Oh, crap, I forgot! With Imban still gone, everybody is still disappearing! That will have to be rectified before the newbies arrive. Oh, and I am NOT Imban. Thus, I will not disappear. -------------------- I tried to think of something witty to put here. Needless to say, I failed. Posts: 2686 | Registered: Friday, September 8 2006 07:00 |

What Spells Do You Wish You Could Cast? in Geneforge 4: Rebellion | |

What spells do you wish you could cast? Me, I think I would like to be able to cast Diamond Spray (this is what Swarm Crystals and Jeweled Wands fire). The ability to level eight or more foes with blasts of energy would be an exciting prospect. Also, maybe a Mass Speed spell, for when you need to haste everyone nearby quickly. -------------------- Scenarios need reviews! Please rate these scenarios at the CSR after playing them! Then again, it has the most powerful Geneforge in it. But, on the other hand, you don't get to make exploding Vlish, either. -------------------- Scenarios need reviews! quote:I think Jeff removed that restriction in the latest versions of the game. Also, there's another benefit to hanging on to creations. Generally, creations can level up faster than if you absorb them an make a new one. Of course, absorbing them for a new tier of creations is usually a practical route. Even the most level-advanced lower tier creations tend to lose their value when you wander into a new chapter. -------------------- Scenarios need reviews! I would suggest that you either help the Shapers to get training from him, or look for help elsewhere. (Namely, the Rebel Safehouse) -------------------- Scenarios need reviews! quote:Actually, this is completely feasible. Virtual Memory is created by using the Hard Disk as RAM. The problem is, Hard Drives are nowhere near as fast as RAM, which means that it takes longer to load something into or out of Virtual Memory. And if you have a larger Page file (or in my case, three page files varying sizes), it further aggravates the problem. Actually, I may have a bit of an advantage with having three page files (there is a page file for each drive; I couldn't support one larger page file on a single drive). One page file is one drive C:, an unpartitioned disk. The other two are on Drives E: and F:, which are two separate partitions on the same disk. Because of that fact, my computer can probably access VM faster because it has two disks working on it instead of one. I'm not exactly sure about that, though. -------------------- I tried to think of something witty to put here. Needless to say, I failed. Posts: 2686 | Registered: Friday, September 8 2006 07:00 |

Yes. Creations can only nab stuff that's out in the open. On a related note, it appears that you can do this again in GF4. -------------------- I tried to think of something witty to put here. Needless to say, I failed. Posts: 2686 | Registered: Friday, September 8 2006 07:00 |
