Registered: Friday, May 14 2004 07:00 |

I was not able to go somewhere else than to the first tower, to a woman selling recipes and to a very nice installation of bread and herbs. Where are the other places? Anyway, my file seems such corrupted, maybe I just can't continue. :( E.g. that sword is invisible for me. -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet?
