That's why i said, or at least i thought i did, that it is not possible today, coz we are to used to capitalistic thinking; and therefore your vision'd be fulfilled! Anarchy is just the farthest extent of evolvement of human society! Nothing more, nothing less! And furtheremore, i'm not saying we mustn't have rules, just not the idiotic ones. And there should be no holes in them!!!!!! -------------------- I don't care what you say, I'm punk and Hardcore all the way! Posts: 185 | Registered: Sunday, June 4 2006 07:00 |

Well, i know it's not directed at me, but i believe even the experienced ones had to become this way. You have to start once. You've really got nothing to lose if you apply. Well, the thing is, I'm triing to make a scenario to feature a day stage followed by a night stage, followed by a day stage, and so on. The purpose of a night stage would be to face an evil presence (probably your own temptations, bad habits, etc.) that haunts and drains you by day and prevents you from functioning normally. I know it may sound silly and uninterresting by some (i hope not too many though) players, but i think it might be interresting whenever completed. So, every night you'd have a chance to destroy your enemy, but if you failed (even got killed in combat), you wouldn't die, but just wake up; maybe even a little weaker :) . -------------------- I don't care what you say, I'm punk and Hardcore all the way! Well, i wanted to write something, but milu already told it all! All i'd like to add is, that i believe an anarchist party could, in theory, exist, but it should disband at the moment it took over and declared anarchy. We in Slovenia, or actually the former Yugoslavia, had a similar thing once. We had this Communist Party which came to rule. Which is absurd coz in Communism there is NO state therefore NO parties; other than wild, uncontrolled, birthday ones :) ! As for me, although i often use AnarhIztok, not just on the net, as a nick name, I don't regard myself as an anarchist, nor do i regard my self as not an anarchist. I'm just ME! Coz if I want Anarchy, it is ME who has to be like this, I don't really have the right, nor want others to be this way. For i believe if we all thought alike there'd not be much fun, would there? :) Also I know that if the world'd enter the period of Anarchy now there'd be nothing good out of it - it's most likely it'd be unregulated capitalism topped with totalitarism or something worse. Actually i believe that nowadays we need some strict rules, but only the ones we REALLY need. I mean, in Slovenia, we have our law based totally on the ancient Roman law and on the law from the Habsburg Monarchy. Don't you think it's time for it to adapt a little. (Maybe including something about strict and stern punisments for those whose only purpose is to try to drown us in adds. A good thing my parrents taught me how to swim when we still had the good old socialism :D ) -------------------- I don't care what you say, I'm punk and Hardcore all the way! Hey, I have a problem. I have this new panda antivirus (evaluation copy) and always when i surf the internet and try to look at my (yahoo) mail or my (spiderweb) profile it says that i'm not logged in... BUT I AM! It says it's got something to do with cookies (i'm using opera 9.0), although i have it set to accept all of them. And when i set that it has to inform me of the cookies then i have to click to accept everyone, but it works. The other remedy is to turn panda off, of course. Well, i know that these two things work, but still they are quite obviously pathetic. It gets really boring very quickly to click accept for EVERY cookie, and furthermore my fingers will get worn before i'm 30 if i keep it up. And disabling panda everytime i go online is also nonsense, coz yo need it when on the net, right? So does anyone have any experience whatsoever? Please! Oh, and I'm using Win 98 SE. And when i try working online with IE 6.0 it's the same story, so it's not a panda/opera issue as i deducted. -------------------- I don't care what you say, I'm punk and Hardcore all the way! Is there any code that would allow you to revive all characters after they all die? So that when the last one is killed by any means, they'd just all be revived. -------------------- I don't care what you say, I'm punk and Hardcore all the way! Posts: 185 | Registered: Sunday, June 4 2006 07:00 |

Well, I got an idea and want to write my first scenario - don't worry, I tried to make a big one once, and I learned my lesson - so it will be a short one. I just stumbled upon one detail I cannot solve. I want to make a certain event or a special that would occur if let say, hypothetically, your dexterity is high enough. But to avoid setting an exact amount, I wanted to make it more likely to happen if your dex is higher. Like for example: (dex x 5)% of happening or something So that even if you hadn't 20 dex it could happen - you would just need to try more times, like rolling dice, if you get what I mean ... Thanks in advance ------------------------------------ Look! It's my one hundredth post! A time for celebration! ... Or is it? -------------------- I don't care what you say, I'm punk and Hardcore all the way! Posts: 185 | Registered: Sunday, June 4 2006 07:00 |

