Utilities and Undead Valley are not counted here. --- I'd also like a bit of statistical data, if you're reading this and happen to be on your BoA computer. Namely, I'm looking for the level of your party's or parties' weapon-using characters and the amount of weapon levels they have. (For example, polearm users have Strength + Pole Weapons + Blademaster weapon levels. For archers, this is Dexterity/2 + Bows + Sharpshooter.) Buy skills before buying items. Undead Valley skews the game completely because there is a trainer at the end where you can buy 5 points of lethal blow and 5 points of quickstrike as well as other things. You can also buy stat increases in Undead Vally-- Strength is one of them-- however it is very expensive. I really should lower the hardiness because there is a mistake in Backwater Calls that lets you get almost unlimited hardiness. Divinely touched gives you ridiculous stat increases at high level. So does the Nephilim dex bonus. There are too many knowledge brews throughout the scenarios. If characters go through scenarios more than once-- this can really skew the game. This is especially true for betatesting. There is a cap of level 100 for monsters. So after lvl 70 it becomes very hard to advance characters quickly. Thus buy as many skills as possible-- it becomes hard to advance later. Also try and get knowledge brews. I am trying to make this party into a god party using scenarios. However, I do not think it will be able to advance past lvl 150 because of the monster level cap. HLPM God Parties are lvl 250. I think I'll send spiderweb and BoA-Center an updated version during Eastern. And now, so that I won't be just spamming, I'll write some statistics about my singleton: Sarah Lvl 78 St = 20 Dx = 21 En = 8 Meelee = 11 Bow = 12 Sharpshooter = 10 -------------------- These are my scenarios. Also, re.VCH, your stats don't help me at all without levels to compare them to. Everyone else, thanks for your help, and it'd be nice if I could get some lower-level parties here, too, if anyone has those sitting around. > It is possible to buy every skill in the game. Buy skills before buying items. Hrm? But there are no trainers for Strength, for instance... or did I misunderstand you? > Undead Valley skews the game completely because there is a trainer at the end where you can buy 5 points of lethal blow and 5 points of quickstrike as well as other things. Undead Valley skews a lot of other things, too, with its ridiculously statted god weapons. You can already buy 4 points of Quick Strike from DwtD, anyway. > There are too many knowledge brews throughout the scenarios. They make good rewards for higher-level parties... > I really should lower the hardiness because there is a mistake in Backwater Calls that lets you get almost unlimited hardiness. Darn it! TM swore up and down that there were no skill trainers in Backwater Calls, and only one spell gain. It seems now that this is not the case, at least for skill trainers Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Only one spell gain? You can also improve Arcane Blow, Summon Aid and Smite (In addition to the Forcecage that TM apparently mentioned). The way I see it, only the smite was hard to find. Well, technically there are no skill trainers. But you can get a hardiness bonus in Backwater Calls. Same thing I guess. -------------------- These are my scenarios. I may have too much free time but I really don't care. (For reference, Popes II and III are my spellcasters, and :. have practically no combat skills. Something plus something else is stat bonuses gained from items. Something plus something in italics is a bonus from a weapon that helps its own use, ie. Adlerauge.) Alright. Given this data, I feel alright about sticking with 25 levels for my weapon chart. Anyone who thinks it's too high or too low is welcome to comment, though. Given the data, however, cudgels (from Emerald Mountain) seem to be exceedingly good weapons. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |
