Originally by Stillness: quote:And yet, considering how easy it is to google up stuff like this, it seems that "using stuff for its intended purpose" isn't always harmonious either. Also, the first reference had "and venereal infections in the partner" in it, so I read the abstract. The study concludes "[t]he presence of high-risk types of HPV, notably HPV-16 (which is known to cause cancer of the cervix), in the majority of anal-cancer tissue specimens suggests that most anal cancers are potentially preventable." Given that these same high-risk types of HPV cause most cases of cervical cancer too, it proves nothing about hetero-vaginal sex being better than anal sex. Dikiyoba thinks one of the main reason we don't see many children (and perhaps cats and dogs) in Geneforge is that everyone can be killed (and in fact certain places are meant to be wiped out). Letting the PC slaughter children is generally not viewed as a good thing. -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

There are (or were) dogs in the Geneforge world. In G1, one of the Sholai describe roamers as "little walking dog things." G4 also describes roamers: "There is a small pack of roamers here, noisily eating meat and resting up for the next hunt. Roamers are, most likely, a highly modified breed of dog. The Shapers apparently decided, at some point, that a dog could only be improved by the ability to spit acidic saliva. Or to explode." Dikiyoba. Edit: Clarification. Probably. :P Dikiyoba suspects the demos are all similar in size. But, the second one did seem larger than the others to Dikiyoba. Edit: Typo. Originally by Micro Phage: quote:Heh. A fascinating look at the inner workings of UBB. (To clarify, Azuma's display name at the time he made the post was probably Haakai-Tender Valcrist, so even though he's changed his name since then, that name is still connected to that post.) quote:Dikiyoba doesn't think that's sarcasm, so necromancy is a term for (usually unwarranted) topic revivals, not a Geneforge-related discussion.