Well, you know, to make a closed curve back to the beginning of this thread, if everyone used the geneforge, then it also wouldn't be so dangerous, coz if one was evil and used it for evil purposes, some others might use it to prevent him - coz, providing everyone is at equal strenghths, for every disease there is a remedy or a prevention. In the meantime: quote:Well, as I remember they wanted to kill every servile, human and drayk who was at the Sucia island... quote:HMMM, i don't think that is taker doctrine - takers just wantED just to destroy Shapers, what you said became true only when drakons took over in G3 (not to be confused with the drayk - taker symbiosys of G2). Well, since in G4 you start as a rebel and rebels believe in creations' rights and all, would something like this not be suitable? Or at least, as an idea, it should be so that as long as you'd want to be a rebel you wouldn't be allowed to absorb creations. Then you'd need somewhere to store them, release them or you'd have to keep them till they are killed by enemies - coz sending them to the minefield would also be inhumane - or inservileane, or something, since i heard something about you can be a servile. -------------------- I don't care what you say, I'm punk and Hardcore all the way! OH, yeah! Keep the secrets and if someone finds them, even by accident, just burn them all; and their families, especially little children, and everyone who's connected in any a small way with them. COZ THAT'S JUSTICE AND FOR THE GOOD OF ALL! I just don't see how it is good for the ashes of those who were butchered. Well, don't get me wrong or anything, but if you keep the secrets, someone'll always find them out and then what'll you do? If you leave them be, your secret is revealed and you've a lot of trouble. If you don't want for your secret to come out you either kill them or destroy their life, along with the lives of the people they know, etc., in any other way. And thus you make it equally bad as if someone'd use your secret for malicios purposes. -------------------- I don't care what you say, I'm punk and Hardcore all the way! Well, i've been looking at a2 again and i realised i never found a character named foley, who the mayor of formello talks about. I've never even noticed him in any of the walkthroughs. Does he exist, or was that mayor just making small talk? -------------------- I don't care what you say, I'm punk and Hardcore all the way! Posts: 185 | Registered: Sunday, June 4 2006 07:00 |

Yes, that's true, but if it's secret only a handful of people will know or find out by luck on their own. And if these mean harm, then the geneforge will be in the wrong hands only, assuming the shapers don't use it anymore or just forget about it, like they did, of course. If a lot know about it, maybe someone could figure a way to counteract it, like make a generestore or something. If you do something wrong or something you're ashamed of, it can bring shortlived stability, but sooner or later, no matter how the secret keeping methods are strict, something has to come out, and then, I believe, it hurts you far more than it would if you came out clean at the beginning. And also, in my opinion at least, a person that admits the mistakes might get more confidence, but this is another topic ... -------------------- I don't care what you say, I'm punk and Hardcore all the way! Well, not a serious problem, it's just that i'm using a quite old pc (Win 98, 750 MHz, 120 MB RAM, etc.) and it's rather annoying when it stops for five or so seconds every now and then right in the middle of play. -------------------- I don't care what you say, I'm punk and Hardcore all the way! Hej, i don't know if i'm saying anything new, coz i didn't read every post. The worst man ever was right in his own way, but only IF then the doors would be mixed again and you'd not know which was which. But otherwise, here's the logic in common way of thinking: THE HOST KNOWS THE ANSWER AND IS A ROBOT - IMPORTANT!!! You've 1/3 chance the first time around and let's suppose it's the door number two, the one that's correct. If you pick 1, the host opens 3(1/3), if you pick 3 he/she opens 1(1/3 again) and if you pick 2 he opens 1(1/2 of 1/3) or 3(again 1/2 times of 1/3). So now for the upper problem: If you choose door 1 and he/she opens door 3. Look above. If your door's correct, you have 1/2 chance that the host'll open door 3 and if it's door 2, the correct one, there's 1 chance the 3'll be opened - get the conclusion?? Of course, that's just pure logic, which certainly does not work when we deal with human beings, especially if one was to implement psichology and stuff like that... And also if there were 1000 doors and you picked door 1 and the otherone laft'd be, let's say, door 537, it'd be a much higher probability that it's that door, since probably humans make the show and they'd rarely hide the price behind door 1... -------------------- I don't care what you say, I'm punk and Hardcore all the way! well, i don't know if it is really that, but do you have a ; sign behind the ) sign alter_stat(30000,53,1); otherwise if nothing works, just add alter_stat(30000,53,1); to any other code that happens only once - maybe another book and see if you get the spell now. -------------------- I don't care what you say, I'm punk and Hardcore all the way!
