Enraged Slith has a Hill Goblin with a Crossbow. Not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for, though. A month is probably too long, if there's such a thing. That might give room for another RP to spring up, and then we're right back at square one. I'd say a week to two weeks would be sufficient. Though, if it comes down to it, a solid deadline of when it starts back up might prove prudent. -------------------- Nioca's Citadel Posts: 2686 | Registered: Friday, September 8 2006 07:00 |

I would, of course, be full-willing to retake the role of Avin, though I do express some concern over timing. Let's not have this on the heels of NHftD like pretty much every RP that has been started since LoD's original incarnation. Otherwise, this will just wind up falling flat like the others. Aside from that, the timing could prove useful, with summer vacation coming up. -------------------- Nioca's Citadel Posts: 2686 | Registered: Friday, September 8 2006 07:00 |

Meh. I figured that, since I was already typing out the full name, I might as well go the extra mile. Anyway, if Shadow Vale doesn't work, you might want to try the Blades Forge. I know TftTI is there as well. -------------------- Nioca's Citadel Posts: 2686 | Registered: Friday, September 8 2006 07:00 |

Keep an eye out for Knowledge brews as well; it'll help iron out the difference between the fighter and the mage on a pure skill-point ratio level. Also, try leaving the Mage behind and doing easier stuff like Randomizer suggested for a while. And finally, note that the fighter will catch up with the mage eventually; it just takes time and a lot of patience (and even then, I've noticed that fighters in A2 tend to suck) -------------------- Hz'ii'zt a'iiencf coxnen a'bn'z'p pahuen yzpa'zuhb be'tt'phukh'kn az'ii'ova mxn't bhcizvi'fl? I first read the topic title as "Happy Passout". Well, Happy Passover to all SWers who celebrate the holiday. So, on a recent trip to the grocery store, I noticed that the store is now stocking SPAM. Now, I have very little interest to try it, except for a slight curiosity. So I was wondering (and hence the poll): how many members here have had spam? And if so, what did you think of it? quote:Eternal Flame wasn't (somehow, I almost said 'Internal Flame'), but Spawner was the Ur-Noob's top lieutenant in Episode 1. He was the one who led the army for most of the episode, and effectively did all of the legwork. Thus, it stands to reason that, when they hired the mercenary regiment of flamers, it was Spawner that met with EF and worked out the agreement. Spawner himself was highly proficient with weapons, and also could change his appearance at will. He also was rather charismatic. -------------------- Nioca's Citadel Posts: 2686 | Registered: Friday, September 8 2006 07:00 |

I was thinking Spawner, actually. It explains how he knew EF from the n00b wars, and also why he's so nondescript. -------------------- Nioca's Citadel Posts: 2686 | Registered: Friday, September 8 2006 07:00 |

I had something similar happen, where a NPC that was following me charged into a swarm of enemies and promptly died. Why? Maybe they realized their existence as mere 0s and 1s in a mess of circuitry and decided that they couldn't live with the truth. Or maybe the pathfinding system got screwed up somehow. Either way, the only way to fix it is to reload from a point before the NPC suicide and try again. And if it happens again, you'll just have to kill that Drayk to prevent the suicide in the first place. Of course, that could have the side effect of Reiner reaching the Drayk nest, discovering it dead, and sobbing to the heavens, "WHY?!?!? WHY DO YOU ALLOW SAVE AND RESTORE?!? WHY?!?!?" But I suppose a sobbing servile is better than a dead one. -------------------- Hz'ii'zt a'iiencf coxnen a'bn'z'p pahuen yzpa'zuhb be'tt'phukh'kn az'ii'ova mxn't bhcizvi'fl? quote:It's unfortunate that a sense of morality is currently being construed here as pretentiousness. :( Let me get something straight here; I have no qualms about someone expressing distaste for another person or their behavior. I have no problem with someone stating their mind. I have no problem with someone making such statements with spite or venom. But what I do have a problem with is someone declaring open season on a person and delivering an undeserved verbal beat-down when the opportunity arises. For example, your comment toward Jeran doesn't bother me. Not in the slightest. In fact, I agree with you on that. But, and this is the key here, you didn't verbally abuse him while doing it. -------------------- Nioca's Citadel Posts: 2686 | Registered: Friday, September 8 2006 07:00 |
